Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Bow Wow The Next Host of “106 & Park”??

Bow Wow came up in the golden age of “106 & Park”, and he was even know as Mr. 106 & Park at one time because of all his accomplishments and appearances on the show. Well, according to my girl Jasmine, over at The Jasmine Brand.com, Bow Weezy will be picking up the mic and taking Terrence J’s place as the male host of “106 & Park”.

Since Bow Wow’s career has sort of stalled, and he’s not all that happy with his Cash Money record label, I can see this rumor being true. I think it would be a good look for Bow Wow. It will give him an opportunity to reconnect with his fans, he will get that daily exposure, AND he can force us to watch his videos anytime he wants!

So, what do you think? Is this a good look for Bow Wow?

EXCLUSIVE: Rappers Shine At 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards

(AllHipHop News) The Hip-Hop community descended upon Atlanta for the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The awards ceremony was held at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, where stars like 50 Cent, T.I., 2Chainz, B.o.B, Pusha-T, Meek Mill, Wale, Los and Rakim strolled the red carpet.

Presenters included RZA, Trina, Anthony Anderson and others, while comedian Mike Epps hosted the show, opening in a taped skit dressed as Barack Obama.

“Mitt Romney you been talking about me behind me behind my back. You want to take away healthcare that the s**t I don’t like, Mitt Romney can’t hold me back,” Mike Epps said.

He then appeared live on stage dressed as Beethoven, complete with a real opera singer dressed in a Viking hat.

Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa opened the show with a performance of his song “Work Hard, Play Hard,”

Other performers during the evening included Meek Mill, Rick Ross, 2Chainz T.I., Future, Los, Diddy, French Montana, MGK and others.

The first of the three Cyphers during the night included one hosted by T.I. that include Trae Tha Truth, Chip, Iggy Wiz Khalifa and Juicy Azalea, B.oB. and T.I.

RZA hosted the second Cypher, which featured Angel Haze, Joey Badass, Driicky Graham, Childish Gambino and A$ap Rocky.

DJ Premier hosted Cyphers that included Astro, Lil Chuckee, Lil Waah, Jean Grae, Sarkodie, Ab Soul, Talib Kweli, Hopsin, School Boy Q, Mac Miller, Tito Lopez, Brianna Perry, Relly, Fame, K’La, Corey Masson, Kosha Dillz, The Kid Daytona, and others.

T.I. presented Rakim with the I Am Hip-Hop Icon Award.

“It’s hard in the business when the family has to share you with the world so I thank you,” Rakim said. “Thank you to Kool Herc and Bambaataa. To get this love is a blessing and words can’t express how I feel about these accolades.”

A humbled 2Chainz won the People’s Choice Award, which was a big deal to the Atlanta native.

“Last year they wouldn’t let me on the other side of the rope and this year I couldn’t get them all done,” 2Chainz said. “If it can happen to me it can happen to you.”

LL Cool J introduced artists in a moving tribute to Chris Lighty, which featured Q-Tip, Phife and Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Funkmaster Flex, Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe and 50 Cent, who put aside their differences and shared the same stage together.

Winners in the Track of the Year, Video of the Year, Hustler of the Year and other categories are expected to be announced when the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

The show ended rather abruptly, when 8 officers entered the building and headed toward the front stage, leaving the majority of spectators confused.

The 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air October 9 on BET.

Sydney Lace’s BET Hip-Hop Awards Predictions – Will 50 Cent And Fat Joe Perform Together?!

Tonight, the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards will be taped at the Atlantic Civic Center, and I decided to add my two cents in on the topic. I present you, my loyal rumor followers, with my Top 5 Predictions for the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Prediction #1: 50 Cent and Fat Joe will end their long standing feud onstage at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. I predict that the two rappers will shake hands, hug, and kiss on the cheek (think 50 and Game) during a special tribute for their late manager, Chris Lighty.

Prediction #2 – With 17 nominations, there is no way Yeezy is going to pass on attending the awards, right?! We definitely expect to see him in all of his glory. Well, that is unless Kim Kardashian has another reality or QVC show taping.

I predict that Yeezy will win at least 10 awards and will give an epic acceptance speech for each win. “I wanna thank BET, but the MTV VMAs are the best award show of all time!”

Prediction # 3 – Although the show is not scheduled to air until next Tuesday, October 9 at 8/7c, I predict that the taping of the show will take up at least half of the trending topics on Twitter tonight. Expect Twitter and Instagram to be filled with celebrity photos backstage, rumors of awkward run in’s – think Chris Brown and Drake at the VMAs part II.

Prediction #4 – Rick Ross, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa are all slated to hit the stage tonight. I predict Rick Ross will finally put a shirt, Meek Mill will have half of Philly on stage with him, 2 Chainz’s outfit will cost more than BET’s stage show, and Wiz Khaifa will give Amber Rose a live sonogram onstage!

Prediction #5: Mike Epps will stutter more times than the amount of Rihanna audience shots at the VMAs. Expect Epps to be funnier than Kevin Hart hosting the VMAs and a lot less PG.

But of course, I can not forget about the most popular part of the awards show – the cyphers! This year’s cypher participants representing the East Coast, West Coast, and Down South include: DMX, Snoop Dogg, and T.I., Eve, A$AP Rocky, Cassidy, Mystikal, Talib Kweli, B.O.B., and more. Make sure you check out “Cypher Replay,” an exclusive behind the scenes, two-part special airing at 8PM on BET on October 1 and 2.

Hip-Hop Rumors: FLICKS – Did Jay-Z Bring Out A Biggie Hologram At Barclays?

You didn’t believe Hov when he said he wasn’t going to have any special guests during his eight-show stint at Brooklyn’s new Barclays Center, did you?

RELATED: Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay-Z Says He Wants To be Selfish – He Ain’t Sharing The Stage

The most famous man in rap music held his opening show at the stadium he helped built last night for over 19,000 adoring fans, including his wife Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, Memphis Bleek, Bow Wow, and Dave Chappelle. After announcing yesterday that he would have no guest appearances, Jigga either lied or had a change of heart last minute, and welcomed Hip-Hop legend Big Daddy Kane on the stage with him.

Kane went on to perform his rap classic “Ain’t No Half Steppin'”, “Set It Off”, and “Warm It Up Kane”. For those that don’t know, Big Daddy Kane was one of the first people to help Jay out in music and put him on his 1994 single, “Show & Prove”.

So, to answer the B.I.G. question – did Jay-Z really bring out a Biggie Smalls hologram in Brooklyn??? Jay did do a tribute to Biggie Smalls, but it was not a hologram Biggie, but a high-tech screen showing his image. So,to answer the headline question, no – it was not a hologram a la Tupac at SXSW. How epic would that have been, though!?

Jigga unleashed a never before heard verse last night that had the crowd going crazy. Check out the new verse and the video below:

“This is Rich Porter, part two. You can stunt like that when you rich before your debut. Money and the murder, rapper or the trapper…either way I’m gone serve you. Shooters on my team, NO REALLY I GOT SHOOTERS on my team….Juan or Deron, how you ni**as want it? pick a arm, they call me Lucky Lefty. Ball so hard I don’t respect the fu***ng referees.”

Beyonce watched the show from Barclays’ VIP D’USSE Riser before joining her husband backstage for a congratulatory toast with friends.

Afterwards, the power couple stopped by The 40/40 Club in Manhattan, where Jay-Z continued the celebration with D’USSE Cognac bottle service and a close crew, including Irv Gotti, Memphis Bleek, Nets Player Jerry Stackhouse, Dave Chappelle, Lil Bow Wow, and more. Check out a few photos from the afterparty below:

MTV’s RapFix was in the house last night and got some great footage of Jigga performing, you can check that out below:

The Game turned Lil Wayne’s 30th birthday bash into an impromptu fight club when he got into a brawl with another rapper and had to be kicked out of the club … and TMZ obtained the video.

Sources at the party tell TMZ … Game was in Hollywood Thursday night with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston and the b-day boy himself. We’re told Game was allegedly minding his own business when rapper 211 approached and, according to our sources, started talking smack.

We’re told things escalated and the smack-talking turned into an all out fight  … which ended with Game allegedly punching 211.

TMZ obtained video just seconds after the fists stopped flying and you can see the two rappers still going at it as security guards rush in to break them up. We’re told after security got a hold of the situation, Game was kicked out of the event.

Sources tell us the rappers have had a beef for awhile and that’s what led to the altercation in the first place.

Game, 211 Brawl During Lil Wayne’s Birthday Party In L.A.

(AllHipHop News) Lil Wayne’s birthday party was interrupted by a long-running feud between rapper Game and 211.

According to TMZ.com, the two rappers were involved in an argument that escalated into an all out brawl, during Lil Wayne’s 30th birthday party late Thursday, early Friday morning.

The rappers were at a Hollywood nightclub celebrating with artists like Chris Brown and Sean Kingston, when 211 allegedly approached Game.

Things quickly escalated and Game allegedly punched 211, causing a fight to break out.

Security guards contained the melee and booted Game from the nightclub.

In late September 2011, 211, who is affiliated with CTE, filmed an attack on rapper Boskoe, who was assaulted by Jomo “Rosemo700” Zambia.

Rosemo700 was also beefing with Game at the time, until Rosemo700 was murdered in broad daylight in November of 2011, during a drive-by shooting in Inglewood, California.
