Rapper and actor Childish Gambino known in TV land as Donald Glover, has snagged a TV heavyweight for his new mixtape, Royalty. Definitely showing his clought in Hollywood, Childish has a feature from A-list actress, Tina Fey!
Tina Fey is the writer and creator for the NBC hit show, “30 Rock” – and the funny woman can now add rapper to her long list of talents. Fey is featured on a Childish track called “Real Estate”, where she raps, “Yeah, we in here, we in this thing/ Gambino is forever, royalty is forever.”
“We balling so we f*ckin’ up the hardwood homie, this is the life we live son/ My president is black and my Prius is blue muthaf-.”
Fey keeps it real and shows that she’s a bit smarter than actress Gweneth Paltrow, who got a ton of backlash for tweeting the N-word on her Twitter account. Check out what Fey rapped below:
“This is the part where most people would say something crazy and drop the n-word after it / Not going to. Not gonna do that. I Don’t feel comfortable!”
Check out the entire track below (scroll to the end to hear Fey):
G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, Cruel Summer, isn’t the only album you will hear Kanye West on this year. We hear that Yeezy is currently working on a new album – his own!
According to West’s long time producer, No I.D., Kanye is working on his sixth studio album that will be released right after Cruel Summer.
“I’m not working on that [Cruel Summer] album, I’m working on his album,” he cryptically told MTV News.
“This is Kanye. You know what to expect from the family. He hasn’t missed yet, so don’t expect him to miss.”
One thing’s for sure, No I.D. is confident that Kanye will once again deliver. “It’s what you expect and everything you don’t expect,” he said. So what type of music do you expect from Yeezy?
(AllHipHop News) Yung Berg took a moment to speak to AllHipHop.com about his most recent mixtape “Chicago Redemption.”
According to Yung Berg, the 22-track mixtape has amassed over 100,000 downloads since its release in early June.
“I just started making records and I was like I really wanna go back to Chicago, it had been four years,” Yung Berg told AllHipHop.com. “I’m just use to flying my family out (for holidays). I got in the studio and the records just started happening at a rapid pace.”
The Chicago-native lined up a variety of local acts for “Chicago Redemption,” which features Twista, Do or Die, Naledge, Paypa and a crop of new Chicago artists.
But Yung Berg, who got his start in part with Chicago label Infared Music Group (the same label that houses L.E.P. Bogus Boys), left the city in 2008.
During interviews at the time, the climate in Chicago had apparently turned against Berg, who at the time, was only working with acts like his brother Cap-One or veteran group Do or Die.
The same year, L.E.P. Bogus Boys released a diss record titled “We Ain’t Finna Play” against their former label mate.
Yung Berg has returned to the city with a positive outlook, thanks in part to the success of “Chicago Redemption.”
“I’m in a different vibe, I’m a producer, a song writer and I’m also an artist. There was a point where I was like ‘I might not even have to spit’ but the love of the game is just everything and i am feeling like I’m really good.”
Yung Berg’s newest artist Mia Rey is also planning a new EP set to release titled Perfect Timing on August 2.

Happy Friday, my stubborn and persistent!
Welcome to the end of a great week and the beginning of your glorious comeback! If I said this once, then I said this twice…. There is absolutely nothing in this universe that can stop you but you!! And if for some reason you don’t believe this as true, then it’s that very thought process which is at the root of your problems!
Any setbacks that you’ve experienced or may be experiencing are simply a setup for your comeback! Come back stronger! Come back more resilient! Come back knowing that the only time you fail is when you give up! You can sit around and find excuses, or you can get up and make your dreams happen! You can die a coward, not ever attempting to live in bliss, or you can live out your every dream and aspiration!
All of life is a choice, and only those who have chose to be the best, no matter what circumstance they’re in, have chosen wisely. Come back from your setbacks!! Your Greatness awaits!!!!!

The sites, social networks, and talk around town, any town for that matter, have been engulfed in the drama filled reality show, “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta.” So many raw topics are being brought to the forefront. Many find it degrading, but many more, entertaining.
You don’t have to watch the show to be able to give a complete rundown of what goes on weekly. So many people discuss it, you couldn’t avoid it if you tried. The same was true when the show was in New York. Viewers saw money, power, sex, lies, and lots of scandal, centered comfortably around the world of music. Is there any responsibility that Hip-Hop should bear?
The entertainment world is just that – for entertainment, but when it’s portrayed, exaggerated, or just plain extra on television, sources have to be pinpointed.
It isn’t as though rap is the only genre of music that touches on the many vices of the world. But it is also no secret that Hip-Hop stays in the spotlight for lacking kid-friendly verses, and isn’t exactly the top choice when it comes to uplifting women.
It could be that the overt raunchiness that’s long been celebrated on the airwaves and stages has made it to television. Entities should be appreciated for the differences they offer. Urban music has a place in the world. It’s not about changing content completely – after all that’s what makes music what it is. But it is about understanding the pros and cons of what’s put out. This could possibly be a spin-off from the negative parts.
We haven’t been blessed with a big urban love song from a rap artist in a while. It seems as though the lyrics go one way, and TV seems to intentionally follow. There’s a saying that you get more of what you put out…
In that case, Hip-Hop could use some more love.

The fact that there were politics surrounding this release shouldn’t dissuade fans from giving this free album a play. Never mind the fact that 50 Cent just dropped The Lost Tape (which, with the exception of one song, had all new material on it), or that he released The Big 10 at the end of last year. 50 keeps it moving and strikes quickly with 5 (Murder By Numbers), a free album that has the idea of a Curtis Jackson retail album sounding better and better.
There are only 10 tracks here, but the production is top-notch, as 50 secured Focus, Hit-Boy, Havoc, DJ Pain 1, and more to make this sound good on the surface. 50 also keeps things interesting throughout Murder by flipping his delivery and presentation. Whether he’s going back and forth with Hayes on “Business Mind”, sharing the spotlight with Kidd Kidd on “Roll That Sh*t”, or enticing his girlfriend to turn another girl out on “Be My B*tch” (yes, you read that correctly), it’s all 50 Cent to the core. Even at the end as 50 addresses a few of his old habits and contradictions alongside a surprise TDE representative (“Can I Talk To You”), he suddenly turns into the trash-talking 50 that was missing from the other songs. No element of 50’s character is left untouched here, and it makes for an enjoyable ride.
Unfortunately, that serves up a familiar fault as well; a couple of the hooks are as repetitive as we’ve heard on past projects, and 50’s still over-singing at times (“Definition of Sexy” is a prime example of this). The content here also isn’t for everyone, as 50 taps into his explicit side when talking about his sexual endeavors – but he’s never been one to shy away from that as evidenced by previous songs and collaborations such as Missy Elliott’s “Work It Remix”, Lil’ Kim’s “Magic Stick”, and his own “Candy Shop.” Aside from the upped raunchiness on “Be My B*tch” (which is, ironically, executed almost perfectly and made far too catchy to let younger kids hear), 50 Cent has delivered another solid project that shows his consistency. As long as the passion matches the output, it should be fun to see what he does next.

Biz Markie is a legend. Nearly 25 years after his debut album, Goin’ Off, was released, the man behind records like “Just A Friend”, “I’m Biz Markie”, and “I’m A Ugly N*gga (So What)”, is still going strong.
With his recent appearance on MTV2’s “Hip-Hop Squares” and recurring role on the children’s show, “Yo Gabba Gabba,” which airs on Nick Jr., Biz is no stranger to the world of television. He hinted at a number of new projects in the pipeline, one of which is a reality show that he says “has never been done before.”
Outside of television, Biz is currently working on his sixth solo studio album, which he said will feature him, the rapper-turned-DJ-turned-all-around personality mostly doing what he calls “bugged-out singing.” The album will feature Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, and hopefully Method Man, who was behind-the-scenes as the interview took place.
Biz also spoke to AllHipHop.com about what he feels the current role of the DJ is, and what type of equipment he’s using today. Check out our exclusive interview with Biz Markie below:

(AllHipHop News) After pushing back his independently released album a couple of days from its original July 3 date, 50 Cent has made good on his promise to drop a brand new album worth of material for free in the form of 5 (Murder By Numbers).
As 50 mentioned earlier this week, 5 (Murder By Numbers), is an “appetizer” for his final Interscope album, Street King Immortal, which will be released this November. 50’s 10-track album features appearances from artists Kidd Kidd and Brevi and production from the likes of Focus, Trax, Hit-Boy, Havoc, Mr. Colt 45 and more.

(AllHipHop News) There is an interesting story behind the artwork for 2 Chainz’ Def Jam debut, Based On A T.R.U. Story, and how exactly it was created.
In an exclusive interview with Billboard, 2 Chainz revealed that he enlisted the help of Kanye West’s design and creative company, DONDA, to create the artwork which simply features a black background and two gold chains.
“Kanye and I share a similar vision and think along the same lines creatively,” 2 Chainz told Billboard. “When it came time to develop the imagery for my project, I trusted him and his team at DONDA to get the job done and communicate my sentiments. They were the first people I thought of.”
“Their team is unprecedented,” he continued. “Expect next level imagery, sonics, and stage performance. This is curated art. The Louvre of rap.”
2 Chainz can currently be heard on the last verse of G.O.O.D. Music’s platinum-selling single “Mercy” from the collective’s Cruel Summer compilation due in stores on August 7.
The first single from 2 Chainz’ debut, “No Lie” featuring Drake, currently sits at #6 on the “Hip-Hop and R&B” chart. His album is set for release on August 14.
