(AllHipHop News) Farrakhan strikes again.
Earlier today, King Louie announced that he and Lil Durk’s feud was squashed. The proclamation was announced during a private meeting held by Minister Louis Farrakahn. Our sources say Durk was also at the meeting and left shortly after its conclusion.
Yesterday (August 17th) Minister Louis Farrakhan addressed the Mike Brown shooting for the first time at The Nation of Islam’s National Center, Mosque Maryam in Chicago. In his speech he compared himself to “a loveley song” in which his message is only temporarily appreciated and not applied:
There’s not a lot for me to say that I haven’t already said. It’s just that you have not been listening. You treat me like a lovely song. “The Minister’s coming out, let’s hear what his song is today.” And after I speak, you applaud, and go back to your crazy way of life.

Personally, I prefer a clear win, because a breakout performance is what takes you to the next level and changes your life. For the fans, it’s def a classic back-and-forth though, because those get debated for years and years which keeps it alive!
Where Do You See Battle Rap Going In The Future?
I hope to see battle rap on television and a lot more established artists hopping in to make it more interesting and help grow the culture. I’d like to see everyone who worked hard to build this get the compensation they deserve when it does blow up and even old legends who don’t battle get staff jobs in this like in wrestling.

(AllHipHop News) No justice, more peace officers. Yesterday (August 19th), Lupe Fiasco proposed an interesting solution to the problem of police brutality in response to Mike Brown’s shooting in Ferguson, M.O.
According to Lupe, Mike Brown’s death “was the product of a system that can be changed” and that protests are only short term solutions. A long term solution proposed by the 1st & 15th MC was for the people protesting in Ferguson to join the same police departments they are protesting against:
1 of 3 The tragic death of Mike Brown was the product of a system that can be changed. Protests & activism satisfy passions for the moment
— Lupe Fiasco (@LupeFiasco) August 19, 2014
2 of 3 Long term goals & solutions must be on the minds of folks so events like this never happen again especially once the news leaves.

(AllHipHop News) Beauty is skin deep, but so are bruises. During a recent interview, Remy Ma explained what sparked her first fight in prison, how she originally did not like Papoose and more.
Remy Ma’s early August release was delayed after she engaged in a fight with a fellow inmate weeks prior that resulted in her staying in solitary confinement. While on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Remy described how her first fight in prison transpired. After stating that the woman looked more manlier than Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy, Remy Ma explains how her slick mouth got her into her first fight:
It was over something so stupid. It was more like I didn’t like her. She asked me “you don’t like me?” I said ‘I think you’re dumb [ugly]. Not I don’t like you.’ That’s what I told her. She was like ‘do we have a problem? I just think you’re really ugly. Would I consider it a problem? No.’ [She said] ‘So, you want to get it in?’ [I said] ‘Well I have eight years more years here. Why not?
Remy admits to the hosts that she has a “guilty until proven innocent” approach to new friends and initially does not like people she has never met. That courtesy extended to Papoose, but once the couple got together, the conjugal visits became complicated:
I was just like, you know, they gave me a lot of time. I know eight years is a lot of time. I don’t know if I’m going to have to do the whole eight years. But, I don’t want you to ever feel burdened with my punishment. He was like ‘As long as you here, I’m here.’ You have to remember that I was able to get trailer visits. They’re like every six weeks, every 42 days. But, then if you get in trouble, or get in a fight, they take it away.

We can imagine its pretty hard having a significant other who posts provocative pics via social media. Its probably even harder to bite your tongue, but from the looks of things Juelz Santana is fed up.

That was a bit of a low blow, considering you knew what you were getting yourself in to when you got involved…

At first Khloe did not listen to her family. BUT MediaTakeOut.com EXCLUSIVELY LEARNED that a couple days later Khloe ALLEGEDLY found freaky text messages & pictures in French Montana phone of Love And Hip Hop NY Tahiry. We’re told that Khloe BROKE IT OFF with French and told him she rather deal with Lamar drug habits then to deal with French cheating habit !!!!!
Now get his . . . Over this weekend French Montana was seen all weekend in Miami with Tahiry. The two were in South Florida for The South Beach Invitational Weekend.”

(AllHipHop News) Racism still alive and they aren’t even concealing it. During a segment on CNN last night (August 19th), journalist Don Lemon shared a story from one of the show’s producer about a soldier of the national guard using a racist epitaphs in Ferguson, M.O.
In less than a week since Michael Brown’s controversial killing last Saturday (August 16th) and the subsequent demonstrations, Ferguson, M.O. has experienced an influx of National Guard officers as well as local law enforcement. Lemon recounted a story from one of his producers about racist remarks made by one of those National Guard soldiers:
I’m just going to be honest with you. Last night, one of my producers said that they — I won’t say if it’s a he or she, because I don’t want to give anyone away — said they came in contact with one of the members of the National Guard and that they said, ‘You want to get out of here because you’re white, because these n-words, you never know what they’re going to do.’ True story. I kid you not. 2014, a member of the National Guard. And my producer doesn’t lie. It is a true story.
Days earlier, Lemon was forcibly moved by a Ferguson police officer during a live broadcast on CNN. During the broadcast, in which Lemon is amongst many protestors, he explains how even the right to peaceful protest is being compromised by the police:
You see why people are so upset here. We’ve been here all day, they moved us here and told us this is our location. They’re doing the same thing to the people. We’re on national television, so imagine what they’re doing to people who you don’t see on national TV. Who don’t have a voice like we do.
Check out Don Lemon recount a story of a National Guard member using the N-word in Ferguson, M.O. below:
(AllHipHop News) The truth is always deeper than The ‘Gram. This past Monday (August 18th), K. Michelle explained the origins of her beef with her once friend Elle Varner and how the label mate stole her identity.
During BET Awards weekend in late June, K. Michelle sent out disparaging remarks towards Elle Varner on her personal Instagram account alleging that Varner was not getting attention from her music. In her interview with Hot 97’s Ebro In The Morning, the R&B songstress accuses Varner of stealing an unreleased song of hers as inspiration for Varner’s single “Cold Case”:
But she played me a record. She said, ‘You like the record?’ I said, ‘That’s my record. Ain’t nobody yodeling on the hooks but me.’ Then you went to the same producers. I came to [her] like a woman. I said, ‘This is my record. You can’t put that out. That sounds like me.’ [She copied my style.] But I said it to you as a friend in a proper manner. I said it to management in a proper manner.
Michelle stated Varner “wanted attention because we don’t give a f–k about that India.Arie a– music.” Another point of contention between the two singers was a shared interest in Meek Mill:
I did have a crush on Meek. We do that. You know that as my friend, me and Meek do this. You get on Twitter and say, ‘Yeah Meek tried to talk to me and I swerved him.’ Okay, why would you do that to your friend? But I’m the crazy one. I’m the mean one.

(AllHipHop News) Bobby Shmurda’s YouTube smash “Hot N***a” and the associating dance has gotten a co-sign from Jay Z, Beyoncé, Meek Mill, and others. The success of the Jahlil Beats produced track even led to the Brooklyn native securing a deal with Epic Records, but not everyone is praising Shmurda and his hit single yet.

During an interview with AllHipHop.com, DJ Statik Selektah explained why he is not quick to jump on the Bobby Shmurda bandwagon. The creator of the recently released What Goes Around album plans to wait and see if Shmurda can consistently release long-lasting, high quality music.
Statik said about “Hot N***a”:
I don’t knock anyone else’s hustle if they’re trying to put on for New York, but to me that’s like a flash in the pan right now. If Bobby Shmurda makes a career out of that, and he makes real music then I’ll be impressed, but right now I haven’t really heard anything original that’s really impressed me.
His single is cool, but it’s a freestyle to me. I understand the dance and all that, but let’s see if he’ll make some music that will last a couple of years. We’ll see. I hope he does. I hope everybody makes good s**t. But I felt like it was a Chicago type of thing when I first saw it.
We’ll see what he does with it. That’s not really what I’m rocking with though. We got our own thing going on. [“Hot N***a”] is a fun record. You play it in the club, people do the dance. To me, that’s – I don’t want to say a gimmick, there’s just a catch to it. What happens when you take that element out? Is he going to put out a real good record? We’ll see. I hope so.

(AllHipHop News) An article posted on the satirical website The News Nerd claiming The Notorious B.I.G.’s son CJ Wallace was engaged to a man has been circulating on the Internet. The article is obviously untrue, but people have been sharing the post on social media causing others to believe the story is factual.

The rumors of Wallace being gay began after he posted a picture to Instagram of him hugging a friend from behind during his high school graduation. The News Nerd created a fake article based on the speculation online that Biggie’s boy recently came out of the closet.
The site runs a disclaimer on the bottom of the page that reads: “The stories posted on TheNewsNerd are for entertainment purposes only. The stories may mimic articles found in the headlines, but rest assured they are purely satirical.” There is no clear mention in the article itself that the story is fabricated.

Wallace used his Twitter account to address the News Nerd piece. Read his posts below:
This is not the first time someone connected to Hip Hop has been the subject of a fake news story that was circulated as real. Last year The Daily Currant ran a satirical article quoting Kanye West referring to himself as “the next Nelson Mandela.”
The former South African president had recently died, and many people online blasted Kanye for what they perceived as blatant disrespect toward the iconic anti-apartheid revolutionary, not knowing the Daily Currant article was completely untrue.

So much tension was in the air…the people were peaceful..I’ve never experienced police terrorism so close up. . We weren’t allowed to stand still. Any small move and it was an excuse to attack the people. It’s planned. The rifles are out for no reason. When people began to leave the police began closing in. Everyone was running then they pulled out their guns and made us all lie down on the ground…when we ran with hands up they wld scream “I got one” like we were dogs…this is a PEACEFUL night in Ferguson. It’s difficult to articulate how we all feel. This is American terrorism. Our beautiful babies are out here…they need us. These cops are trigger happy. You can see their disdain for us. You can feel it….Its traumatic.. It’s sad..it’s 2014.
