Wyclef Jean Slams Donald Trump’s Claims Haitian Immigrants Are Eating Pets

The 2024 presidential debate took place between Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on Tuesday (September 10).

Unsurprisingly, Trump was full of outrageous claims and hateful rhetoric as he battled his opponent. One of the most egregious comments was the notion Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio are eating residents’ pets. Now, Wyclef Jean, the Fugees MC and native of Haiti, has weighed in on Trump’s remark.

“I will be forever grateful for my family’s life, for having a fair chance to live what is called the ‘American Dream,'” he told TMZ. “One of our greatest assets in America is that we are a country of immigrants. I speak from the heart when I say, Haitian people living in the U.S. are good neighbors and good people. We care about humanity. We care about our neighbors.”

He continued, “On behalf of Haitian Americans, I ask that we stop these racist messages and accusations. Put our hands out in peace and say thanks for being my neighbor. We need to respect one another and vote based on policies and facts, not crazy talk. And we need to shake hands with one another and be thankful we are part of an America for all.”

The September 10 debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump marked a critical moment in the 2024 presidential race. Harris, stepping into the spotlight as the Democratic candidate, sought to distance herself from Trump by positioning herself as a forward-looking candidate. Throughout the debate, she maintained a composed and direct demeanor, focusing on issues like abortion rights and economic disparities.

Trump, meanwhile, struggled to keep his arguments on track, often veering into discussions about his past rallies and contesting the results of the 2020 election. Harris effectively put Trump on the defensive, especially when discussing sensitive topics like his criminal charges and past controversies.

The debate was widely seen as a victory for Harris, with many observers noting that she baited Trump into a series of missteps. His tone grew increasingly agitated as the night wore on, contrasting with Harris’ calm and calculated responses. Harris’ goal of casting herself as a leader capable of moving the nation forward was evident, while Trump focused more on relitigating his previous presidency.

Although this debate may not have dramatically shifted the race’s trajectory, it showcased Harris’ ability to stand her ground against Trump’s aggressive style, offering a clear contrast in leadership style.

At one point, Harris told Trump that world leaders view him as a “disgrace” and laugh at him behind closed doors. She also said he was fired by 81 million voters, adding, “Clearly, he’s having a very difficult time processing that.”

Harris also laughed when Trump brought up the unfounded conspiracy theory about migrants eating pets in Springfield, Ohio and smirked when he claimed he wanted transgender operations for illegal aliens in prison. Needless to say, it was a spectacle to behold.

Lil Scrappy Shoots His Shot At Summer Walker After Her Sultry MTV VMAs Look Snapped Necks

Lil Scrappy isn’t holding back when it comes to expressing his feelings for R&B star Summer Walker. In a recent video, the “No Problem” rapper made a direct, flirtatious plea to the singer, who turned heads at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

Walker, who was nominated in the Best R&B Video category alongside USHER for their “Good Good” collaboration, embraced her wild side in a very literal way with her outfit choice.

Opting to work the VMAs’ Black carpet in a Cheetah print mini dress with heels to match, Walker’s eye-popping appearance was accented by a dramatic curly blonde hairstyle, a little red purse and cigarette. Even though the look wasn’t very demure, as they say, Lil Scrappy was captivated by Walker’s get-up, to say the least.

“Man y’all need to tell Summer Walker I said ‘What’s happenin’,” Lil Scrappy said in part in the video.

His words became somewhat jumbled in the video due to the ambient background noise, but the lust Scrappy has for Walker was clearly depicted by his demeanor and the few decipherable sentences he uttered.

“I been in her lil earpiece cuz!” he said. “Like what’s happening, I ain’t even finna play with you like that. You feel me ? Don’t play baby, come here.”

Summer Walker’s love life has often been in the public eye, with her relationships making headlines just as much as her music. One of her most notable relationships was with producer London on da Track, with whom she shares a daughter. Their on-and-off romance, often marked by public drama and breakups, heavily influenced her 2021 album Still Over It.

Walker has been open about the emotional toll the relationship took on her, addressing themes of betrayal and heartbreak in her music. After splitting from London, she briefly dated rapper LVRD Pharoh, with whom she publicly displayed affection, even getting matching face tattoos.

However, that relationship also ended, and Walker has since expressed a desire to focus on herself and her children. Despite her tumultuous love life, Summer’s raw honesty in her music has earned her a loyal fanbase that connects with her vulnerability. Could Scrappy be the missing link to Walker’s love life? I guess we’ll have to see if the shots he put up end up landing on target to find out.

Sept. 11 Thoughts: Can A Nation Divided Unify For More Than A Day?

September 11, 2024, marked 23 years since the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. On that fateful day, and in the weeks and months that followed, Americans displayed extraordinary bravery, compassion, and resilience, which helped the nation recover and rebuild.

Annually, there is an event at ground zero that honors those that died on that day. The 9/11 Memorial & Museum, the event host, is dedicated to honoring those who lost their lives, as well as the brave first responders, recovery workers, and volunteers who risked everything to help others. This mission remains deeply important to me, especially as a new generation grows up with no direct memory of 9/11. Yet, we must ask ourselves: what will unite America now? When we examine the layers of our history and current circumstances, it’s a difficult question to answer. Sometimes, I wonder if unity is even possible. But yesterday, I saw President Joe Biden, VP Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, JD Vance and other dignitaries standing side by side to honor those lost in that terrorist attack.

What if we could show the same empathy for those who have been marginalized, murdered, or otherwise oppressed throughout our nation’s history? The truth is, many of these “terrorists” have been domestic — individuals born in this country, perpetuating violence and division. And that is not coded language to say that the KKK, their offshoots and far more organized groups have wreaked havoc for centuries. To me, that’s at the core of the issue. We haven’t been honest enough about our past. For true healing to begin, there must be a reckoning with the truth.

I know this may seem like a pipe dream, but staying hopeful is necessary to keep pushing forward and fighting for what’s right. Most people in this country want simple things: a good meal, a fair chance at success, and a life filled with some measure of happiness. If the good times outweigh the bad, many are content with that.

Yet, some of us demand more—and that’s where the internal conflict arises. This is a much deeper and more complex conversation. But for a moment, it was refreshing to see our political leaders united in harmony.

Cam’ron Thinks Shannon Sharpe Was Trying To Go Viral With “Accidental” NSFW Instagram Live

Cam’ron claims Shannon Sharpe’s Instagram Live sex session was less of an accident and more of an attention-grabbing “Ponzi Scam.

In a fiery rant on his sports talk show It Is What It Is, the Dipset rapper dropped a bombshell, accusing Shannon Sharpe of intentionally leaking his Instagram Live sex session to stir up controversy. According to Cam, the viral moment wasn’t an accident but a calculated move by the former NFL star to boost his own clout. As Cam’ron broke down the basis of his claim, he started off dismissing Sharpe’s claims of accidentally initiating the livestream.”

“That n###a capping, that s### was on purpose. You can’t go live without pushing like four or five buttons,” Cam’ron said, accusing Sharpe of orchestrating the incident. “You got to hit four things to go live.

While some might chalk up the mishap to an honest mistake, Cam’ron wasn’t buying it and pressed the issue that Sharpe had a hidden, social media-driven agenda.

“To me, he didn’t go viral in a little minute and he’s like, ‘Yo, let me go viral.’” he pointed out.

Cam also suggested Sharpe’s vocals sounded unusually clear, as if he was using a mic, adding fuel to the theory that the livestream was staged.

“The vocals is too clear,” he questioned. “How you hear it? That clear? Sound like he had a mic.

Cam’ron also took issue with Sharpe’s apology, noting how it was paired with bragging.

“You apologize to ESPN, but then you say, ‘Chad, I told you I’d get it in man!’” he recounted, suggesting Sharpe was more focused on flexing than on showing remorse.

Cam’ron even hinted at a larger scheme behind the spectacle, noting how Sharpe’s merchandise quickly sold out after the scandal.

“You talking about, ‘Oh, y’all crashed the site, all my merch sold out,’” he mocked. “I think it’s a Ponzi scam… but if it worked for you, Unc, it worked for you.

The rapper closed his rant by questioning Sharpe’s need to address rumors about his sexuality, referencing comedian Katt Williams’ joke during the livestream.

“I don’t think you need to make an announcement… I wore pink a lot of my career, and people would be like, ‘Hey, Cam is gay.’ And I’d be like, ‘Bring your mother around and see what happens.’

This isn’t the first time public figures have “accidentally” exposed themselves online. Athletes and rappers alike have faced viral moments, whether intentional or not. In 2021, NBA star PJ Washington went live from a strip club, sparking controversy, while rapper Safaree’s leaked videos fueled rumors of a publicity stunt. Whether these incidents are genuine slip-ups or calculated moves for attention remains a hot topic. For now, Cam’ron seems convinced that Sharpe’s viral moment falls firmly in the latter category.

Nicki Minaj Ripped By Stephen A. Smith Over JAY-Z Super Bowl Subs

Stephen A. Smith unleashed on Nicki Minaj for her heated rant after Kendrick Lamar was announced as the headliner for the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show. Minaj believed Lil Wayne should have been selected to perform in New Orleans and subbed Hov in a string of tweets.

Smith addressed the criticism on his podcast, calling out Nicki Minaj and defending JAY-Z.

“I respect you, I respect your work, I respect what you accomplished [but] who else [are] you going to get in a beef with?” he asked before listing artists she’s had issues with in the past. “Every time we turn around it’s something, Nicki. You disagree with the decision, you disagree with the decision, [but] you got to talk to a brother like that?”

The veteran broadcaster then gave the Roc Nation boss his flowers, pointing out his role in getting Hip-Hop acts to perform at the Super Bowl.

“And why are we talking about JAY-Z like he some damn sellout or something?” Smith questioned. “Need I remind y’all all the Hip-Hop artists, all the R&B people that have been performing at Super Bowl Halftime over the last few years since he’s been involved in 2019?”

Smith then mentioned acts that performed in the coveted show before Hov’s involvement, including The Who and Coldplay.

“Do you know how hard it is for a Black man to pull off what JAY-Z pulled off? How unappreciative can you be?” Smith yelled. “It ain’t about you as an individual it’s about us. All of us. As Black people. And that brother right there, JAY-Z, has been front and center in pushing the envelope. You gon’ call him a sellout? You gone use the n-word to describe him?… He don’t deserve that.”

Nicki Minaj Calls Out JAY-Z

While Nicki Minaj didn’t name JAY-Z in her posts, the implication was clear.

“Denying a young black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego,” Nicki Minaj wrote. “Your hatred for BIRDMAN, Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?!?!!! LIL WAYNE!!!!!!!!!! THE GOAT?!!!!!!!!!!! Nola what’s good?!!!!!! Eminem stood firm on having 50Cent come out. A white man. S### sad. House N###ER TINGZ. but it’s GOOD FI DEM!!!!!!! No loyalty ? Since Chance The Rapper founded SocialWorks in 2016, the organization has created an immense footprint in the community through its engagement in the enrichment of at risk youth. The charity has helped thousands of youths over the years by focusing on key areas of need for the youth, including education, mental health, homelessness, and performing in literary arts.

As a result, SocialWorks has developed a number of civic engagement initiatives, focused on providing accessibility and the opportunity to foster leadership and positivity while building a sense of community among the youth. Of the initiatives active through this point include OpenMike, New Chance: Arts & Literary Fund and Kids of Kingdom, among others. earlier this year in April, social works, took over the historic Rem Theater in Chicago for a one night only benefit concert supporting Chicago’s youth—which Chance headlined himself.

The announcement of the partnership between SocialWorks and Raising Canes follows the release of Chance’s transparent new single “3333.” In addition to discussing his point-of-view of fans and content creators making video saying he fell off, the Acid Rap artist breaks down his recent appearance at the Minnesota State Fair—where his ticket sales generated well below the 14,000-person capacity at the venue. No matter the case, Chance chose to rally on with the performance, which he documented in the official video for the touching single.

Flavor Flav Fulfils Olympics Promise To Jordan Chiles At MTV VMAs

Flavor Flav is making good on his promise to Jordan Chiles, surprising her with her very own custom diamond-encrusted bronze clock after she was stripped of a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Wednesday night (September 11), the Public Enemy founding member gifted Chiles the stopwatch while they presented the award for best collaboration at the 2024 MTV VMAs.

“I just want to turn this into a little Olympic moment for a second if y’all don’t mind,” Flavor Flav began. “Ay yo Jordan, I know they tried to take your medal away from you, but you know what? I got you something that they can’t take away from you.”

Flavor Flav then whipped out the oversized bronze clock and placed it around Jordan Chiles’ neck. “Wow, I don’t even know what to say here,” she said. “Thank you so much.”

Flav had another surprise in store, adding, “As y’all know I am an official sponsor for the United States Olympic Water Polo Team, so that’s why I wanted to turn this into an Olympic moment. And guess what else? I got your prize money too. I just wanted to surprise you with that.”

Flavor Flav Shows Off Jordan Chiles’ Custom Bronze Clock

Last month, Flav vowed to gift Chiles a clock after the bronze medal she won for her floor exercise was stripped over a score dispute.

“USA gonna Fight the Powers that be for our girl Jordan Chiles,” Flavor Flav tweeted. “But in the meantime between time, I gots ya this one of a kind Bronze clock. Thankx to @ROCK’N STONES for creating this gem so quickly!!!”

Flavor Flav came to the aid of the U.S. Water Polo Women’s team after learning of their financial struggles. He has committed to sponsoring them and the Men’s National Team for the next five years.

He hopes that won’t be his only role in the 2028 Olympics, though. Flav recently submitted his application to be the Olympic torchbearer for the Los Angeles Games.

Snoop Dogg Has Hot Box Session With Kai Cenat Backstage At VMAs

Kai Cenat can tick hotboxing with Snoop Dogg off his bucket list after linking the West Coast rap legend backstage at the MTV VMAs.

On Wednesday (September 11), the Twitch streaming sensation hopped on Instagram Live with Unc while the famed cannabis connoisseur was rolling his weed.

“How fast can you roll up a blunt,” Kai Cenat Asked Snoop Dogg. “I can roll a blunt up before this song is over,” he replied. Cenat then spotted a huge jar of Death Row weed, showing off to the camera.

Snoop Dogg first teased Death Row Cannabis in December 2022 before launching the following year with a line inspired by Tupac Shakur.

Last October, Snoop Dogg called into Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream to chop it up. “One day we got to have a hot box session,” Cenat insisted. “When we link up, we got to.”

Judging from the videos backstage at the VMAs, it appears he finally got his wish.

Elsewhere during the Live, Snoop Dogg told the ladies to holla at his nephew. “Can’t you see we look alike,” he said. Cenat then teased something with Snoop, adding, “A lot of things coming soon too.”

Snoop Dogg has made a remarkable transition from gangsta rapper to global icon. He’s the beloved rapper turned entrepreneur who is besties with Martha Stewart and captured worldwide attention with his unique commentary at the 2024 Olympics.

“You think about all the things that I went through and where I’m at,” Snoop Dogg said in a new People Magazine cover story. “It’s a lesson: to let the world see growth, how somebody can go from being hated, banned from countries, thrown in jail [for] weed, to now America’s most lovable person. But it’s the same person.”

Tyla & Halle Bailey Address Viral Onstage Moment At MTV VMAs

Tyla scored a major win at the MTV VMAs on Wednesday night (September 11) but found herself going viral for all the wrong reasons after social media latched on to an onstage interaction with Halle Bailey.

The “Water” hitmaker scooped her first MTV Video Music Award, the first for a female African artist and a South African artist overall. However, before delivering her acceptance speech, she asked for help to hold the trophy, turning to award presenters Hally Bailey and Lil Nas X for assistance.

“You guys know me and holding awards,” she told the audience. “I’m not strong enough.”

While Bailey smiled at Tyla, standing in place, Lil Nas stepped forward to take the award from her.

Social media users found the clip hilarious and couldn’t get over Halle Bailey’s refusal to hold the Moonman statuette.

“I love that Halle kept her feet planted like you better figure it out,” one person wrote. “Plus, they’re the same size, if it’s heavy for you…”

Another added, “tyla can’t hold her own award??? halle looked at her like girl what.”

Nonetheless, Tyla wasn’t here for the uproar and quickly shut down the notion of any drama between her and Halle Bailey.

“Y’all make everything weird,” she tweeted after the ceremony. “I was not asking my girl Halle… We just girls , S### I WON A VMAAAA.”

Bailey replied, “exactly,” alongside a pair of red heart emojis. “Love u babes congrats.”

Tyla used her acceptance speech to teach fans about the rich diversity of African music.

“The global impact that ‘Water’ has had on the world just proves that African music can be pop music too,” she explained. “This is so special but bittersweet because I know there is a tendency to group all African artists under Afrobeats. Even though Afrobeats has run things and has opened so many doors for us, African music is so diverse. It is more than just Afrobeats.”

She continued, “I come from South Africa. I represent amapiano. I represent my culture, and I just want to shout out [to] all the Afrobeats artists in this category with me.”

She named Tems, Ayra Starr, Lojay, Rema, Wizkid, and Burna Boy before adding, “Africa to the world.”

Katt Williams, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg React To Shannon Sharpe’s Viral Video

Shannon Sharpe was the talk of social media after accidentally hopping on Instagram Live while having sex.

Sharpe turned the air blue on Wednesday (September 11), as stunned followers tuned in only to hear him getting busy. He later confessed that he was in the act but accidentally went live due to his lack of technical know-how.

Social media users had a field day, sharing clips and teasing the former NFL star and current ESPN personality. However, several other celebs joined the party and got in on the jokes.

Shannon Sharpe revealed that Katt Williams called him after it happened. “The first thing out his mouth, guess what he said Ocho?” Sharpe said to his “NightCap” co-host. “You ain’t gay today.”

Rick Ross joked that Sharpe was trying to film a private tape but went live instead.

Ay Yo. Shannon Sharp,” Rozay began. “We forgive you cuz we know you old n##### don’t know how to work that technology. You was vibing with your little shone last night. You were trying to film it and when you tried to sit that muthafucka down on that little dresser, that muthafucka went live.”

Gillie Da Kid also joined the troll patrol, mocking Sharpe with an impression of his bedroom sounds.

Snoop Dogg reacted to Sharpe discussing the mishap on “Nightcap.”  He stitched a video of the explanation while pulling faces, teasing Sharpe and laughing.

“What’s understood don’t need to be explained,” he captioned the video. “U beat it up.”

Shannon Sharpe Explains “Embarrassing” Instagram Live

Shannon Sharpe admitted that he was having sex and was stunned to learn he was livestreaming.

“Obviously I am embarrassed, he said during an emergency “NightCap” episode. “Someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details – the audio – heard for the entire world to hear. I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons.”

He added, “My phone wasn’t hacked. It wasn’t a prank. It was me being a healthy, active male. Ya’ll thought I was bulljiving, Unc get it in.”

GloRilla Suffers Awkward Wardrobe Malfunction Onstage At VMAs

GloRilla risked major embarrassment during an energetic performance at the MTV VMAs on Wednesday night (September 11).

The Memphis native rocked the stage opening with “Yeah Glo,” before whipping off her jacket and smoothly transitioning into a lively rendition of her summer anthem, “TGIF.”

However, things almost went dramatically wrong about two and a half minutes into her performance as Glorilla’s bra top nearly flew off. Nonetheless, Glo barely skipped a beat, holding onto her top with one arm while continuing to wow the crowd.

Fortunately, one of the backup dancers spotted the wardrobe malfunction as GloRilla took the stage and quickly sprang into action. Glo continued to perform as her dancer fastened her top, allowing her to finish the set.

Elsewhere during the VMA’s, GloRilla’s “Wanna Be” collaborator and touring partner Megan Thee Stallion performed a melody of hits from her self-titled album, released earlier this year.

The H-Town Hottie also hosted the awards show, wearing a dazzling array of outfits throughout the night. Although she escaped a wardrobe malfunction, unlike GloRilla, Megan ran into trouble with her imitation of Britney Spears’ iconic “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance outfit.

Her bold choice to use a real snake in her homage quickly went wrong. “Okay …Okay! Stop the music,” she instructed. “I’m just playing. I don’t know this snake, this snake don’t know me.”

As handlers began extracting the snake from Megan’s body, she let out a scream. “Oh My GAHHHHHHHHHH!” she squealed. “I tried to hold it down for Britney,” she added.

Meanwhile, social media users praised GloRilla for overcoming the wardrobe malfunction like a pro. Check out some reactions below.

LL COOL J Honors Def Jam With Iconic Hit Medley At MTV VMAs—& Public Enemy

LL COOL J hit the MTV VMAs stage to lead a tribute to the legendary Def Jam record label, celebrating its 40th anniversary.

On Wednesday night (September 11), the rap icon kicked off the homage with “Headsprung,” performing in front of a crowd wearing his signature red Kangol hats. Several people in the audience waved images of a goat, as he got into his single “The G.O.A.T.,” which popularized the “greatest of all time” phrase.

Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Flavor Flav took the reins to perform “Bring the Noise,” before LL took it back with “Mama Said Knock You Out,” “Rock the Bells,” “Around the Way Girl” and “Goin’ Back to Cali.”

He also delivered some songs from his new album The FORCE, “Passion” and “Proclivities” before rounding out with “Doin’ It.”

Busta Rhymes introduced LL COOL J, calling him a “true trailblazer… also my hero.” He added, “He’s not only a hip-hop innovator, he’s not only a godfather, big homie and a mentor. He was the first artist to release an album on Def Jam and a force to be reckoned with.”

Earlier on Wednesday, LL COOL J dropped off the nostalgic video for his Eminem collab, “Murdergram Deux” video. The duo recreates several album covers from Hip-Hop’s golden era, including LL’s 1987 album Bigger and Deffer.

Jelly Roll made a virtual appearance from tour to perform “Somebody Save Me,” with Eminem.

Shannon Sharpe Clears The Air Over Viral Instagram Live: “I’m Embarrassed”

Shannon Sharpe scheduled an emergency episode of “Nightcap” to address the viral Instagram Live stream of his very intimate encounter with a lady friend.

On Wednesday (September 11), the former NFL star and current ESPN personality shocked fans who tuned into his IG Live only to hear him seemingly engaged in sexual activity. Shannon Sharpe admitted that his account wasn’t hacked, and he was having sex but was unaware he was live.

“Obviously I am embarrassed, he began. “Someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details – the audio – heard for the entire world to hear. I’m embarrassed for a number of reasons.”

He continued, stating that he strives to be “professional at all times,” even in private. “I’m very disappointed in myself, not for the act,” he said, “but for the audio to be heard I’m disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down.”

Shannon Sharpe Admits Instagram Account Was Not Hacked

Despite a post on his Instagram Stories claiming he was hacked, Sharpe confessed that was untrue. He also denied staging the stream, insisting it was an accident.

“I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity,” Sharpe said. “I did not know IG live. I’ve never turned IG live on so I don’t know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off.”

Sharpe revealed his phone was blowing up, with people calling him on Facetime before the Live was taken down. He eventually spoke to his marketing partner who made him aware of the NSFW situation while another person ended the livestream. Sharpe was “shocked” to learn what happened, admitting “my heart sank.”

He concluded, “My phone wasn’t hacked. It wasn’t a prank. It was me being a healthy, active male. Ya’ll thought I was bulljiving, Unc get it in.”

Elon Musk Goes Viral After Weird, Sexist Reaction To Taylor Swift Endorsing Kamala Harris

Elon Musk’s remark to Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris sparked widespread reactions on social media.

The pop icon, facing criticism for her previous political reticence, announced her support for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, ahead of the November presidential election.

Following the debate between Harris and Donald Trump, Swift endorsed Harris and Walz in a detailed Instagram post.

The “Childless Cat Lady,” was a nod to insulting comments made by Trump’s vice-presidential candidate, JD Vance.

Elon Musk reacted on X with a post that quickly gained traction: “Fine Taylor you win I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

The tech mogul, an outspoken Trump enthusiast and father of 12 with three different women, later responded with a laughing emoji to a user’s comment: “Oh my God, this has really become an Elon vs Taylor Swift election now.”

Swift’s declaration drew significant support from a slew of celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Oprah Winfrey, Demi Lovato, and Chrissy Teigen, all of whom liked her post on Instagram.

Walz, Harris’ vice presidential choice, expressed his gratitude for Swift’s endorsement during an MSNBC interview.

“I am incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift and I say that as a fellow cat owner,” Walz said. “That was eloquent and that was clear and that’s the type of courage we need in America to stand up.”

Taylor Swift stepped into the political spotlight days after being criticized for embracing Brittany Mahomes, perceived as a Trump supporter, at the US Open.

Mahomes is the wife of Patrick Mahomes, teammate to Swift’s boyfriend and football player, Travis Kelce.

Kendrick Lamar Drops New Heat—Is He Dissing Drake Again?

Kendrick Lamar decided to drop a new single in the middle of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday night (September 11). The track arrived via Instagram, just like the Drake diss “6:16 in L.A.” did in May, and is loosely titled “Watch the Party Die.” Over a sparse yet soulful beat, Kendrick does what he does best—raps.

Serving as the first song since his Drake killshot, “Not Like Us,” it seems Kendrick is in album mode and still has some things to get off his chest. There are several lines that could be interpreted as a Drake sub.

“If you parade in gluttony without giving truth to the youth, the graveyard is company/Just tell us what casket to choose,” he raps. “They party more than b######, tell me what are you working for?/They glorify scamming, you get chipped over this credit card.”

He continues, “I feel for the women that deal with the clown and nerd s###/Can’t blame them, today they ain’t really got much to work with/How many b###### harder than a lot of you n#####?/Would trade all of y’all for Nip, I can’t be proud of you n#####.”

Elsewhere, Kendrick bemoans American culture as he yearns for a better future.

“The flashy n#### with nasty decisions using money as a backbone/I want his head cracked before he’s back home/The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary/Let me know when they turn up as a casualty/I want agony
assault and battery/I see a new earth filled with beautiful people making humanity work.”

“Not Like Us” landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Kendrick Lamar’s second Drake diss to top the chart following Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

The track followed “Meet the Grahams,” his response to Drake’s “Family Matters.” K. Dot called Drake a predator on “Meet the Grahams,” equating the Canadian’s alleged misdeeds to those of embattled movie executive Harvey Weinstein then doubled down on “Not Like Us.”

“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young,” he begins. “You better not ever go to cell block one/To any b#### that talk to him and they in love/Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him/They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs/And Party at the party playing with his nose now/And Baka got a weird case, why is he around?/Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles.

“Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, Dot, f### ’em up/Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, I’ma do my stuff/Why you trolling like a b####? Ain’t you tired?/Tryna strike a chord and it’s probably A minor.”

“Not Like Us” will likely be one of a number of songs Kendrick will perform during the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in February. For now, check out his latest above.

Fat Joe Defends JAY-Z Amid Super Bowl Controversy: “Be Careful What You Wish For!”

Fat Joe has come to the defense of JAY-Z, following backlash from fans after the announcement that Kendrick Lamar, not Lil Wayne, will headline the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in New Orleans.

Rap figures such as Nicki Minaj, Juvenile, Birdman and more have spoken out in support of Lil Wayne following the announcement despite Weezy being a hometown hero and favorite for the event. Additionally, many fans who were hoping to see the Carter V rapper on one of the world’s largest stages, have also added to the immense discourse on the situation. On Tuesday (September 10), Fat Joe took to Instagram Live to set the record straight, praising JAY-Z’s involvement in bringing Hip-Hop to the NFL.

“Years ago, the beef with the NFL was that Black people wasn’t represented and they was doing us wrong, even though we was the talent,” Fat Joe said. “But then they put JAY-Z and Roc Nation to do the shows, and they brought out Dr. Dre, Eminem, everybody,” he said. “Number one ratings, Rihanna. This, they killing it.”

In light of the criticism JAY-Z is facing for not choosing Lil Wayne to perform, Joe argued that the decision making process is far more complex than fans realize.

“So yeah, JAY-Z’s a big voice, but he got to go through the NFL ranks, the Roger Goodells’, everything like that so they could come out with who’s performing at halftime,” he explained. “It ain’t just one man’s decision that I know of.”

Fat Joe took his defense even further, warning that without JAY-Z’s influence, Hip-Hop might still be locked out of the NFL entirely.

“How about if he wasn’t doing these shows,” he questioned rhetorically. “It’d be no Hip-Hop. If he wasn’t doing the Halftime, the Roc Nation—there’d be no Hip-Hop because there never was Hip-Hop,” Joe said passionately.

He drove the point home by concluding with a blunt example of what could be the reality for the Super Bow without JAY-Z.

“You’d be listening to ‘Cotton Eye Joe’ at halftime.”

Since JAY-Z and Roc Nation started booking the Halftime Show, viewership has spiked dramatically. The 2022 Halftime Show featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige drew an audience of 103.4 million viewers—up from the 96.7 million viewers who tuned in the previous year. Similarly, Rihanna’s 2023 performance amassed 118.7 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched Super Bowl Halftime shows of all time.

Fat Joe’s message is clear in supporting the notion that while some fans may be disappointed, JAY-Z’s involvement has been a game-changer for Hip-Hop’s visibility on one of the world’s largest stages. As he put it best, “Be careful what you wish for.”

T.I. & Tiny Seek Court-Ordered Settlement After Sabrina Peterson Refuses To Pay

T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris asked a judge to dismiss the remaining claims in Sabrina Peterson’s defamation lawsuit for disobeying a court order. According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, the couple claimed Peterson refused to pay roughly $96,000 to cover their legal bills.

“She has willfully violated a court order,” the couple’s lawyer Andrew Brettler wrote. “And, while wasting judicial resources, she forced [T.I. and Tiny] to incur significant legal fees defending a litany of claims, most have which have already been thrown out.”

A judge ordered Peterson to pay $96,703 after dismissing several claims in her lawsuit against T.I. and Tiny in October 2023. The couple said Peterson had until January 15 to pay them, but she openly bragged about refusing to do so on social media.

T.I. and Tiny argued their legal battle couldn’t continue until Peterson paid them. They said Peterson abused the legal system with eyes on an out-of-court settlement.

“[Peterson] and her attorneys took advantage of the legal system by filing a ‘kitchen sink’ complaint, hoping that the nature of their allegations would attract enough media attention, which would then, in turn, put pressure on [T.I. and Tiny] to settle,” Brettler contended. “[Peterson] and her lawyers never had any intention of diligently prosecuting this case.”

TI. and his wife were accused of damaging Peterson’s reputation by denying her allegations of threats and sexual abuse. Peterson sued the couple in 2021.

An appeals court dismissed several claims, including trade libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress and intentional and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage, in June 2023. The court allowed Peterson to continue pursuing defamation and false light invasion of privacy claims against T.I. and Tiny.

T.I. and Tiny asserted they never defamed Peterson. The couple awaits a judge’s ruling on their latest bid for dismissal.

Diddy Says Dawn Richard Is Opportunist Desperately Seeking Payday

Diddy’s lawyer Erica Wolff responded to Dawn Richard’s lawsuit in a statement on Wednesday (September 11). Wolff claimed Richard’s allegations were false and suggested the singer had ulterior motives for suing Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs.

“Mr. Combs is shocked and disappointed by this lawsuit,” Wolff said. “In an attempt to rewrite history, Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a payday — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour. If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on The Love Album last year. It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”

Richard accused Diddy of sexual abuse, sex trafficking, fraud and more in her lawsuit. The singer said Diddy subjected her to years of “inhumane working conditions.” She also recalled witnessing him abuse his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who sued the mogul in November 2023.

Diddy started working with Richard when she auditioned for the reality show Making the Band. The girl group Danity Kane was formed on the show and signed to his label.

Richard continued collaborating with Diddy after Danity Kane disbanded. She was a member of the Diddy-led trio Dirty Money.

The former Bad Boy Records artist joined a sizable list of people who’ve sued for sexual assault and accused him of sex trafficking over the past year. Ventura was the first woman to file a lawsuit against Diddy. He quickly settled with her out of court.

Diddy hasn’t reached settlements with the rest of his accusers, denying their various allegations. His legal troubles go beyond the civil cases as he’s under federal investigation for sex trafficking.

The comments section of the post promptly erupted with messages of support from Future’s close associates such as his FREEBAND GANG signee Doe Boy, among others.

“It’s crazy u still getting better & better after all this time, built different [goat emoji],” Doe Boy wrote in a comment. Chief Keef’s artist Lil Gnar also chimed in, adding, “Streets ready 4 it.”

Throughout the past month, Future has continued to give fans a glimpse into the world of MIXTAPE PLUTO with the release of new teasers, including a snippet for the song “TOO FAST.” Future also previously shared clips for various tracks purportedly appearing on the mixtape, including a snippet of his collaboration with Travis Scott, which ignited a frenzy across social media over the past few weeks.

Earlier this week, Future wrapped up a sold-out arena run with Metro Boomin, the critically acclaimed WE TRUST YOU TOUR. The run saw the two superstars traverse across North America – including historic nights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, and Los Angeles’ brand-new Intuit Dome. Billboard called the show “a testament to how deep Future’s catalog and bag of hits really is” while GQ celebrated the fact that “two great albums and a rejuvenated live show confirm Future’s powers are as strong as they’ve ever been.”

Appropriately titled, the tour was in support of Future and Metro Boomin’s explosive, chart-topping collaborative albums released earlier this year, WE DON’T TRUST YOU and its follow-up, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU. The albums highlight the duo’s magnetic chemistry–which Rolling Stone calls “seamless”–and went on to capture the entire music industry’s attention, piquing competitive interests in ways not seen in years. The albums officially landed Future his ninths and tenth number 1 albums on the Billboard 200, while the single “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar spent a blistering 3 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This run became, as Billboard stated, “the biggest story in rap.”
