Meek Mill Scores The Fourth Largest Debut Sales Week Of 2015

(AllHipHop News) The final first week sales numbers for Meek Mill’s sophomore studio album Dreams Worth More Than Money were impressive. An opening week of 215,000 traditional album sales (246,000 equivalent album units) put the MMG rapper in rare company.

DWMTM has the fourth largest debut sales week of the year. Only Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (495,000), Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly (324,000), and Mumford & Sons’ Wilder Mind (231,000) pulled in bigger tallies in 2015. That also means three of the four top first week sellers were rap albums.

Meek easily took the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The Philadelphia native joins Drake, Kendrick, Big Sean, Wale, and A$AP Rocky as the only rappers to score #1 albums in 2015 so far.

Photos via Monica and Ciara’s Instagram

Hmmmm did close friends Monica and Ciara fall out over Future? Monica has been posting pictures of her wedding on Instagram in celebration of her anniversary. Fans quickly realized that in one photo she didn’t tag Ciara, but she tagged many others. A fan decided to take the time and explain “in her own words” what really went down between Cici and Mo! Monica didn’t completely deny the fan’s claims but she did say she made a lot of assumptions. Monica says she refuses to make a spectacle of the many years her and Ciara shared. So we want to know what really happened. Mo has since deleted the comment and response, but Baller Alert caught it!

Man Impersonating Atlanta Rapper Issa Thompson Arrested For Rape & Sodomy (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The phrase “fake it until you make it” was not meant to apply to impersonating a popular rapper in order to rape women. But that is exactly what 20-year-old Aaron Hall is accused of doing.

According to WIAT, Hall created a fake Facebook page pretending to be Hip Hop performer Issa Thompson. Hall allegedly tricked women into thinking they were conversing with Thompson and then set up meetings with the unsuspecting fans.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama police believe Hall lured the women to a local park where he sexually assaulted and robbed the victims. After cops noticed a pattern, a special detail was established to identify and arrest the suspect. Homicide investigators reportedly prevented another possible attack on Wednesday morning.

Hall was arrested yesterday (July 8) and charged with rape, two counts of sodomy, and robbery. A $200,000 bond was set in the case.

Issa Thompson is a buzzing rap artist out of Atlanta. His recent video “Makaveli” has garnered over 25,000 views on YouTube in three weeks. Issa also has songs with Travis Porter, Jacob Lattimore, and Lil Chuckee. He recently released his latest mixtape This Summer.

No Kids For Meek Mill & Nicki Minaj Anytime Soon?

Photo via Nicki Minaj’s Instagram

It seems like one of Nicki Minaj’s biggest fans over the years, Patrick (@pmbenson33), started a rumor that Nicki Minaj would be pregnant soon. He said he was going on 12 tour dates because the rapper would soon be a mommy. We aren’t sure if he was suggesting that he would try to impregnate Nicki, or if Meek Mill already had. Either way, Nicki was quick to shut it down by saying she wouldn’t be having any kids until she was married. It’s good she didn’t get pregnant by Safaree, and that she’s taking it slow with Meek and doing it the “right” way.

The FBI Is Looking Into How Tyga’s Nude Photos Were Leaked

Tyga has enlisted the help of the FBI to help figure out who leaked a nude photo of him to the internet, TMZ reports. A transgender model named Mia Isabella was rumored to have leaked the picture after Tyga allegedly sent it to her via text, something that Tyga and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, are denying.

“The allegations are false and socially irresponsible during a time when many Americans are celebrating equality,” Hutton told TMZ.

Hutton said that they believe the pictures were hacked from Tyga’s phone or from someone he actually sent the pictures to, which is what the FBI will be looking into. A rep for Isabella said that she denies leaking the photos to the internet and would like to help Tyga find out who actually did it.

Isabella also claims that she has been in a relationship with T-Raww for three years while he was with Black Chyna and currently Kylie Jenner.
