Earlier today, (October 8), Tory was charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm.
The D.A. also slapped the Toronto-born artist with a charge for carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in the SUV carrying the rapper, Meg, and their friends.
Tory is also charged with inflicting great bodily injury after Megan was shot in her feet after the disturbance, which took place outside a Hollywood Hills party on July 12.
Megan had to have had surgery on her feet for bullet wounds. Shortly after the shooting, Megan came forward and name Tory as her assailant.
“I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me,” Megan revealed.
“I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night,” Megan Thee Stallion said.
Reports say Tory is already preparing to claim the shooting was an accident.
The charges for shooting Megan is just the latest set back for Tory Lanez, who was once one of the top rapper’s in the world.
Tory is also facing a lawsuit filed by former “Love and Hip Hop: Miami” star, Prince, who maintains the “ChixTape” singer assaulted him in November of 2019 during a party at LIV nightclub.
