(AllHipHop News) Vice Media started off as a print magazine, transferred to the web, and eventually became a TV show for HBO. The company is now set to get its own channel. The New York Times reports A&E Networks’ History Channel spinoff H2 is converting to Vice.
While the Emmy winning Vice series on HBO is a 30 minute news show, the channel is expected have non-news content. The Times also adds Chicago rapper/producer Kanye West could be adding a program to the new Vice channel.
West previously wrote and directed the short films Runaway and Cruel Summer. He has also served as a producer for various music videos and the Chris Rock led motion picture Top Five.
