(AllHipHop News) Rap mogul Russell Simmons has responded to a woman known only as Jane Doe, who claimed he raped her in Sacramento in the 1980’s.
The woman filed a $10 million lawsuit against Russell Simmons, claiming he raped her in a Sacramento, California hotel room and bizarrely claimed he threatened to rape her son too.
Russell’s lawyers just filed legal documents seeking to have the lawsuit tossed, claiming the woman is simply trying to extort him because he is wealthy.
The Def Jam founder also says the Statute of Limitations has passed for her to make any legal complaint since the incident allegedly happened back in 1988.
The woman is the 16th woman to come forward and accuse the rap mogul, entrepreneur, and author of sexual misconduct.
He has vehemently denied all the accusations against him, insisting all his encounters have been consensual.
