(AllHipHop News) Fans of Harlem-based Hip Hop collective Dipset have been hoping for a formal reunion of the crew for years. While there is currently no new music from the Diplomats, three original members Cam’ron, Jim Jones, and Juelz Santana did get together over the weekend at Bamboo nightclub in Miami.
The trio hosted the Prestige Sundays event, and according to reports Cam and Jim performed a few tracks for the crowd. It has been more than five years since Dipset has released a full project together, and at the moment another Diplomatic Immunity or More Than Music does not seem to be on the way anytime soon.
During a recent interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Cam’ron talked about why a future Diplomat album is not likely to happen in the near future:
Everybody’s doing something and it wouldn’t be genuine. We could all go to the studio for two or three days and give y’all an album but it wouldn’t be genuine like with the Diplomat movement. You watched some guys or some kids grow from not really having too much to being really successful, so a lot of our fans grew with us. So if we can’t sit down together for a month or so, not saying everyday, and get it right, it would be fake and nobody wanna give y’all fake music.
Cam did recently release his own mixtape Ghetto Heaven Vol 1. The 19-track tape has been downloaded over 100,000 times at Datpiff.com.

(AllHipHop News) During a recent Self Made 3 Listening Session at Circle House Studios, rapper Rockie Fresh of Maybach Music took a moment to speak with AllHipHop.com about appearing on his first retail release and how he plans to follow-up.
“[It’s] amazing bro, there were ni**as in Chicago telling me I’d never be on the racks. I favorited some of them too, in 2010 when ni**as told me I’d never be in stores,” Rockie Fresh told AllHipHop.com. “[It’s amazing] for me to have my first time being in stores with my big homies Rozay, Meek Mill, Wale, Stalley, Omarion, Young Breed, Fabolous, Gunplay, the list goes on.”
Rockie also touched on jumping on Meek’s “Dreams & Nightmares” tour, which provided invaluable experience to the budding MMG rapper.
“Touring with Meek on the Dreams & Nightmares tour was a super dope experience, mainly because every show was sold out,” Rockie Fresh told AllHipHop.com. “Meek already got his fan base, he’s already popping…me being a member of the squad it was a real good look. I viewed it as a privilege. He was going to sell out if he didn’t have nobody opening for him. For him to give me that look and me to get my fans up, it was a blessing.”

(AllHipHop News) Being one the biggest selling girl groups of all time and having intriguing personal stories is a combination for a hit TV movie. VH1’s CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story brought in big ratings for the network on Monday night.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the biopic about the 1990’s R&B trio had 4.5 million total viewers. That number is the highest Neilsen rating for VH1 in five years. It was also the highest rated original movie in the network’s history. The program generated 1.9 million tweets during its airing making it the most tweeted show of the night.
The film chronicled the careers of T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chilli and starred Drew Sedora, Lil Mama, and Keke Palmer. The movie took its title from the name of the group’s diamond selling second album CrazySexyCool.
TLC also released the compilation album 20 as an accompaniment to the movie. The project features some of their hits like “Waterfalls,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty.” 20 also contains the brand new song “Meant To Be” composed by Ne-Yo.

The word on the street is that somebody is planning to write a tell all book on TLC that will represent some of the other sides to the drama. See, what had happened was, there was a movie the other night on VH1. And, there was another girl before Chilli in TLC – her name was Crystal. Crystal Selene Jones. Word out there is that Crystal is considering dropping a full BOOK to talk about her side of the story. Basically, they are saying that Crystal refused to sign the contract that the rest of TLC complained about for the whole movie. Basically, this means she was smart, but how smart? Not so sure. I’d venture to say that even though they got completely jerked based on their success, T-Boz, Chilli and Left Eye (RIP) are better off than they started out. BUT, I DIGRESS.
StraightFromTheA.com takes this a step farther and they posted pics to prove the validity of her claims.
Crystal took it to Twitter:
It seems that TLC is the brainchild of Ian Burke, Crystal and Rico Wade of Organized Noize fame, but since homegirl didn’t sign on the line, she got cut outta the deal. Sounds fishy! From what I understand, she considers T-Boz and Left Eye (RIP) as backstabbers for continuing on. And they just added another C, which was Chilli.
SPEAKING OF BRAINCHILD – PEBBLES…
Pebbles – who takes credit for bringing TLC to us fans – caught the biggest L last night. For those that don’t know, Peebles is a 90’s singer, turned executive. She was married to L.A. Reid before he cut off his curl and mustache. Pebbly Poo went ballistic. On Twitter, as she was portrayed as a backstabbing, lying, conniving, thieving – but beautiful – record label owner. “I am in shock listening to all this mess and lies on this radio interview!! This is madness!!!” she said on Twitter. “It’s SO hard to believe this! DO NOT believe…Not going to comment about this anymore on here UNofficially. Dealing with this though.”
Pebbles is reported to be looking into her legal options.

The New Orleans rapper plans to use his latest work to give back to those in need in another way as well. Proceeds from sales of The Gift will help fund No Limit sponsored holiday toy drives.
“As I get better with time, the man upstairs has blessed me and continues to give me the inspiration to share my talents or should I say my GIFT with my current and new fan base of music consumers of all ages and ethnic backgrounds across the world”, stated P. “With the holidays approaching and the economy being the way it is, many families will be unable to buy gifts for their loved ones and that’s why I want to give everyone THE GIFT. Most importantly, I will be able to use my gift of music to help give back to underprivileged kids in many communities, and give them a chance to receive Christmas gifts that they would normally not be able to afford. It is my hope that this will encourage other artists to join me in this movement.”
Master P’s The Gift will be released December 6th. Each limited edition will also be personally signed by Master P.

(AllHipHop News) Master P has sold over 75 million records and now the No Limit Records soldier is looking to sell some more with his new album, The Gift.
The move follows several mixtapes, but the rapper moguls say he’s looking to take a new era over, like the 90’s.
“As I get better with time, the man upstairs has blessed me and continues to give me the inspiration to share my talents or should I say my gift with my current and new fan base of music consumers of all ages and ethnic backgrounds across the world,” Master P told AllHipHop exclusively.
The New Orleans native also said that he would be giving out actual gifts through a toy drive in conjunction with the release of the album.
Master P said he will personally sign each physical copy of The Gift. Lastly, one special copy of The Gift will contain a $10,000 lottery ticket that will raffle off a winner on December 23, right before the Christmas holiday.
This is taking it back to the essence of independence and needed promotion,” said No Limit VP of marketing J-Tweezy.
“It amazes me that the concepts of realness and independence in hip hop doesn’t seem to exist anymore. This record will surely be reality for the fans that have been yearning for the return of the real King of the Streets,” Tweezy said.
The opus is set for a December 6 release.
It looks like Cornel West might be right when he said Oprah lacked “political courage,” but its different. This is big business. It seems like Oprah has opted out of politics all together. She helped Obama get elected with her mighty force of influence, but she also suffered a backlash too. Many of the soccer mom set is comprised of Republicans. They didn’t like when Oprah tried to have some courage! And, the word is it affected her network that was, at that time, in the sh***er. Now, its back and the word is Oprah won’t do anything to mess that up!
Fast forward to present day politics.
Obama has recently rallied a bunch of people in the entertainment sect (what sect? Did I say sect?) and asked them to vouch for Obamacare aka the Affordable Care Act. Alicia Keys stepped up. Jennifer Hudson stepped up. I stepped up. Oprah? NO. She straight up said NO. Its seems that O said she didn’t have time. We know that’s not true! She was partying with Kanye and Diddy at Jimmy Iovine’s house! Some folks – namely an insider named Ed Klein – says that Obama and them double-crossed Oprah. They were allegedly supposed to give her insider access and info for her OWN Network and they didn’t. Also, they charge that she was disappointed that Big Obama didn’t live up to the promises he made in 07-08! Sounds pretty serious to me! Ultimately, Oprah sent a rep on her behalf, but that means nothing!

Neil McArdle is the star in today’s episode of Epic Fail of the Day. The British man forgot to book the venue for his wedding and instead of informing his fiancee or their guests, he faked a bomb threat. In the age of post 9/11, I’m not sure why he thought that was a good idea because now he’s going to jail.
Via Associated Press:
Neil McArdle called Liverpool’s St. George’s Hall from a phone booth on his scheduled wedding day in April, claiming a bomb was due to go off in 45 minutes.
His fiancee, Amy Williams, was left standing in the street in her wedding gown while the building was evacuated.
McArdle was arrested and admitted that he made the call because he had forgotten to fill out the paperwork for the wedding.
He was sentenced to 12 months in jail but the good news is that the couple is still together.

What the hell is going on with the Internet generation? Anyway, Two freshman students at Etowah High School in Woodstock, Ga. are facing criminal charges after they allegedly had oral sex in the school cafeteria Thursday. Mind you, this wasn’t an off time in the cafeteria, there were other people around.
Via Huffington Post:
“A female student allegedly made a sexual offer to a male classmate during lunch,” school spokeswoman Barbara Jacoby told the network. “The male classmate later told administrators that he thought this offer was a joke, but when the female student began to act upon it, the male student said he stopped her.”
Jacoby said the girl made the offer because another boy “dared” her to do so. Six other male students reportedly blocked other students and staff members from seeing what was going on.
“They stacked up a bunch of books and book bags and people surrounded them so that nobody would see,” student Taylor Powell told WSBTV.
But people did see it because it was recorded. There are conflicting reports. One person said that two boys filmed it but deleted it shortly after because they realized they could face criminal charges (child pornography). However, another student said that it was distributed. I’m going with the latter report because, how else would such a “carefully guarded” incident get out there to this magnitude? SMH.

Mona Scott-Young has confirmed that we can expect a Love & Hip-Hop Expansion to another city after all the rumors we’ve been hearing. Necole Bitchie caught up with the mogul and asked what was what. She responded with this:
“Of course New York starts up again October 28, so I am excited about that, and I am casting in a few other cities. There’s been a lot of chit chat on the interweb about that. I’m looking at L.A., I’m looking at Houston, looking at New Orleans. Yeah, we’re going to find another city to spread our wings into.”
She’s playing coy but we know she’ll go with the cast that has the most ratchet potential. I’m thinking it might boil down to New Orleans.
In related rumors, Karruechee Tran says she won’t be a part of Love & Hip-Hop LA.
