(VIDEO) Why Did Biggie Dislike Craig Mack?

Images source: Tumblr.

So, back in the day, Biggie Smalls and Craig Mack were the two super stars of Puffy Combs new label, Bad Boy Records. They even had ill promo items like “the Big Mack.” However, on the low, Biggie didn’t really care for Craig Mack. Remember when he said, “I got more Mack than Craig”? That was an indication of it all. Peep the video:

It has never been revealed WHY B.I.G. disliked Mack so much. I’m thinking its because he thought Mack was just corny or something. I don’t know, because Craig was pretty dope on that first album.

You peep Lil Cease? LOL!

“I’m like a n***a that was on the bench that just got a ring. I didn’t do s**t on Def Jam, so f**k me. I’m not important,” Mega tells ForbezDVD. “But LL, Slick Rick, and Public Enemy – they’re not even on the 30th anniversary. LL Cool J should be the headliner.”

LL addressed the snub during a recent interview. The “Mama Said Knock You Out” emcee revealed he was not asked to perform at the event, but he is not angry about not being included.

Anonymous Claims They Forced Atlantic Records To Give Lupe Fiasco’s Album A Release Date

(AllHipHop News) Lupe Fiasco finally received a release date for his upcoming album Tetsuo and Youth. The project is now scheduled to hit stores January 20, 2015. It has been over a year since Lupe announced the album, but issues with his label Atlantic Records apparently kept the LP on the shelf.

So what pushed the company to finally set a date for Tetsuo and Youth? The hacktivisit group Anonymous is claiming credit for the move. Anonymous’ used its Twitter account to threaten Atlantic – release Lupe’s album or face the wrath of online hackers.

Hours later Atlantic announced a date for Lupe’s project. It may have been a coincidence, but according to Anonymous, their threat played a major role in the announcement. They released the following statement:

Citizens of the World and lovers of conscious music

We are Anonymous.

24 hours ago we released a short Twitter ultimatum. We called upon record label Atlantic Records, responsible for releasing conscious rap artist Lupe Fiasco’s long awaited Album. We demanded a statement from the label within 24 hours to release a date or we would unleash the complete and utter fury of our collective on their company and executives. 21 hours later they released a short Tweet citing the album and it’s release date.

At this time it can be concluded that we have proved our point. We wish music that is educating the masses to keep being released. We will fight for that. Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common and others are the moving force behind conscious rap. This is music we will fight for.

Operation Atlantic, Operation Free Lupe; disengaged.

Mission Accomplished.

We are Anonymous.

Never cease to expect us.

Converse Sues Ralph Lauren, Walmart and More For Trademark Infringement

Converse is sick of their style being imitated and is dishing out lawsuits. The New York Times reports that the footwear company has taken legal action against 31 companies for trademark infringement. In 22 separate lawsuits filed in the U.S District Court in Brooklyn on Oct. 14th, Converse named companies like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sketchers, Ralph Lauren, FILA and others claiming that they have copied the design of their Chuck Taylor sneaker.

Converse has also filed a separate complaint with the International Trade Commission to stop these companies from selling what they consider Chuck Taylor imitations. The ITC has the power to prevent anything considered fake from entering the country to be sold.

“The goal really is to stop this action,” Converse chief executive Jim Calhoun told NYT. “I think we’re quite fortunate here to be in the possession of what we would consider to be an American icon.”

The amount that Converse is seeking has not been disclosed.

Dallas Hospital Says They Are Deeply Sorry For Mishandling Ebola Case

The Dallas hospital where two American nurses contracted Ebola and one Ebola patient died is now apologizing. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital has issued an apology for mishandling the case of the now deceased Thomas Eric Duncan, who was sent home after he first visited the hospital complaining of a fever and mentioned that he was from Liberia. Since Duncan’s death on Oct. 8th, two nurses that treated him have been diagnosed with Ebola, 26-year-old Nina Pham and 29-year-old Amber Vinson.

In a written testimony to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the chief clinical officer for Texas Health Services Daniel Varga stated that losing Duncan was devastating to the hospital and expressed regret for not properly diagnosing him initially.

“Unfortunately, in our initial treatment of Mr. Duncan, despite our best intentions and a highly skilled medical team, we made mistakes. We did not correctly diagnose his symptoms as those of Ebola. We are deeply sorry.”

There is now a heightened concern about the virus spreading throughout the United States due to Vinson traveling by air between Cleveland and Dallas while having Ebola symptoms. Before Vinson was officially diagnosed with the virus, she called the CDC and complained that she had a fever but was told that she could still fly. She then flew from Cleveland to Dallas and was later officially diagnosed. Since news hit that she flew while exhibiting symptoms, the 132 passengers that she flew with are being interviewed and a few schools in Dallas and Cleveland have been closed due to Vinson being on board with students, CNN reports. Frontier Airlines also reportedly gave six crew members paid leave for 21 days as a safety precaution.

Vinson is currently being treated in Atlanta at Emory University Hospital while Pham remains in “good” condition at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.

Stacey Dash Suggests Black Americans Are ‘Uneducated’ Under Obama’s Watch

Now a regular guest commentator on FOX News, actress Stacey Dash has caused an uproar yet again after suggesting that Blacks are suffering thanks to President Obama. During an appearance earlier this week on FOX’s Hannity, Dash advised that social welfare programs were pushed by the Democratic Party in an effort to rule over minorities.

“It still keeps them stuck. They are getting money for free,” said Dash before adding “They feel worthless. They are uneducated.”

When asked whether conditions for Blacks had improved during Obama’s presidency she advised, “no, not at all.”

This comes on the heels of statements she made earlier this summer in which she suggested artist Kanye West should be “raped in prison” in response to the rapper’s rant against the paparazzi.

No stranger to controversy, the Clueless star came under fire in 2012 when she publicly endorsed Republican candidate Mitt Romney, after first lending support to then presidential hopeful Obama in 2008.

B.O.B. Hosts “Not For Long” Ft. Trey Songz Listening Dinner In Atlanta

Atlantic Records recently hosted a dinner for B.O.B. to celebrate his latest single, “Not For Long.” The Hennessy sponsored event was held at the Mean Street Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. Attendees included Atlantic Records A&R Kawan “KP” Prather, D. Woods, Demetria McKinney, Kap G, Young Thug, Courtney Sills and more.

The single is a feel good track featuring Trey Songz. B.O.B is currently preparing his fourth studio album, No Genre, his first single from the upcoming effort. “Not For Long” pairs the Grand Hustle rapper with his label mate Trey Songz, who delivers a R&B hook that sounds like it could slide into any radio rotation with ease. B.O.B is trying to steal your girl so it’s only fitting that he joins with “Mr. Steal Your Girl” Trigga Trey. Bobby Ray is also about to head out on his No Genre tour on October 21st, on which he will be joined by Baton Rouge MVP Kevin Gates.

B.O.B spits over the beat (“I’ll give you the world if you ain’t got it yet”), while Trigga Trey croons with the melodic hook. “You might be with someone else, but I still see that you fiend to be with a G like me,” he boasts. B.o.B’s new single “Not For Long” is out on iTunes now.

Julia Beverly And Pimp C’s Son’s Mom Fire Back Over Book Beef

(AllHipHop News) Julia Beverly, the longtime journalist, has been working on a book about the late, great Pimp C for 4 years, but has run into some friction as the release date nears.

Chinara Butler, the widow of the late UGK rapper, has denounced the book on social media and through other publications. Now, Julia Beverly speaks on the controversy surrounding the book.

Beverly, the founder of acclaimed OZONE magazine, talked exclusively to AllHipHop.com about why the book is completely legit.

RELATED: Hip-Hop Rumors: Beef With New Pimp C Book?

“When Pimp C was alive, we worked together on numerous projects and shared a mutual friendship, trust, and respect. This is a book that has been 4 years in the making with the full support of his mother and other family members. His mother Mama Wes, who was UGK’s manager for many years, passed away suddenly in 2013 after we had completed nearly 40 hours of interviews. I initially intended to do this project with his “estate” through his wife. However, after I learned that his wife does not have custody of any of his children, and his sons do not benefit financially from his estate, I made alternate arrangements with his mother. Mama Wes entrusted me with telling her son’s story accurately and honestly; it’s a responsibility I take very seriously. Sometimes the truth hurts, so I can understand why some people don’t want the story to be told.”

Angela Crooks, speaks on behalf of Pimp C’s two sons, but is the mother of one. She backs Beverly and expressed her total support of the effort in stark contrast to Chinara.

“Chad’s widow Chinara is ‘the matriarch of her family’ but she does not speak on behalf of Chad’s sons Chad Jr., Corey, the rest of the family, the late Mama Wes, or the UGK Records family. She is only speaking for her and her daughter,” Angela Crooks told AllHipHop exclusively. Angela is the mother of Chad’s son Corey. “Julia Beverly has our full support with the Pimp C biography.”

Chinara had previously told djsdoingwork.com her reasoning for not supporting the Beverly book, including a book of her own.

“As the matriarch of my family, and voice of Chad Butler’s estate, I feel that it’s imperative that I make it publicly known that we do not endorse, nor have any ties to Julia Beverly’s pending unauthorized biography of Pimp C’s life. While I did meet with Julia regarding the book, I never committed our support to the project. We are working tirelessly to protect and manage the legacy my late husband built, and this book is counterproductive to our goals.

Pimp C’s estate has several projects underway that we know his fans will appreciate, including new music. After a successful Pimp C Tribute show at A3C, we’re putting the finishing touches on a new album. The project is the culmination of more than a year of work from Juicy J and myself . The project includes production contributions from Ray Murray (of Organized Noise), DJ B-Do ,CoryMo, Mike Will Made-It and Warren G, and features from Bun B, E-40,Too-Short, ASAP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Lill Wayne, Chris Brown, ESG, Lil KeKe, Devin The Dude, Sleepy Brown, Raheem DeVaughn, Rick Ross and more. I’m also penning a book that will give the world new insight into Chad Butler, the man.

I believe that all things should be done decent and in order, but more importantly with respect. While we wish Julia the best in her endeavors, it is our desire to totally separate ourselves, and the late Mama Wes from this project.”

Julia Beverly’s book, titled SWEET JONES: PIMP C’s TRILL LIFE STORY, will be released early 2015. More information is available at PimpCBook.com.
