(AllHipHop News) Lil Kim has expanded her business dealings in North Carolina, with the opening of a new hair and beauty salon and the launch of a new clothing line. According to reports, Lil Kim, born Kimberly Jones, opened the second Salon Se Swa beauty salon in Charlotte, North Carolina. The pair opened the first location in 2004, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Lil Kim participated in a variety of events throughout Charlotte last Saturday (September 25th), to promote the opening of the latest Salon Se Swa location. Over the weekend, Lil Kim and actress Meagan Goode took part in Charlotte’s “Charlotte, North Carolina Fashion Week,” where she debuted her new clothing line, 24/7 Star: Goddess Collection. The line consists of embroidered dresses, cat suits and other pieces. Incarcerated rap star Lil Wayne recently penned his 7th letter from Rikers Island, where he has been incarcerated for almost a year, for attempted criminal possession of a handgun. In his latest letter to fans, Lil Wayne expressed extreme gratitude towards his fan base for supporting him during his incarceration. The rapper receives about 150 letters a day from fans. He was forced to begin sending them home, because the paper was piling up and causing a fire hazard in his cell. According to Wayne, he is attempting to be patient as his sentence winds down. “Awaiting freedom patiently,” Lil Wayne wrote to fans. “People often ask does the days feel longer now that the time is getting shorter… I say that there’s 24 hours in everyday. But honestly, I can’t f**kin’ wait! Sorry. Anyway, I’m still playing UNO. Still doing pushups and such, by the way, please don’t expect me to come out looking any different. I’m the same little ‘ol me.” Lil Wayne is expected to be released from prison towards the end of October or in early November. Chicago emcee Lupe Fiasco has hinted that he may make an appearance during a planned protest of Atlantic Records, being organized by fans of the rapper. Almost 30,000 people have signed an online petition that began circulating in July, demanding that Atlantic release Lupe’s highly anticipated album Lasers. Fans of the rapper are planning “Fiasco Friday,” a massive demonstration, demanding the release of Lasers by October 15th. Fans will meet at the statue of William Tecumseh Sherman at 59th and 5th and will then march down to Atlantic’s offices on 1290 Avenue of the Americas.
