Michael B. Jordan Reportedly Pitched A New Vision For ‘Superman’ To Warner Bros

The star of ‘Just Mercy’ is supposedly interested in the story of Kal-El.

(AllHipHop News) Michael B. Jordan played Marvel’s Human Torch in Fantastic Four and Marvel’s Killmonger in Black Panther. Is the veteran actor ready to try his hand at a DC character on the big screen?

According to Variety, Jordan met with executives at Warner Bros. Entertainment to pitch a new “vision” for Superman. The publication reported that the 32-year-old entertainer did not commit to the superhero movie because filming is not set to begin for several years which could conflict with his other projects.

Christopher Reeve established himself as the quintessential film version of Clark Kent in the Superman franchise from the 1970s/1980s. Brandon Routh played The Last Son of Krypton in 2006’s Superman Returns, and Henry Cavill took on the role in 2013’s Man of Steel.

Michael B. Jordan’s next part comes in the upcoming legal drama Just Mercy via Warner Bros. Pictures. The based-on-a-true-story motion picture also stars Jamie Foxx, Rob Morgan, Tim Blake Nelson, Rafe Spall, and Brie Larson. Just Mercy lands in North American theaters on December 25.
