(AllHipHop News) Four years ago, Lupe Fiasco took a stance against voting in the 2012 presidential election. The Chicago rapper declared he would not be supporting Barack Obama nor Mitt Romney. However, Lupe does seem to have a choice in this year’s race for the White House.

The “Battle Scars” spitter did not publicly endorse presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump or Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. Instead Lupe called on retired United States Army general Stanley A. McChrystal to put his name on the ballot.
Dear @StanMcChrystal
We could use your leadership skills in combatting inner-city violence.
Sincerely, LF
PS (please run for POTUS ??)

McChrystal is best known as the commander of US and ISAF forces in Afghanistan in the late 2000’s. He was a proponent of sending more troops to the nation in order to fight the Taliban.
The four-star general was eventually forced to resign his command in Afghanistan after he and his staff were quoted making disparaging remarks about Vice-President Joe Biden, National Security Advisor James L. Jones, and other civilian government officials in a 2010 Rolling Stone article. He officially retired from the army later that year.
McChrystal has not weighed in on the 2016 presidential contest, but he has backed both Republican and Democratic veteran candidates in the past. In 2014, McChrystal expressed he “deeply respected” Clinton as Secretary Of State, but he fell short of endorsing her to take on the role of Commander-In-Chief.
