Now, we get the official video of his remix for “Young Hot Ebony”, featuring ILoveMakonnen and Rich Po Slim from The Awful Records camp. The video is pretty simple: A group of women dancing to the lyrics of each rapper’s raw verses. However, the set of visuals and the song fit so well that you won’t look away any time soon. Tyga & Chris Brown Discuss Issues With Drake + Kanye West's Comments About Kylie Jenner (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Tyga has been in the news for the past week. The California rapper continues his run as headline fodder thanks to an interview with Hot 97. Tyga’s Fan of a Fan: The Album collaborator Chris Brown took part in the sit down as well, and the two entertainers were asked about their respective issues with Drake.

“We’re not getting no check from talking about dude. We’re giving him all this pub. We’re us,” said Brown about Drake. “I can’t keep making these motherf**kers famous. I’m responsible for reviving a lot of careers.”

Brown then did an impression of Drake. Both he and Tyga mentioned there are a lot of people in the industry they see as not being genuine.

“People can camouflage,” stated Tyga when asked if he and Drake were ever friends.

Besides his rift with Drake, Tyga has had to face questions about his relationship with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. Tyga publicly stated he is not dating the member of the Kardashian family, but he did address his affectionate social media posts directed at Jenner.

“I do it for myself. I speak what I feel in my heart, and if I wanna express that, I’m gonna express that at that time. If I wanna express it later in life, I’m gonna do it later,” Tyga said. “I just feel like it’s nobody’s business.”

The conversation turned to Kanye West’s recent The Breakfast Club interview where the G.O.O.D. Music leader apparently let it slip that Tyga was in love with Kylie. Chris jokingly responded by saying, “Kanye, hold us down playa. You’re Black. Shut the f**k up.”

Tyga also addressed Ye’s comments. He added, “If I love her and I love her as a person, then that’s me. Ain’t nobody else got to worry about that.”

10 Ways Malcolm X Influenced Hip-Hop

Hip-Hop emerged on the heels of the civil rights movement in America.  Therefore, the influence and messages of the Black Panthers, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, and Malcolm X were all very prevalent in rap’s early days.  And with Saturday, February 21, 2015,  being the 50th anniversary of Malcolm X’s passing, AllHipHop.com wanted to pay tribute to the civil rights icon by celebrating his life and acknowledging the impact he played in so many people’s lives. Here is a list of ways in which Malcolm X helped shape Hip-Hop.  As a culture, it is will always be better than it would’ve been without him.

Samples: Naming music that samples Malcolm X would be an entire other  (very long) list, so as a way of giving props to all of them, check out Keith Leblanc’s record, “No Sell Out.”  The precedent that this Tommy Boy-released song set over 30 years ago is still being followed by countless emcees to this day.

Boogie Down Productions By All Means Necessary Album CovBDPByAllMeanser: KRS-One is one of Hip-Hop’s most insightful and influential figures.  He showed his respect for Malcolm by re-creating the image of him standing by the window with a gun for protection after his house had been firebombed for the front of BDP’s sophomore set.  Malcolm once said, “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today,” and KRS is one example which validates those words.

“My Philosophy” Video: Similar to the samples, there are countless rappers, ranging from Public Enemy to Drake, who have referenced Malcolm X in their lyrics.  However, when a photo or image of him is put into a video properly, it takes the already powerful song and gives it an even greater impact. One of the best examples of this is BDP’s “My Philosophy.” Malcolm’s influence clearly didn’t stop with the album cover in ’88.

The Source Magazine Cover: Back in 1990, an image of Malcolm X appeared onScreen-Shot-2014-02-14-at-7.47.19-AM the cover The Source.  At a time when the crack trade was in full swing, Malcolm’s messages of hope and empowerment was much needed. Plus, considering he already had such a presence on records from Hip-Hop’s golden age, the magazine cover confirmed that he had reached a Hip-Hop audience.  The caption said it perfectly, “After 25 years, Hip-Hop Keeps His Message Alive.”

Paris The Devil Made Me Do It: Keeping in mind the previous item on the list, one of the best examples of Malcolm’s ideas and influence making its way on to wax from one era to the next is the debut from West Coast rapper, Paris.  He was heavily inspired by the Black Panthers and both of its founding members has cited Malcolm X as playing a significant role in their lives.  One of its founders, Huey P. Newton, wrote that he perceived the Black Panther Party as “a living testament to [Malcolm X’s] life work.”

The Nation of Islam: When Malcolm X was sent to prison, he was still Malcolm Little.  It was during his incarceration that he converted to Islam and changed his last name to “X” (as in the variable since he believed his true lineage had been lost or destroyed during slavery).  Not long after, the pride that he took in the Nation was very apparent.  Similarly, some Hip-Hop artists have put a spotlight on the Nation in their rhymes and videos, just like Malcolm did in his speeches.  Clearly, his message was heard by the generation that followed.

Tupac Speech: Pac is widely regarded as one of rap’s most iconic figures.  Not only were his rhymes incredible, but the depth of his writing on things in the real world connected him with listeners in a way that no one ever did before or has since.  Not surprisingly, Malcolm X was a major influence on him.

Twone Gabz “Malcolm X”: For as often as the current Hip-Hop scene is criticized for being unintelligent and unoriginal, it is just that much more important to recognize artists who really do stand for something.  One such artist is Twone Gabz, a protege of the legendary Erick Sermon, and two years ago he dropped mini-movie called “Malcolm X” which showed that like Malcolm himself (and unlike many of his contemporaries), he won’t be bamboozled.

Nicki Minaj “Lookin’ A** N***a” Cover Art: Fortunately, Ms. Minaj got rid of it.  However, just last year, Nicki released a single called, “Lookin’ A** N***a”  and the album artwork featured a picture of lookin-ass-nicki-minaj-cover.jpgMalcolm X right next to the racial slur.  Malcolm X’s family and his estate were quick to call her out.  Malcolm’s daughter said that the picture “in no way is endorsed by our family.”  And the business representative for his estate referred to it as “dehumanizing.”

Names: While not all of these acts have work that reflects the same level of social awareness as Malcolm X, artists, groups, and DJs like Mia X, Sadat X, Professor X (and the group he was in, X Clan), and Terminator X, just to name a few, have all given props to him by adding the 24th letter of the alphabet to the end of their name just like him.

Rest In Peace, Malcolm X.

Is Safaree Being Slick With K. Michelle And Nicki Minaj?

Based on the crap people were talking, I had to google “K. Michelle / Nicki Minaj Beef.” And come to find out, they definitely had beef back in the day. I guess it was over Meek Mill, which whom K had some sort of fling with. Anyway, Safaree sent K. Michelle a bunch of flowers. She’s in the hospital for something instagrammable. And, the flowers were too so she told the world.

Now, she makes it clear that she and Nicki’s Ex are just “Friends,” but you know people are going to talk. She does too.

Woke up from my surgery yesterday and got my favorite flower. Very sweet. Thanks to @sbstunts much respect that was real. Thanks to everyone who called and text to make sure I was good. Oh the hashtags of it all…smh.

Haters Be Damned: Kanye West Is A Dope Motherf**ker.

Kanye West is a dope motherf**ker. He epitomizes what Hip Hop used to be, was birthed to be. Brash, arrogant, unapologetic and non-conforming to the status quo. Hip Hop did whatever it wanted to do. It was never supposed to assimilate into mainstream culture. It was supposed to rival it, point out the indifference, and be antagonizing to the snobs who looked over their bifocals, down on people like me. Hip Hop used to be dope like Kanye West is.

In just the past two weeks, I’d like to point out to you several things that I observed Kanye West do that excited me and reminded me of what Hip Hop used to be and confirmed the dopeness of Ye. The first thing was done at the Grammy’s. Now let’s be honest, initially rap artists weren’t invited to the Grammys for one specific reason. They didn’t think that we would know how to act. Well s###, it’s Hip Hop, how would they expect us to act? In the paragraph above I just told you that we were once anti-establishment and extremely unpredictable to the predictable. So maybe they feared that we’d ruin their little awards show by doing something disrespectful like interrupting someone’s Grammy acceptance speech and pointing out that someone else was more deserving of the award. Now I’d have to say that would be some Hip Hop s###. But who has the balls to do that? Yeezy did it!

Saturday Night Live performances are relished in the ethos of Hollywood. Careers are spurned and cemented in the house Lorne Michaels built. But in all honesty, ever since Eddie Murphy left the show, I’ve had no interest in watching. By the way, if the rumor is accurate that Eddie Murphy refused to kick a man while he was down, “kudos.” Anyhow, no interest in watching until I heard that Kanye West would be performing.

So I tuned in expecting nothing more than another Hip-Hop moment, and I got just that. I ask, did he open his set performing damn near a whole song in its entirety while laying down on his back? Was that a blatant “I do what I want and you’re still going to love it” type of s### move? Disregarding possible difficulties of camera angles and any other technical obstacles or just simply how it may be perceived by others. If told in advance that someone was going to perform like that on national television, if I didn’t know any better, I would’ve said to myself (not for anyone else to hear of course) “that ni**a is crazy.” Which is basically the same sentiments often expressed by other’s when they misconstrue uncalculated moves with strategic impromptu IDGAFWYT decisions. Ultimately the difference between what some would call “ni**a s**t” and Hip Hop. But once again, who has the balls to do that? Yeezy did it!

During the 2015 NBA All-Star weekend Hot 97 Tip-Off Show with Puff Daddy, I saw a video of Kanye performing “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.” We already know the title alone and the song is definitely Hip Hop, completely personifying the attitude of the culture, but that wasn’t the most Hip Hop s### he did that I’m referencing. Naw, how about in the middle of his performance he had the gall and audacity to direct the cameraman to move the camera more, to give it “more action, more action, more hip hop s**t.” And told him, “F### all that weak s**t” in the middle of his show when he was rapping “you can’t tell me nothing.” I don’t need to tell you that it doesn’t get more Hip Hop than that, literally. In the hood, that would commonly be referred to as some “gangster s**t” which used to be interchangeable with Hip Hop. Nevertheless, who has the balls to do something like that? Yeezy did it!

If you listen to him he’ll tell you that he’s Hip Hop in many different measures. Like today, during his interview on The Breakfast Club with DJ Envy, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God, when he simply talked about naming his daughter North and calling her “Nori” as being Hip Hop. A clear reference to Capone-N-Noreaga. And now thanks to Charlamagne we also found out that Noreaga can’t just be satisfied with influencing Kanye’ daughter’s nickname, he’s also inquiring whether or not he was the influence of his song Only One. All jokes, I assume. But still, “Nori,” for a little girl named North is slick. Do I have to tell you that’s some Hip Hop sh*t? Who cares what you think, remember? That’s what Hip-Hop used to be.

Now for those of you that don’t know me, which account for a great portion of you, this was written somewhat “tongue and cheek.” However, all I was alluding to is that Kanye West reminds me of the culture I fell in love with as a child. The thing that rebelled against what others said was normal. Redefining what normal is, while encouraging others to do the same. Being yourself and being true to who you are even in the midst of doubters, naysayers and other entities too scared to stray from their comfort zones to possibly experience something greater. Or hell, maybe fail at something less, but still learn something and even more importantly, remove fear. Remove fear. Remove fear.
