(AllHipHop News) The Beastie Boys are moving forward with plans to release new music next year, after scrapping their highly anticipated album Hot Sauce Committee Part 1. The Hip-Hop group scrapped the album last year when Adam “MCA” Yauch was diagnosed with cancer of the preaortic gland and lymph nod, last year. Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 was supposed to be released this year, but was put on hold so MCA could undergo treatment. “It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor’s orders,” MCA told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year. “We may or may not [release the album] depending on how my health is come September. We want to but we have to play it by ear…we finished the record over a year ago, so we want to take a look at it and re-evaluate and make sure it is what we want to put out there and that we are still happy with it…”Just recently, the group revealed that they were shelving the album indefinitely, but they will still release Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, in the spring of 2011. While details on the album are scant, the second installment of Hot Sauce Committee is reported to feature a number of guest appearances. Fans of the group are hopeful that The Beastie Boys will be among the final list of inductees to be eligible for nomination to be inducted into the 2010 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The final induction ceremony is slated to take place March 14th at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
