TMZ Recovers Audio of "Django Unchained" Actress Danielle Watts With Los Angeles Police

Sometimes it’s just better to be quiet.

Over the weekend, news circulated around that “D’Jango Unchained” actress Danielle Watts as arrested for alleged prostitution claims by Los Angeles police. Watts accused the police of wrongfully arresting her over her race after kissing her boyfriend. Now, that wrongful arrest is starting to seem a bit sketchy. Today, TMZ has received info from witnesses that Watts was allegedly having sex in the car with her boyfriend, with the door open for everyone to see. TMZ also recovered audio footage of the confrontation between Watts and the police officer. According to the audio footage, Watts not only refused to give the police officer her ID before the officer called for backup and detaining her, but she also acknowledges “how many times she’s been called for being black” and also acknowledges her publicist.

This is only one of the four recordings of the incident, but if what witnesses have allegedly told the police are true, there might be a different take on how we look at Watts’ situation.

Ray Rice Is Appealing Indefinite Suspension From The NFL (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Many sports insiders, fans, and women’s groups felt the NFL’s decision to indefinitely suspend Ray Rice for hitting his then fiancée Janay Palmer was too little, too late. But Rice is ready to argue the punishment was unfair according to a report by NBC Sports.

The former Baltimore Ravens star is appealing the league’s ruling. He is claiming that he told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell the truth about what happened the night he struck Palmer at an Atlantic City hotel. Other sources who were present during the meeting with Goodell have backed up that account as well.

At the moment, Goodell would actually have the final say on Rice’s appeal, but the running back and the NFL Players Union is expected to ask for an outside officer to oversee the hearing. Rice has hired his own personal attorney to handle the appeal.

The NFL originally suspended Rice for only two games, but after elevator footage of the incident was released the suspension was extended to an indefinite amount of time. Rice is essentially claiming he is being punished twice by the league for the same offense.

Rice was released from the Ravens after the video became public as well.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Big Sean Going For Naya Rivera In New Song?

Over the weekend Big Sean dropped a few new tracks, including one titled “I Don’t F*** Wit You.”

The song is allegedly aimed at his ex, Glee star Naya Rivera, whom after he had a messy a** breakup with, quickly got married to her Glee co-star on the same date she and Sean set aside for their big day.

On it he has a couple of choice words for his ex, although he claims the song was written while he was still in a relationship with her. He did share with Hot New Hip-Hop that he went back and “changed up a few lines” when things went bad.

““Obviously after a few things went down I went back and changed a couple words, but mainly the song was already there. It’s funny how things play out, but that song is an anthem,”” Sean said.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Iggy Azalea Threatens To Sue Vivid!

From the sounds of things this alleged sex tape may be legit.

Iggy Azalea has now enlisted the help of her lawyers to put a stop to the release.

TMZ reports Iggy is doing everything she can to halt the proceedings and feels betrayed by her ex-boyfriend, Hefe Wine. If you’re unfamiliar with the rapper, he hails from Houston and scored a hit a few years back with “Pop My Trunk.” Peep the details below:

“Iggy Azalea’s lawyers are throwing the kitchen sink at a major p### company … now claiming Vivid will get its dirty corporate ass sued if it dares to market her alleged sex tape … because the name “Iggy” can only be used by Iggy.

It seems a sex tape exists, even though her lawyers deny it. Initially they said it was a fabrication … then said if it does exist she may have been a minor. The “sex partner” — rapper Hefe Wine — told TMZ Live Friday there is indeed a tape and she knew about it and consented. And he says she was NOT a minor … he says he met her when she was 18.

Now Iggy’s lawyers have fired off a letter to Vivid — obtained By TMZ — in which they say the name “Iggy” is gold … protected by U.S. Trademark.

So maybe Vivid could market the tape this way — STEAMY SEX TAPE, FEATURING SHMIGGY SHMEZELIA AND HEFE WINE!

Vivid is unimpressed, restating it’s desire to market the tape.

BTW … sources close to Iggy say she feels betrayed by her ex-BF.”

The 50 and Slowbucks feud came to a head at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert when Buck’s chain was reportedly taken by someone associated with 50. The issues between the two allegedly first began when Slowbucks posted a picture with Marquise and fellow 50 foe Trav.

Russell Simmons Facing $142 Million Lawsuit From Frank Ocean's Father

(AllHipHop News) Frank Ocean’s father is suing Russell Simmons for a reported 9-figure settlement. According to TMZ, Calvin Cooksey is accusing Simmon’s Global Grind website of defaming his name and character in an article.

Cooksey has not been involved in Ocean’s life since he was a young child. The GG post apparently referred to Cooksey as a deadbeat dad, but the self-described singer, writer, and inventor says it was Ocean’s mother that kept him from seeing his son.

Simmons is now being hit with a $142 million lawsuit. There were reports that Cooksey actually attempted to sue Ocean for a million dollars in 2012. Ocean tweeted at the time, “Father wanna sue me for a million. Like I owe him back child support. Weak individual bought me a swiss knife at 6yrs old then dipped on me.” The post was later deleted.

Cooksey is not the first family member of the channel ORANGE album creator to file a suit against celebrity. Ocean’s cousin Sha’keir Duarte sued Chris Brown in 2013 after the R&B singer’s bodyguard allegedly punched and kicked Duarte during a parking lot scuffle. Brown counter sued Duarte for assault and battery as well.

The series was directed by Dikayl Rimmasch and appeared during Jay and Bey’s “On The Run” Tour. Rimmasch told Nowness:

In my first conversation on the telephone with Jay Z he explained his concept of On the Run. He said: “We’re not trying to do this literally, it’s not that we’re Bonnie and Clyde. We’re on the run from everything. On the run from becoming a cliché. On the run from doing the same thing again.” Everything he mentioned was a level of consciousness he has for staying alive as an entertainer and as a human being. He wanted to keep it more abstract because for him it was very abstract. How do you stay new, not just to your audience but also yourself?

Jay Z and Beyoncé’s “On The Run Tour” will be aired as an HBO concert special this Saturday, September 20.

EXCLUSIVE: Lil Kim Talks ‘Hard Core 2014,’ Motherhood, & MC

Initially emerging amidst a golden environment, Lil Kim, has invested over twenty years into her profession. As the world witnessed the evolution to the woman that she’d become, the Queen Bee, experienced both the arduous and the acclaimed. Regardless of the situation, making music served to soothe her musical soul.

An homage to the past and a challenge for the future, Hard Core 2014, recently dropped. Lil Kim has embraced a new era; she strives to remain faithful, to be the best mother, and to continue her relevant reign throughout the years.

AllHipHop.com: Why choose to release your latest tape, Hard Core 2014, on the thirteenth anniversary of 9/11?

Lil Kim: Well, 9/11 is a very memorable day. There was an unfortunate catastrophe on this day. It is a day that will always be remembered. There are a lot of families that continue to hurt on this day. It’s been a little while—you never know—one of my fans could have someone in their family that was affected by it. So, if they’re able to get my CD on this day, maybe it can make them happy, or even make them smile. It’s such an unfortunate day. So, sometimes when there’s day like this you need a little sunshine, and it helps.

AllHipHop.com: Which tracks will best sustain the public’s interest in your voice as an MC?

Lil Kim: Personally, the track that I have with Jadakiss, “Real Sick.” There’s a track I have called “Trendsetter.” That track just spoke for my fanbase. At this point, I think I’m going to obtain a lot of new [supporters] to my fanbase. That already has been doing okay, but it’s been going slowly, but surely. I think that “Trendsetter” will obtain the new fanbase. “Real Sick” will satisfy my fans that have been with me from the first part when I started my career.

AllHipHop.com: Hip-Hop has a competitive spirit. Given that you are investing the time to ensure you’re there for your family, how are you learning to balance your profession with your personal life?

Lil Kim: It’s hard, especially now that I have a baby. So, it’s really really hard, but at the end of the day when I look at her, I do it all for her. And that’s what makes me keep going; I swear! I promise you that is what makes me keep going. You know, the industry is so fickle. And sometimes, you know, I’ll think about going in different directions—my mind just gets cluttered and unfiltered.

She keeps me focused. She keeps me in beast mode. So, it’s really her and God. I keep my faith and my focus on my child and God. They’re what keeps me going. At the end of the day she is everything. She’s the most rewarding part of this whole thing. If every trial and every tribulation that I’ve gone through in my career had to get me to having, Royal, I would never trade that with another person.

If someone said, ‘If you could have obtained everything that you ever wanted—and you wouldn’t have gone through all those trials and tribulations—but you wouldn’t of had your child,’ I would have said, ‘Oh well. Y’all can keep that. I would rather go the long hard road and have my baby!’

AllHipHop.com: A large portion of your life has been displayed on center stage. Regarding your maturation as a woman, and as an entertainer, the public has witnessed many of your rites-of-passage. As a mother, what do you most want to teach your daughter?

Lil Kim: As a mom, I would most like to teach my daughter the name of the game which is, respect. And do unto others as you would want done unto yourself. That’s really important. I want her to have a wonderful personality. I want her to be well-mannered. I also want her to go for her dreams, no matter what it is. Unless it’s something that I feel would hurt her.

If it’s something that I think is wonderful, and a positive path for her. [If it’s] something that I know that she really believes in I’m going to support her to the end. I’m going to support her all the way. I never want her to give up on her dreams. I want her to be the best that she can be. I don’t want her to allow anyone to make her afraid of what she can be. I don’t want her to be distracted by any of the haters or by anyone who wants to prevent her from capturing her goals and dreams.

AllHipHop.com: Do you feel a way when people try to distinguish the talent of female MCs from their male counterparts?

Lil Kim: I think a good MC is a good MC. Just like I think good music is good music.

Dane Lawrence – "Seagulls" feat. Nyemiah Supreme

Dane Lawrence drops the bird on Seagulls and gets Nyemiah Supreme for the assist. The track has some repeating horns and some clean chopped samples layered in there that give this song a classic Hip-Hop gritty feel with cool undertones. Nevertheless, this is pure dope.

Killer Mike Says Hawks Owner's Email Was Not Racist

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta Hawks owner Bruce Levenson announced he was selling his share of the NBA franchise after admitting comments he wrote in a 2012 email were racially insensitive.

Levenson apologized for the document which included the co-founder of United Communications Group stating his concern about white residents not attending Hawks games because they were essentially too black.

[ALSO READ: Find Out The History Of Atlanta Hip Hop In New Documentary (VIDEO)]

Levenson wrote in part:

My theory is that the black crowd scared away the whites and there are simply not enough affluent black fans to build a signficant season ticket base. Please dont get me wrong. There was nothing threatening going on in the arean back then. i never felt uncomfortable, but i think southern whites simply were not comfortable being in an arena or at a bar where they were in the minority. On fan sites i would read comments about how dangerous it is around philips yet in our 9 years, i don’t know of a mugging or even a pick pocket incident. This was just racist garbage. When I hear some people saying the arena is in the wrong place I think it is code for there are too many blacks at the games.

Some people have condemned Levenson as a racist. Others suggested that his email was just a business owner reflecting on the marketability of his product to a particular demographic.

Atlanta rapper Killer Mike falls in the second group. The Run The Jewels member told TMZ, while he viewed Levenson’s email as “crass,” the public should not be so quick to use the word “racist.”

“It’s not remotely racist at all. What I read was a business man trying to fill up his seats with the demographic that spends the most money,” said Mike.

He added, “We should save that outrage for a time when it’s really warranted.”
