Azealia Banks Takes Shots At K. Michelle Over Cancelled Tour?

Photo via Azealia Banks’ Instagram

It was all good just a week ago! Just when it seemed like the cancelled tour of K. Michelle and Azealia Banks would end with no bad blood, that was all too good to be true. Azealia Banks has already taken shots at K. Michelle calling out everything from her failed relationships to her “fake” body. K. Michelle just made up with Tamar Braxton, and now it seems like she is falling out with Banks. This should be a pretty interesting beef if it escalates. Both K and Azealia have a mouth on them. K. Michelle seems to be in a positive place, so she may not respond.

Puff Daddy Says He’s Now Living A “Positive Vibrations” Lifestyle (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The third episode of Pharrell Williams’ 2-hour Beats 1 Radio show OTHERtone featured Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs. The Bad Boy Records founder stopped by the program to discuss his history with Pharrell and more.

Pharrell talked about meeting Puff (aka Diddy) for the first time at Daddy’s House Recording Studios. The then relatively unknown producer and his Neptunes partner Chad Hugo got the chance to work with Bad Boy artists Total on 1996’s “When Boy Meets Girl” and Ma$e on 1997’s “Lookin’ At Me.” P credited Puff with giving him and Chad the confidence to release music as the Hip Hop group N.E.R.D. aswell.

The conversation also included Puff discussing his move toward a positive thinking lifestyle. The New York City mogul has been involved in a couple of violent incidents over the last year. He reportedly smacked Drake in Miami, and Diddy was arrested for allegedly assaulting a UCLA coach. But Diddy claims he is now fully embracing a peaceful mindset.

Puff Daddy said:

I was rapping with this cat. I didn’t really know him. We were just talking about negative and positive. I was telling him, “I’m really trying to be more positive.” He just said, “If you’re faced with something negative and you hit it with a negative, it’s only gonna give you another negative. The only way to turn around a negative is to hit it with a positive.”

I was like, “Damn, it’s been that simple the whole time.” So I made a decision on what I want to put out there. I don’t wanna give you nothing but love. I don’t wanna give you nothing but positive vibrations. Yes, Puff Daddy has become a hippy.

Young Caliber- “LoCo”

With strong Harlem roots and down south grooming,Young Caliber is self-proclaimed to be the next best thing to hit the music scene. Infamously known as the “North-South Kid”, Caliber brandishes his skills to integrate both the swagger of New York Hip Hop with the hard bounce of the South, culminating the “best of both worlds”. As a child, writing rhymes and playing basketball were two skills that came natural to Young Caliber. He attributes his love for Hip Hop to legends like Kanye West, Notorious B.I.G. and T.I. Being raised on the tough streets of Harlem, until he was eleven years old, Young Caliber found himself in and out of the juvenile system for most of his young life. Eventually getting on the right track, Caliber finished high school, in Hilton Head High, SC; he was given a partial scholarship to play basketball.

After a year and a half of attending college, and struggling to maintain financially, Caliber realized the NBA wasn’t in his future and decided to leave the university. He soon moved back home to Bluffton, S.C. where he focused on perfecting his writing skills, and devising a plan to break into the music industry. With a hustler’s grind and determination, and being the only member still able to pursue their dream, Caliber decided to go full throttle and pursue a career as a solo artist. Over the next few months, Caliber worked diligently in the studio recording music, and in 2008, he released his first mixtape ‘The Heart of the Streets’. The mixtape received rave reviews and street credibility. In 2013 Young Caliber dropped a single called “ALL on ME ” which garnered support and spins from 93.1, one of South Carolina’s biggest radio stations. 2015 has proven to be another great year as Caliber has just released his first new single “LoCo” which is available on iTunes currently! Young Caliber has been making an impact on the industry and has opened up for T.I., Pastor Troy, Trina, Yo Gotti, 2 Chainz, and many more! Ice Cube Offers His Thoughts On Meek Mill Versus Drake, Talks Feuding With Eazy-E

(AllHipHop News) Who’s better to provide commentary on the hottest feud in Hip Hop at the moment than the man that created the classic diss track “No Vaseline”? Rap legend/actor Ice Cube was asked about the Meek Mill versus Drake battle, and the West Coast representative made it clear the rhymer from Toronto is in the lead at the moment.

“Drake is winning right now,” Cube told The Daily Beast. “But, you know… Meek could come back.”

Cube took shots at his former groupmates and manager Jerry Heller on 1991’s “No Vaseline.” Some Hip Hop historians partially credit the song for leading to the rest of N.W.A. disbanding. Dr. Dre left the group not long after the track was released.

The story of Cube, Dre, Eazy, MC Ren, and DJ Yella’s rise as one of the most iconic rap groups of all time is depicted in the new movie Straight Outta Compton. One real life moment does not appear in the biopic. In The Daily Beast interview, Ice Cube revealed he had a discussion with Eazy about their famous conflict.

“At one point – and this isn’t in the movie — me and Eazy got on the phone after our feud,” said Cube. “We were like, ‘We should just keep this on wax, no matter how mad we get and how much sh*t we talk. Let’s keep it on wax because once we take it to the streets it ain’t Hip Hop no more. It’s gangbanging.’ We all fought to try to get out of the gangbang lifestyle and not have to deal with that every day. Why go back?”

Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports Facing $20 Million Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) First Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal was hit with a $50 million lawsuit by Cash Money’s Birdman. Now Hov’s other business Roc Nation Sports is facing a $20 million lawsuit from two boxing promoters.

According to The New York Daily News, Star Boxing’s Joe DeGuardia and Banner Promotions’ Artie Pelullo filed a suit last week in New York State Supreme court. DeGuardia and Pelullo claim Roc Nation attempted to steal boxer Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade away from them.

The complaint suggests Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports offered Andrade $550,000 to reject a fight DeGuardia and Pelullo negotiated with Showtime. Roc Nation then planned to buy out his contract and become his new promoter, according to the suit.

Andrade pulled out of the Showtime deal, but Roc Nation is being accused of not paying Andrade the $550,000. The lawsuit also claims R.N. never bought out Andrade’s contract from DeGuardia and Pelullo.

“Roc Nation’s promise to Andrade was made under false pretenses, namely, that Roc Nation was negotiating to purchase Andrade’s contract from the promoters and thereafter would negotiate a more lucrative bout for Andrade on HBO,” states the lawsuit. “Ultimately, Andrade agreed to Roc Nation’s false inducements and spurned the professional boxing match the promoters had negotiated with Showtime.”

Andrade is the former World Boxing Organization light middleweight champion. His record currently stands at 21-0, 14 KOs. The Rhode Island native has not fought since June of 2014, and the WBO stripped him of his title for inactivity.

The Roc Nation Sports boxing roster includes Andre Ward, Miguel Cotto, Javier Flores, and more. The management company also represents other athletes such as Kevin Durant, Dez Bryant, Robinson Cano, Victor Cruz, and Skylar Diggins.

A$AP Rocky Discusses Meek Mill Versus Drake & Rappers Having Ghostwriters

(AllHipHop News) It seemed the only Hip Hop story that mattered last week was the ongoing saga between Meek Mill and Drake. After Twitter rants, diss records, and reference tracks being leaked, fans have taken sides on who came out the winner with most of the public going with Drizzy. A$AP Rocky agrees.

The Harlem native spoke to MTV about the war of words between the “R.I.C.O.” collaborators. Rocky compared the back-and-forth to watching the Super Bowl and thanked both artists for providing good entertainment. But he also made it clear he feels Drake came out the victor.

“I think Meek will be fine,” said Rocky. “I think he has a fanbase of his own, and I think that at the end of the day, there had to be a loser in the outcome, and it was Meek. So it is what it is.”

The Meek/Drake drama began after the Dream Chasers head accused the OVO leader of having someone else pen his rhymes. Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex then released four different alleged reference tracks of Atlanta’s Quentin Miller performing Drake verses. Rocky was also asked for his opinion on ghostwriting in Hip Hop.

“If you ask me if that matters, or if the public cares, that’s two different questions. I think that it doesn’t matter at this point for the public — they seem like they don’t care. I don’t know. To me it matters,” stated Rocky.

E-Reign – “Need More”

Prepping his debut, rapper E-Reign has released his newest single “Need More” to introduce his brand to a wider audience. “Need More” is a flurry of hi-hats and snares, a soulful sample chorus, and wavy synths that create a New York vibe (something the rapper feels many artists from his city are afraid to stand behind) and a go-and-get-it attitude to match, brought on by E-Reign’s desire to further his craft and build his
empire.
