According to Complex, the MMG signee was reportedly apprehended after using nine fake 50 dollar bills. Officials say that Trel’s knockoff money was very easy to identify due to matching serial numbers on each bill. Police charged the rapper with possession of counterfeit currency.
Fat Trel eventually told his side of the story on Twitter, stating that he received the fake cash from some promoters.

Bankroll Fresh’s Uncle and Manager Say That Street Execs Management is Wrongly Taking Advantage of Bankroll’s Legacy
(AllHipHop News) Its been roughly three weeks since rising Atlanta rap star Bankroll Fresh was brutally murdered inside an Atlanta studio, leaving 50 shell casing and a horrific murder scene.
While police are currently trying to lock down the murder suspect who ended Bankroll’s promising career, AllHipHop spoke with Bankroll Fresh’s uncle and marketing coordinator, Marvin Shadi Powers and his manager from Street Money Worldwide, Nature, about life after Bankroll Fresh.
In the aftermath of Bankroll Fresh’s murder, the Street Money imprint spoke about the outpouring of support from a host of artists on social media and the overwhelming emotional support at SXSW tribute shows.
They also took the time to speak strongly about how the Street Execs. management and marketing company is incorrectly portraying their relationship with Bankroll Fresh.
According to Powers, Bankroll’s Uncle and marketing coordinator, “There’s a lot of bootlegging going on with the shirts and hats so we started an official store where people can purchase official Street Money Worldwide clothing and Bankroll Fresh clothing. A portion of the proceeds will go to his family and helping support his legacy.”
Powers also expressed frustration with the fact that he feels like the Street Execs are “taking advantage of Bankroll Fresh’s legacy”
“A lot of people are still reaching out to Street Execs for information and booking when Street Execs. has nothing to do with Bankroll Fresh’s legacy, music or anything. The only thing that they ever had to do with him in the first place was booking. They never managed him, they never produced him – only thing they had was booking. They had no legal paperwork or ties to Bankroll Fresh, he was his own man. I want to make that clear. Street Execs has nothing to do with Bankroll Fresh,” Powers said.
“It started off when he died, they wanted to say he signed to 2 Chainz, which was wrong. They wanted to say he was signed to Street Execs – wrong. He didn’t have any paperwork with them. The only thing they had was booking. The movement of Bankroll Fresh started way before anything with those guys,” he added.
“They’re definitely trying to take his shine,” Nature said. “Now that he’s gone they’re still trying to hold on, they have no legal position or legal standing to be claiming Bankroll Fresh. All the information being put out is 100% false. He was never legally signed with them, it just was a mutual respect. They have nothing to do with us moving forward. They were helping one of our artists, but that’s it.”
Part of the grievance with the Street Execs is that Bankroll Fresh’s murder occurred in the Street Execs operated studio that ostensibly carried little security.
“This thing happened at their facilities, we are not happy about that. There was no security and this thing happened at their facilities man. They haven’t tried to help for the funeral or anything. That was their studio that he died in,” Powers lamented. “There’s famous artists going in there with expensive chains and jewelry, thousands of dollars and they had no security?”
“Fresh was the CEO of Street Money Worldwide, Street Execs doesn’t even have a label, they are a management company. They try to portray they are a label, but they are a marketing company. They are trying to get a deal, but they don’t have a label deal,” Nature said.
Street Execs is known for their outside the box marketing ideas, specifically their Billboards across Atlanta advertising rapper’s new music.
From So So Def to Bankroll Fresh to 2 Chainz, the Street Execs. have secured billboards across Atlanta to reach consumers.
Currently Bankroll Fresh is listed as one of Street Exec’s artists on their Twitter page (see below).
Although AllHipHop was unable to reach Street Execs for comment by the time of print, 2 Chainz has been publicly supportive since Bankroll’s passing.
“Man I’m a fan of Bru and always will be , I’m in shock at the moment !! Senseless deaths we just got to stop it , I’m speaking up now,” 2 Chainz said after Bankroll’s passing.

According to Fox Sports, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross let the world know via his Twitter page and podcast that the Long Beach bred rapper is now part of the prestigious WWE club.
According to Ross, since Snoop has been a frequenter of Monday Night Raw the honor will be bestowed upon him in an official WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony that will take place on April 2nd.
In addition to hosting an episode of Raw in 2009, Snoop has been part of the antics for two WrestleManias (XXIV and XXVII).
Snoop also holds a special place in the hearts of Ric Flair fans, as Snoop was on hand for the emotional farewell match against Shawn Michaels in 2008.
As part of the match, Snoop drove to the ring in a tricked-out Mercedes golf cart and served as the emcee for a “BunnyMania” lumberjack bout.
Not only is Snoop a guest, but he is actually biologically part of the WWE Family as Snoop Dogg is the cousin of WWE Diva Sasha Banks.
Check your local listings as the broadcast goes live at 8 p.m. EST on the WWE Network.
Uh oh! A woman is claiming that Young Thug stole her artwork for his ‘Slime Season 3’ album cover. A woman that goes by the name N. Award posted a photo of Young Thug on her Instagram account that caught the attention of Thug and his team. The artwork later became the cover for his ‘Slime Season 3’ project. The artwork was taken without the artist’s knowledge and no attempt was made for her to be paid. Thugger’s art collaborator, Fano, told Reddit that he had nothing to do with choosing the art for this album, and all he did was change some colors. He claims no one in the camp knew who created the original until a few days ago. Thugger’s camp claims to have tried to find the original artist before release to no avail. Fano and Thugger’s team are saying the artist is actually being compensated now. GOOD. Oh yeah, it didn’t help that Young Thug’s fiancee liked the original artist’s post of the picture.
(AllHipHop News) This past weekend Rappers, DJs and members of the Black Lives Matter front stormed Toronto Police headquarters after hearing the verdict in the shooting of 45 year-old Andrew Loku last July.
The protest reportedly closed off College Street as the Black Lives Matter movement showed “solidarity against oppression,” according to CBC News.
DJs and rappers performed from the back of flatbed trucks and on top of cars to a crowd of thousands of people.
The protest turned into a street party by night and comes after the officer that fatally shot Andrew Loku is not to be charged in the case.
Protestors are camping outside the headquarters in rainy freezing cold conditions and have named the protest area #BLMTOtentcity (Black Lives Matter Toronto Tent City).
In support of the protest, some people in Toronto have been giving much-needed items to the protesters including hand, foot and body warmers, gloves, blankets, portable phone chargers, gas for generators, sweaters, coats, shoes and boots.
The Black Lives Matter group is calling for the officer who shot and killed Loku to be identified and charged, as the freed officer’s identity is still being kept a secret.
“We know that we’re disproportionately targeted. You can hear it from our stories, from our lived experiences,” Pascale Diverlus of Toronto’s Black Lives Matter chapter told CBC.
While TheWeeknd and Tory Lanez have yet to comment on the situation, Drake seemingly showed his support in several re-Tweets of Big Sean on the 23rd when the protests were just getting started.
K. Michelle and Uncle Murda have been going at it for a while over Uncle Murda saying that her v##### doesn’t smell too great. Maino and Uncle Murda stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss their ‘Yellow Tape King Kong And Godzilla’ mixtape. Angela Yee wasted no time asking Murda about his previous comments about K. Michelle. Murda went in again saying,
“She got that stink coochie, I call it the K. Michelle sometimes I just speak what’s on my mind. I know people who did certain things with her. My man said it was not right.”
Murda said he wouldn’t say any names, but he said one of the people is a person he’s putting out a mixtape with (Maino).
K. Michelle clapped back saying,
“Owwwww #1 Let’s go. Keep promoting a mixtape off some p*ssy you ain’t never got. What you mad at me for? Dab to the paper. All the attention you seek in the world won’t help you matter.”
Dang what’s Murda’s beef with K? He said he’d still hit it though!
It looks like Jim Jones and Cam’ron still haven’t made up! Jim Jones was reflecting on the fact that Dipset’s ‘Diplomatic Immunity’ dropped 13 years ago. While he was reminiscing, he asked his fans to tell Cam to unblock him. Either Jim Jones is ready to put grudges to the side or he’s just being petty and poking fun at Killa Cam! Cam’ron isn’t quite ready to let their differences go either as he stated that he was blocking anyone who asked him to unblock Jim! Jim Jones was even mad at Cam a few months ago for cosigning Mendeecees as he believes Mendeecees is a snitch. Can’t we all just get along lol.
Another day, another rapper and his baby mama drama. According to @Stacy8629, her and Future have a baby on the way. Stacy went as far as to taunt one of Future’s baby mama’s, Brittni, on social media. She announced the pregnancy and claims she’s getting back at Brittni since she claims Brittni was fake with Ciara. Allegedly Brittni was so cordial and friendly to Ciara when Ci and Future were together, but as soon as they broke up, Brittni was right back to messing with Future publicly, that is until she realized that Future was still messing with everyone. The woman behind the @Stacy8629 page says that her and Brittni were once close, and that karma is a b*tch. What is wrong with these sister wives?!

(AllHipHop News) Harlem native Sean Combs is teaming with Capital Preparatory Schools for a new charter school in his hometown. The Hip Hop mogul also known as Diddy/Puff Daddy spent five years meeting privately with community leaders and education experts in order to expand the educational opportunities for young men and women in Harlem and build leaders from the community.
The Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School will be overseen by educator and Capital Preparatory Schools founder Dr. Steve Perry. Combs has worked closely with Dr. Perry to build community support and enlist a team of educators, parents, and business leaders to bring the idea of the institution to fruition.
“Creating this school is a dream come true for me. I want to impact the lives of young people in my community, and build future leaders. The first step is offering access to a quality education,” says Combs. “Every young person should have the tools they need to succeed. All our children should be able to pursue their dreams. That is something I can impact with this school.”
Derek Ferguson, Combs’ longtime strategic adviser, will serve as head of the school’s board. The board also includes author and spiritual life coach Dr. Iyanla Vanzant, Mustard Seed Faith Ministry pastor Rev. Georgiette Morgan Thomas, Harlem resident Vince Morgan, Bank of America senior vice president for Community Development Banking Maurice Coleman, and Dr. Perry.
“I’m inspired by Sean Combs’ belief that educating our young people is the key to opening up a world of opportunity for them,” states Dr. Perry. “Sean and I have spent many long hours over the last five years talking about education and how best to meet the needs of the young people of Harlem, and I couldn’t be more pleased to continue this journey through the opening of the school.”
Combs and the school’s board selected Orlando educator Danita Jones to serve as principal of Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School. The school is looking to enlist the most committed teachers from across the country to re-locate to Harlem.
“Every day, we see so many young men and women of Harlem persevere in their quest to become well-educated and engaged citizens. We are thrilled to be part of a growing community that is committed to helping them do so,” adds Chris Watler, Board Chair of the Boys & Girls Club of Harlem. “We appreciate the immense amount of energy put into laying the groundwork for every incredible addition to our neighborhood. Especially those with the sole purpose of preparing Harlem’s kids to succeed.”
Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School will be located at 1 East 104th Street in New York City. The initial school year will begin fall 2016.
The school is currently accepting applications for students in the 6th and 7th grades. Capital Prep Harlem will expand a grade each year until it is fully enrolled at 700 students in grades 6 through 12. Anyone interested in applying as either a student or staff should visit www.capitalprepharlem.org.
(AllHipHop News) Are you ready for more music from Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace? The late Hip Hop legend’s rhymes are set to be part of a joint project with R&B singer Faith Evans. Biggie’s former wife appeared on The Dame Dash Radio Show to discuss the upcoming LP.
“Right now I’m recording this project, a duet album with me and B.I.G. called The King & I. That’s something I’ve been thinking and talking about doing with Ms. Wallace for a long time,” said Evans. “I’m kind of in the finishing stages.”
The posthumous Biggie album Born Again was released in 1999, two years after his death. In 2005, Bad Boy Records dropped Duets: The Final Chapter which consisted of collaborations with Diddy, Eminem, Jay Z, Nas, T.I., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Missy Elliott, and more. Faith expects The King & I to present a fresh version of the icon’s lyrics.
“I had no idea how I was even going to go about it, but it’s been coming along pretty awesome,” Evans added. “If he was alive, I know ultimately we would have done something like this. But the way this stuff is coming together and the way I’m using his vocals, it’s giving this stuff new life. I think people are really going to enjoy it.”
Faith also hinted a hologram of Biggie could be used in future performances of songs from the album. Music videos from the King & I are expected to be released as well.
(AllHipHop News) The Game’s critically acclaimed two-part opus The Documentary 2 and The Documentary 2.5 was full of guest appearances by artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Future, Ice Cube, Drake, Kanye West, Scarface, YG, Ty Dolla $ign, and numerous others. However, the California representative plans for his voice to be the only one present on his next release.
On a post uploaded to his Instagram page, Game states that a project titled 1992 will not include any features. He did not give any more details about the forthcoming collection, but the pic’s caption does include Game telling his followers 1992 is coming soon.
A photo posted by The Game (@losangelesconfidential) on
If Game fulfills his promise of keeping 1992 free of other performers, the “100” rhymer will pull off a feat rarely achieved in modern Hip Hop. Last year J. Cole made news when his 2014 Forest Hills Drive became the first rap album in 25 years to go platinum without any features. Other notable Hip Hop LPs without credited features include Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), LL Cool J’s Bigger and Deffer, and Beastie Boys’ Paul’s Boutique.
The excursion will feature six artists from the Strange Music imprint and each artist will have to prove why they’re worthy of being signed to such a storied label.
So, Ces Cru, Stevie Stone, ¡Mayday!, Rittz, Krizz Kaliko and Tech N9ne himself will hit the highway from March 30 until April 28.
Tech and his formidable roster of independent artists will visit cities like Tulsa, New Orleans, Atlanta, New York City, Cleveland, Chicago and other major markets.
Being able to play live is one of the top qualities Tech N9Ne looks for when he is signing a new artist.
Tech believes the chemistry in the studio and on the road is what has made the record label great.
“It takes a group of people, a lot of people to create an epic masterpiece and that’s what we always do,” Tech N9ne told AllHipHop.com in a statement released today (March 28). “Strange Music is a bright light, man.”
The “Independent Powerhouse Tour 2016” will build upon a successful 2015 for Tech N9ne and Strange Music.
Last year, the rapper dropped Special Effects, which debuted as the #2 Rap album and the #3 Indie album.
Tech followed up four months later with the compilation Strangeulation 2, which debuted as the #1 Rap, R&B/Hip-Hop, and Indie album in the country upon its release in November.
