GloRilla performed at the WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis just hours after police discovered drugs in her Georgia home while investigating a burglary, leading to her arrest on felony charges.
Authorities in Forsyth County responded to a break-in early Saturday (July 20) at a residence registered to the rapper, whose legal name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods. Deputies arrived around 1:30 a.m. and said three intruders entered the property while Woods was away. An unidentified person inside the home reportedly fired at the suspects, who fled the scene. Investigators said they don’t believe anyone was injured.
While searching the home, deputies reported smelling narcotics and later uncovered a “significant amount of marijuana” in a bedroom closet. Woods was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
“The homeowner is a victim of a serious crime, and we are committed to bringing the suspects to justice,” Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman told WSB-TV. “At the same time, we must continue to uphold and enforce the law in all aspects of this case.”

Despite the early morning chaos, GloRilla still took the stage that night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, performing a medley of her tracks “Let Her Cook,” “Typa” and “TGIF” during the WNBA All-Star Game.
She turned herself in at the Forsyth County Jail on Tuesday (July 22) and was released shortly after posting a $22,260 bond. Representatives for both Woods and the sheriff’s office didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
Woods was previously arrested in 2023 on DUI charges in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Woods, who hails from Memphis, rose to prominence in 2022 with her breakout single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” produced with Hitkidd, which achieved viral success and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance.
That momentum led her to sign with Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group, making her the label’s first female signee. GloRilla continued her rapid ascent with collaborations such as the Top 10 Billboard hit “Tomorrow 2” featuring Cardi B, and she has since released critically acclaimed projects including her debut EP, Anyways, Life’s Great and her 2024 album, Glorious.
