Melyssa Ford responded to accusations made by Cam’ron in a freestyle on his sports talk show It Is What It Is. Cam’ron claimed Ford reached out to music executives Kevin Liles and Steve Stoute to intervene in her feud with the Dipset rapper.
“A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth even gets out of bed and puts its pants on,” Ford wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). “That [ninja emoji] is lying. I didn’t call anyone to deal with that bullsh**. And he’s still talking about it 6 months later. It’s giving… [thinkin emojis].”
Cam’ron mentioned Ford on the June 3 episode of It Is What It Is. Killa Cam referenced their beef, his infamous CNN interview and much more in a freestyle to open the show.
“Melyssa Ford called Kevin Liles/And Steve Stoute, what they gonna do? I’m Mr. Giles/We good, boo, Killa feeling better now/But don’t ever put my name near the word…” he rapped.
Cam’ron and Ford’s issues stemmed from her comments on a 2023 episode of the Joe Budden Podcast. The video vixen-turned-podcaster insinuated Cam’ron had sex with minors in reaction to a story about him going to a brothel in the ‘90s. Ford later apologized for her remarks.
“I apologize,” she said. “I should never have made that insinuation.”
Cam’ron didn’t accept her apology. He claimed it wasn’t genuine and threatened to sue her for defamation.
