This is funny. OK, not really. But the fact of the matter is, MC Brainz – the 90’s rapper – JUST heard that Joe Budden “diss” from like 5 years ago. I’m thinking he should be abel to overlook it, because its so old. But, NO…in the video below, MC Brainz is stating that he is going to bust a move on that a### until Budden’s replies! On third thought, this is hilarious.

(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown would rather have an assault conviction on his record than continue with the case. This morning(September 2nd) Brown pled guilty misdemeanor assault of a man outside a Washington, D.C. hotel.

I got a tip from somebody that has charged that Drake is about to get sued. I don’t know if this is real or not but, it warrants a rumor post. In the rumor, the person said that a woman was used on Drake’s album – in some form or fashion – without her consent. They said “the voice and the lyrics.” Now, I am wondering what this really is, to be real. Since I am not a big Drake fanatic, I don’t know the random female voices on his albums. Seems like this singer wants to perform songs that she contributed to and Drake’s camp doesn’t want her. This woman – who is nameless at the moment – will get to talking to blogs and sites like AHH of she doesn’t get paid to keep her trap shut. She’s allegedly been on three Drake albums.
Also, the tipster here says that Drake has done this in the past too and settled lawsuits. All I know is the one from Rappin 4 Tay:
French Montana has the whole world wondering if he’s stepping out with Khloe Kardashian for his own ulterior motives, and considering how much he’s getting paid per show to appear, hell we might would take up that offer too!
Word is Montana worked out a deal with E! in the amount of $25,000 for every episode he appears on; he’s already been on six, according to MediaTakeout.
25K just to play ‘lovey dovey’ for a few, yea, we’ll take it.
(AllHiphop News) Cue Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”. Yesterday (September 1st), Cee Lo Green apologized for comments on the definition of “rape” on his personal Twitter account and subsequently deleted them.
On October 20th, 2013 Cee Lo Green pled not guilty to supplying a woman with ecstasy during a 2012 dinner. The prosecution did not file rape chargers due to insufficient evidence even though the victim claims to having no recollection of spending the night with Cee Lo Green yet waking up in his bed the day after. Cee Lo Green pled no contest to charges of supplying a woman with ecstasy last Friday (August 29th) after Green’s lawyer argued he and the alleged victim had “consensual relations”. Green was sentenced to three years probation with 45 days of community service.
Two days after his plea deal, Green decided to educate his millions of Twitter followers on what constitutes “rape”. While responding to a user on Twitter, Green argued that the lack of evidence of a rape and the fact the victim was has a lack of memory of the events means a rape did not occur:
Another tweet from Cee Lo read “People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!” All of the controversial tweets were deleted. The apology read:
Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context.”
I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it
was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I’d never condone the harm of any women. Thank you.
The tweets, and his account were later deleted. Green’s account, sans the apology is still public.
(AllHipHop News) In the wake of the ongoing protests and national discussion ignited by the killing of Michael Brown by Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson, Dizzy Wright has stepped up to present his thoughts on the subject in both a new song and a new video respectively.
The Funk Volume emcee first tackled the Brown shooting, racism, black-on-black crime, and excessive use of police force on the cut “I Need Answers” featuring Nikkiya.
For Dizzy, his choice to open up about what he sees as racial inequality in this country was not an attempt to provide a voice for his entire diverse fan base. While he says the majority of his multiracial supporters expressed solidarity with his message, his goal was to simply provide his own unique perspective.
“What people don’t understand is that I can’t speak for everybody else. I can only speak about the Black experience,” explains Dizzy. “If I try to paint everyone’s picture that I know nothing about, then I’m not being real to myself.”
Dizzy followed up “I Need Answers” with the visuals for the titled track from his State Of Mind EP. Again the 23-year-old performer used his art to confront relevant social issues.
The Ryan Pinkall directed clip splices images from the news such as footage of a California Highway Patrol officer beating a woman, the militaristic police tactics used against Michael Brown protesters, and various people debating the political action taking place in Ferguson.
“My statement is finding peace with all the chaos in the world. I didn’t know how to make a visual out of that with it being different and people being able to relate to it,” says Dizzy about the “State Of Mind” video. “It’s mainly for people to take from it what they want to, but it’s really for me to stay humble and stay cool through all the s**t that’s going on. I’ve just been inspired by everything that’s going on in the world. We just found a way to make it all make sense.”
President Barack Obama plays a significant role in Dizzy’s video as well. At one point the 2013 XXL Freshmen Class member raps “Y’all feeding off all kind of lies/And these new slaves are mentally traumatized” as a picture of the President giving a speech appears on the screen. But Dizzy makes it clear the juxtaposition of his lyrics and Obama’s face was just meant as a slight jab to the Commander-In-Chief, nothing more.
“It kind of happened to fall into place like that. I wouldn’t say Obama’s telling lies. If you follow politics, there’s some s**t you agree with, there’s some s**t you don’t agree with,” Dizzy clarifies. “We all take things the way we want to take them. For that, I threw a little shade out there, but nothing to the point where I don’t support Obama. I’m just throwing my little shade. It’s about feeling some type of way.”
The State Of Mind EP was just one project Dizzy released this year. He also teamed with Bishop Nehru for the 3-track BrILLiant Youth collaborative EP. After dropping 2012’s SmokeOut Conversations, Dizzy is currently putting in work for his next solo studio album with plans to release it in 2015. He also suggests he is open to partnering with Bishop for another joint effort in the future.
“I always want to double back and work with the people that I already worked with, because it’s a reason that I worked with them. I feel like me and Bishop could double back and touch the world a little better than we did the first time,” says Dizzy.
The Las Vegas native adds, “I’ve put certain music out to get a response. I usually want to know how people feel about Dizzy Wright on certain kind of songs, what really hits home for people. I’m learning the world. Just like how I learned the industry, I’ve kind of learned my fans through 2014. My sophomore album is going to be powerful.”
(AllHipHop News) Saturday Night Live star Jay Pharoah has become known for his various impersonations of celebrities including Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Stephen A. Smith, and President Barack Obama. One of Pharoah’s reenactments at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards did not sit well with the subject.
Pharaoh made fun of Kanye West during the event. The segment included the comedian (pretending to be West) saying he “created television” and his videos “cured ALS.” He also clowned Kanye’s “Bound 2” music video that featured the Hip Hop artist’s wife Kim Kardashian.
Ye spoke about Pharoah’s spoof during his show at the Made In America Festival this weekend.
“We work extremely hard on our craft and what we do with this music… They wanna make a joke about how hard we work,” expressed Kanye. “It’s fine and all funny, but don’t distract from our mission. It’s not a joke what we do up here. This music that we do is not a joke. What we do culturally is not a joke.”
West later told the Philadelphia crowd that he spoke to Pharaoh directly about the VMA bit.
“I called Jay Pharoah right after the MTV awards. I said, ‘I appreciate your show, but let me tell you about my story. Let me tell you about what I went through to get to that position’,” revealed Ye. “I ain’t making it a ‘Black or White thing’ right now, but I’m telling you if you see a Black guy anywhere, he had to work 12 times as hard. So we ain’t gonna have no black comedians going onstage spoofing the people that’s working hard to open doors not only for Black people, but any creatives.”
(AllHipHop News) Death Row Records co-founder Suge Knight was shot 6 times at a Chris Brown hosted pre-VMA Awards party late last month. Photos of bullet holes in Knight’s torso and arm have now made their way online via TMZ.
The shooting took place early August 24 at the 10AK club in Los Angeles. Knight was reportedly released from the hospital about four days after the incident. Authorities have stated that Knight is not cooperating with the police investigation in the matter.
(AllHipHop News) Lil Debbie, founding member of the White Girl Mob, shared her thoughts on two of her female rap counterparts. The California native was asked about Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea in a recent interview, and Debbie had plenty to say about both Billboard charting artists.
After pointing out that commercials that incorporate Iggy’s megahit “Fancy” only use the chorus of the song and not her verses, Debbie states how she would like to see more from the Australian performer.
“It’s kinda like Iggy’s popping now, but you know my thoughts on Iggy – beautiful girl, looks great, stunning. Her voice irritates the f**k out of me,” said Debbie. “I’m waiting for Iggy Azalea to put out one song all by herself that’s a hit. All the way through. With no features. With no singers. With nothing. I wanna hear it. I’m excited. You’re a fine, white b***h and you’re getting shine. So, hold it down for us and put out something really catchy. All the way through. With nobody else on it.”
When it came to Nicki, Debbie contends that she gets more attention over Iggy, but Deb does feel that Nicki’s perceived shot at Iggy over ghostwriting allegations at the BET Awards was from a position of weakness.
“I feel like Nicki did it because she might have felt a little threatened. It made Nicki look a little weaker taking a shot at Iggy. Do we even know if that was really for Iggy? Was it for Iggy? I don’t know,” adds Debbie. “When I saw it I was like, ‘Is she taking a shot at me? Are you talking about me, girl?’ Because not everything is written by you, but it’s cute. I respect it. I think a lot of majority of Nicki Minaj’s s**t is written by her. Probably like 90 percent.”
Debbie actually admits that she does not write all her own lyrics. She then questions why is it acceptable to have writing assistance in other genres of music and not in rap.
(AllHipHop News) G-Unit’s 2014 music run is not over. During a recent interview with Power 106 LA, the crew announced they plan to follow-up their recent The Beauty of Independence project with another EP.
“The Beauty of Independence is the first half and then The Beast is G-Unit is the second half,” reveals the Unit’s leader 50 Cent.
According to the crew, they have already recorded close to 40 songs. Six of those tracks ended up on The Beauty and apparently another round of songs will be released on The Beast.
While 50, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, and Kidd Kidd were able to get back in the studio together, former G-Unit member The Game was left out of the reunion. 50 explained why the Los Angeles emcee was not invited back.
“I wouldn’t do that,” said 50 when asked about Game re-joining the group. “I wouldn’t want to work with him. I did a lot for his project in the very beginning, and it didn’t mean anything.”

(AllHipHop News) Peewee Longway, a rapper in 1017 Brick Squad, was arrested yesterday (Sunday August 31), charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance and first degree possession of marijuana.
He was arrested prior to a performance in Alabama.
Peewee Longway was slated to perform at Club Luxe in Montgomery, AL when police detained him before he could get there.
Some have speculated that the whole ordeal was the result of somebody snitching on the rapper. “Sounded like a set up to me. From what I heard, everybody went to jail,” said a source with xxlmag.com.
