(AllHipHop News) After uploading a trailer for the upcoming She Ball motion picture on October 15, writer/director Nick Cannon released a second teaser for the film. Cannon also stars in the basketball-themed movie.
“She Ball is about community and the inclusive nature of controlling your own background. It’s a story that doesn’t have any boundaries. It’s a sports movie, it’s a love story, and it’s a comedy,” stated Cannon.
Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams’ Cash Money Films partnered with Nick Cannon’s NCREDIBLE to produce She Ball. The cast includes Melody Rae Kandil, Chris Brown, Fasion Love, Evan Ross, Cedric The Entertainer, DC Young Fly, and Hitman Holla.
The creation of She Ball was first revealed back in 2017. Shortly following the announcement, Cannon defended his decision to work with Chris Brown – who is also credited as a producer – against critics that still took issue with the R&B megastar’s 2009 assault against then-girlfriend Rihanna.
“What about Sean Penn? Do they ever hate on his past and the movies he do?” expressed Nick Cannon at the time. “It’s definitely a double standard. They want to turn a black man into a monster anytime they can.”
