Nikko London – "Exclusive"

Many were introduced to Nikko as he appeared on the second season of VH1’s#### reality show, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Nikko became a cast member thanks to his rekindled romance with Mimi Faust whom also appears on the show. Although love brought him into millions of homes on Monday nights, it’s Nikko’s God given musical talents that will eventually make him a household name.

Looking to start the new year off the right way, Nikko serves up a new track titled “Exclusive.” The single is a smooth, slowly-winding R&B anthem dedicated to making that special woman feel like she’s a queen by giving her the most exclusive romance of her life. With a sound that’s ready for the radio, expect a lot more from Nikko London as we move forward in 2015.

206: Masta Ace Incorporated: A Great Move By Masta Ace

At the time Masta Ace created Masta Ace Incorporated it was purely based on financial reasons. I asked Brian Coleman, author of "Check the Technique: Vol 2”, whether this reason changed his opinion of what he thought of Masta Ace Incorporated:

"The stuff they were making was very dark, very murky. The SlaughtaHouse single is amazing. It's just so underrated because it is so over the top…people didn't get it…It was obviously a joke." Brian continued " I think it was a great move on Masta Ace's part because he's clearly since then gone back and forth…He just goes with just whatever he feels at the moment. I think that the group was great. I think that Slaughterhouse is as good, if not better then Take A Look Around which was a great record too. If anything it just increased his range to me and made me more impress. "

EXCLUSIVE: Grand Puba Reunites With Babygrande Records For New "The More Things Change" LP, Drops Title Track

(AllHipHop News) Grand Puba has renewed his partnership with Babygrande Records for the release of his upcoming The More Things Change albumThe Brand Nubian founding member’s 5th solo LP is slated to hit stores this spring, and he plans to use the project as a platform to shed light on the proverb “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”

“I have always felt that I am both an emcee and messenger for the people. Technology has ushered in the Information Age and its time for all people to use this age to right the wrongs of the past and set things up for a righteous future,” Puba tells AllHipHop.com.

The More Things Change will be the first official release from Grand Puba since 2009’s Retroactive. The politically conscious lyricist starts his Babygrande reunion off with the project’s title track. The jazz-influenced song narrates Puba’s views on police brutality, slave movies, stolen history, unifying the community, and Black pride. “The More Things Change” single features production by PhD and vocals from Isis.

“It saddens me to see a new generation experiencing the same social, political and economic challenges that every generation prior has faced. The world is watching everything from police brutality, to the failure of our judicial system, to Hollywood’s continuous inaccurate portrayal of our Egyptian ancestors. The world is watching,” adds the Hip Hop legend. “I am thrilled to be back with Babygrande to release my new album and to do my part as an emcee and as a messenger.”
