Quentin Miller Announces He’s “Going Back To The 6” On New Song (AUDIO)

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Quentin Miller is still making headlines. Ever since Meek Mill alleged Q.M. was a ghostwriter for Drake, the WNDG Crshrs member has been tied to Drizzy and the OVO camp. Miller’s latest musical release is going to further the speculation of his connection to Toronto’s biggest rap star, even after it looked as if Quentin was dissing Drake in his music.

On the track “Going Back…,” Miller repeatedly states that he is “going back to the 6” – the nickname Drake proudly uses for his hometown. The “Summer Sixteen” spitter has even named his upcoming studio album Views from the 6.

“Going Back…” also includes Q.M. talking about taking a risk by returning to Toronto and letting his family know he may not make it back. In addition, Miller posted a message on Twitter about the song. He wrote, “‘Going back’ has a deeper perspective than you may think.”

Miller’s cryptic tune comes just days after DJ Vlad dropped a video where Quentin claims he got attacked by someone in Meek’s crew. The Dreamchasers leader has reportedly denied the incident took place.

It should also be noted that Miller recently posted a photo to Instagram of himself with Tory Lanez. The “Say It” performer is also from Toronto, but he has expressed his dislike for people calling the city “The 6.” Lanez and Drake have been accused of sending subliminal shots at each other as well.

Yung Lean Concert Canceled Due To Bomb Threat

(AllHipHop News) Swedish rapper/producer Yung Lean’s concert in Minneapolis had to be canceled due to a security threat. The Fine Line Music Cafe was evacuated Sunday night after a bomb threat was made on social media.

According to reports, security began escorting fans out of the club around 6:30 pm. Lean exited the venue and remained on his tour bus as police taped off the block.

A bomb squad searched the facility, and it was determined the location was clear of any explosive devices around 7:50 pm. Both Yung Lean and the Minneapolis PD addressed the incident on Twitter.

Yung Lean first gained international attention with his single “Ginseng Strip 2002” and his 2013 mixtape Unknown Death 2002. The Stockholm native has released two studio albums – 2014’s Unknown Memory and 2016’s Warlord. Lean is scheduled to perform in Seattle, Vancouver, and Portland in the coming days.

Big Sean & Jhené Aiko Announce Release Date For ‘Twenty88′ Joint Project

(AllHipHop News) Def Jam recording artists rapper Big Sean and singer Jhené Aiko are joining forces for a new joint project. They announced the Twenty88 EP will arrive this week.

The “I Don’t F*ck with You” rhymer and “The Worst” vocalist revealed the release date and cover art for Twenty88 on their respective Instagram pages. In addition, a new Twitter account dedicated to the EP posted two videos featuring Sean and Jhené. The duo’s collaborative effort is scheduled to arrive this Friday, April 1.

Did Blac Younsta Get Transgender Beat Up Over Dating Allegations?

Now there are reports that he had the transgender human being beat up over these allegations of sexual impropriety…or propriety.

MediaTakeOut.com reported yesterday, that a popular TRANSGENDER named Bnell was making a lot of INCREDIBLE ACCUSATIONS – about having relations with rapper Blac Youngsta . . . well she’s now in the hospital.

Just a few hours after MediaTakeOut.com posted the report – Blac Younsta came out and PUBLICLY denied Bnell’s accusations. And then it happened.

In what could be a completely UNRELATED set of circumstances, MediaTakeOut.com learned that BNell was attacked yesterday, by a group of men. She was beaten badly and rushed to the hospital where she suffered back and neck injuries.

She’s expected to make it . . . but the next few days will NOT be fun.

Tiny Issues Statement, Says T.I. Made It To Atlanta To Welcome Baby Girl

(AllHipHop News) Rap star T.I. and his wife Tiny welcomed their third child together, a 5lb baby girl, yesterday (March 26) at 2:58PM in Atlanta.

The baby girl, which is T.I.’s seventh child, was originally supposed to be born on April 20, but the Harris’ got an Easter weekend gift when the child came unexpectedly.

Although it was originally claimed that he was at a show in South Carolina and missed the baby’s birth, those posts came from a fake Facebook account that has over 160,000 followers and copies most of the rap star’s posts.

It appears that T.I. managed to see the tender moment after all.

Here is the statement Tiny’s issued to AllHipHop.com below:

In true Harris fashion, our baby girl made us all HUSTLE, making a surprise early entrance.

While we expected her to arrive around April 20th, our PERFECT baby girl decided March 26th was the right time for her DEBUT.

My husband, Tip Harris, went from the stage right to the plane from his show in Las Vegas and luckily, made it to Atlanta with time to spare. Our whole clan was together to see our beautiful healthy baby girl make her way into the world. Just the way I like it!!

We are looking forward to more exciting times with our #Lucky7.

NJ Gov. Chris Christie Wants Obama To Extradite Assata Shakur

(AllHipHop News) Who didn’t see this coming? Chris Christie has already jumped into the political furor as U.S. President Obama and Cuba’s Rubio Castro seem to be easing political tensions between the neighboring nations.

Christie, a who is vying to be Donald Trump’s running mate, has called for the extradition of Assata Shakur, an activist that was convicted of killing a New Jersey State trooper in the 1970’s. Shakur managed to escape prison and found political asylum in Cuba.

In an op-ed piece, Christie wrote, “For more than three decades, the Cuban government has given safe harbor and refuge to a domestic terrorist – a cop killer who was duly tried and convicted by a jury of her peers, sentenced to imprisonment, and who fled justice rather than pay for her crimes. Every day that she remains at large from justice has been a travesty to her victims’ families and the memory of Trooper Foerster.”

To many, Shakur has been a symbol of the injustice and criminality of the United States government which has owned up to clandestine operations like COINTELPRO. More recently, a aid to president Nixon admitted to a war against African Americans by the disgraced president.

Autumn Marie, who is a member of Black Lives Matter NYC and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, countered Christie’s claims, citing highly ignored facts.

“There was no evidence Assata committed a crime that night. In fact the evidence and ballistics reports show otherwise. She was put in a men’s facility, her well being was not safe and she was by no means guaranteed a just trial in this country,” Marie told AllHipHop exclusively. “She has lived a peaceful existence since she arrived in Cuba and inspired people around the world with her story. She has not been a threat to anyone. The case needs to be re-examined not just to exonerate Assata but also to bring charges against the police for their excessive force and other wrong doings.”

Last year,  a representative  for Cuba stated on the record that they would not extradite Assata.

“I can say it is off the table,” said Gustavo Machin, the deputy director for American affairs at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Like Marie, Machin questioned the case down to the core of Assata Shakur’s 1977 criminal trial. “There are very serious doubts about that case. We consider that a politically motivated case against that lady,” Machin said last March.

Support Builds For “A Tribe Called Quest Boulevard” In Queens, NY

(AllHipHop News) There is powerful movement toward changing the name of a Queens street to honor the legacy of A Tribe Called Quest and Phife Dawg.

Last week, Phife Dawg, a founding member of the iconic group, died due to complications with diabetes.
Tee Smif, one of the organizers, told AllHipHop exclusively that they were already pushing for this change, but Phife’s passing makes the timing more critical. Smif also said that Talib Kweli was already in support of it and roughly 2,200 people had signed a petition at the time of this writing.

The petition to Queens Council Member I. Daneek Miller goes as follows:

Sadly, this week it was reported that Malik “Phife Dawg” Isaac Taylor of the Iconic Hip Hop group A Tribe Called Quest has died. We are requesting the cooperation of Council Member I. Deneek Miller and Speaker Mark-Viverito to support our new proposed co-naming of Linden Boulevard between 192 Street and 193 Street to: A Tribe Called Quest Boulevard.

Rappers Celebrate Easter Sunday In Different Ways

(AllHiphop News) This Easter Sunday rappers across the Hip-Hop community shared in celebrating Easter, also called “Resurrection Sunday”

Across the game, from new songs to new babies, this Easter was eventful for Hip-Hop.

T.I. celebrated Easter with the birth of a new baby, welcoming his 7th child into the world with Tiny Harris.

The rapper took to Twitter to share in the widely reported news, “#Facts #HappyEaster #GodIsGOOD #AllTheTIME #Amen ”

Kanye West also celebrated the holiday in the form of the release of “Ultralight Prayer.”

The religious inspired song quickly spread and features a poignant sermon at the beginning of the song.

With a chorus singing in the background and the assistance of a Kirk Franklin Yeezus calls on God as he’s been known to do (“Jesus Walks”) and delivers a timely record.

“Father, this prayer is for everyone that feels they’re not good enough / This prayer is for everybody that feels they’re too messed up /
For everyone that feels they’ve said ‘I’m sorry’ too many times/ Let them know that’s why you took the nail/  So we could have eternal life,” Kirk Franklin says in his sermon.

Yesterday according to KQED, Mistah F.A.B. provided food and an opportunity for families to have fun  with a free Easter egg hunt at Mosswood Park in the Bay.

Other Rappers also celebrated the pastel themed holiday in their own ways with humor, Snoop Tweeting the following photo.

Dave Chappelle Clowns Bruce Jenner In Recent Standup Routine

(AllHipHop News) During his third show at the Palladium in Hollywood, comedian Dave Chappelle had a 6-7 minute standup routine about the Jenner family.  According to TMZ, Chappelle talked about Bruce Jenner first, calling him a “Super Hero” that was “beating Africans” in track and field in the 70’s. He then talked about a recent run-in with Kanye West that there was some “change coming through.”

According to the report, everyone was laughing at Chappelle’s hot sixteen full of jokes. However, Kylie Jenner was in VIP with Tyga that same night and she wasn’t laughing at all. Paparazzi manage to catch them both leaving the club. Tyga’s expression seems like he’s happy with what he saw, but Kylie’s not.

Busta Rhymes Writes Touching, Heartfelt Letter About Phife

(AllHipHop News) The world of Hip-Hop continues to mourn the sudden loss of Phife Dawg, a founding member of A Tribe Called Quest.

Long time friend and collaborator, Busta Rhymes finally took to social media to explain his emotional state in the aftermath of Phife’s passing.

As a member of Leaders of the New School, Busta and Phife worked together quite frequently. In the letter, Busta talks about their 28-year old friendship.

I had to spend the last 2 days going thru a lot of honest thoughts and emotions b 4 I spoke because this one hurts soooo f###### much. I can’t begin to explain what @iamthephifer and @qtiptheabstract and @jarobiwhite and @alishaheed means to me and how much they have done for my life. These guys are my big brothers, my friends, and the dudes that always protected me frm the b####### that came with life both personally and professionally in a way that only big brothers can do it. If u look at this picture closely, on the night of one of my my most magical moments in my 25 year journey in music DEC.5th 2015, I was able to have a dream come true in a way that it never had and that was to perform What’s the scenario (original and the rmx) for the 1st time ever back to back with all of the original members of Leaders of the New School and A Tribe Called Quest since we recorded these songs in 1991 & 1992. That night was so magical with all of the love that was under one roof that it’s too much to get into the details of but again please take another look at this picture, if u notice @iamthephifer had his hand on my back consoling me as I kneeled down to give thanks crying tears of joy because of how proud of a moment that was for me being able to end a 4 hour set with brothers who put me in a position where I was able to tell my mother she will not have to work for anyone over 20 yrs ago. The belief that they had in me puttin’ me and Leaders on that record, putting me last on the record because back then being last on the record meant EVERYTHING, I had no idea at that time what they were setting me up in life to be but thru out the years it was so consistent their love and concern for my well being that it was no way I couldn’t see it. Ever since that concert I have had the opportunity to spend time with Phife way more than I have been able to in over 10yrs. I’ve known this man for over 28yrs and I think I’ve seen him in the last 4 months the happiest that I’ve seen him in a very long time. It was apparent that every wish that he had was coming true and I can honestly say that I was witnessing the anointing frm a bird’s eye view 1st hand. Until we meet again King, RIP
