Adidas To Release ‘Superstar’ Sneaker In Honor Of Jam Master Jay

Adidas is paying homage to the late Jam Master Jay with the release of their “Superstar” sneaker, VIBE reports.

The limited edition kicks will be released on what would have been Jay’s 51st birthday, Jan. 21st, 2016. With a white color scheme, the tongue will boast black and gold with Jay’s name etched into the design. The sneaker is similar to the Pro Model sneakers Adidas released earlier this year, also in Jay’s honor.

Jam Master Jay, a founding member of Run DMC, was shot and killed on Oct. 30 2002 in his studio. His murder remains unsolved.
