Die hard Yeezus followers may not find many new personal details in Beaumont’s work. The Denver Post‘s review reports God and Monster relies on past public statements, and West was not interviewed for the biography.

The Overlook Press release does include the writer analyzing Ye’s lyrics, and the book focuses on his music making process. Beaumont also suggests the “Jesus Walks” performer is a creative genius that has greatly influenced his era of entertainment.
