Two other rap stars will join the Brooklyn rhymer on the list of the ten best-selling albums this week. J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive is expected to add another 105,000 units, and Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint reportedly pushed an additional 104,000 units. Those totals would put Cole at 4 and Nicki at 5 respectively.

Fabolous’ previous album Loso’s Way debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 99,000 copies in first week sales. With that 2009 LP, Fab is still only one of five New York based rappers to have a number one album since that year. The others include Nicki, Jay Z, Nas, and A$AP Rocky.

      1. No one’s depressed over here homie. I just don’t like it when people poke fun at people who are defenseless. No one is more defenseless than a mentally handicapped child. You really have to be sick to even go there.

      2. “I’m artistic, you niggas is autistic, retarded” from the track Jodeci Freestyle. If I was in the studio when he said that I would have stabbed him in the throat.

      3. It’s in the context of the song. You’re right though. Making fun of mentally handicapped adults is less deplorable. SMH

      4. No, I think you are reaching to make your point more valid because you have something against J Cole. Using children to gain sympathy points is not deplorable? FOH You border on hater.

      5. I have something against him BECAUSE of this. Otherwise, i’d have to admit, he’s usually exactly the type of artist i’d support. Wholeheartedly.

      6. It was ignorant in some way, but it was directed at other rappers. Stretching it to mean he makes fun of mentally challenged children is too much. Its not that serious. If anyone would be offended, it would be me, trust me. He also makes fun of himself, his mom etc.

      7. I’ve worked with mentally handicapped children, mostly autistic. The first time I heard this I wanted to smash his f****** face in with a god damn sledgehammer. I can’t believe you aren’t offended.

      8. Like I said, he was ignorant and trying to rhyme. Nothing serious. To take every word literally is dangerous. I could be as guilty as him for that, and you too. Let it go. You know better. I thought you was cool.

      9. If you did a little research, as easy as a click, you would know Cole apologized for the line. So calm down because of one line where he was trying to be sly.

  4. Fab and Nikki Project were not great… J Cole won because he has a cultural album, without any major single, and promoted through late night appearances.. But should of sold the “Soul Tapes” cause this ” YOUNG OG” showing he trying to have a pop rap album. His best album maybe “LOso’s Way” he still a beast.. Still havent listened to JCOle im not into Def Poetry Rap.. his first two mixtapes were great though
