Two other rap stars will join the Brooklyn rhymer on the list of the ten best-selling albums this week. J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive is expected to add another 105,000 units, and Nicki Minaj’s The Pinkprint reportedly pushed an additional 104,000 units. Those totals would put Cole at 4 and Nicki at 5 respectively.

Fabolous’ previous album Loso’s Way debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 99,000 copies in first week sales. With that 2009 LP, Fab is still only one of five New York based rappers to have a number one album since that year. The others include Nicki, Jay Z, Nas, and A$AP Rocky.

Faith Evans Claims 2Pac Asked Her For Oral Sex (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Nearly two decades after his death Tupac Shakur is still being brought up in relation to The Notorious B.I.G.’s wife Faith Evans. The R&B performer spoke with VladTV, and during the interview she claimed that at one point Pac tried to get her to perform oral sex on him.

Faith was recalling her experience recording with 2Pac during the onset of the Death Row/Bad Boy feud. She reiterated her claims she was not aware Pac was associated with the West Coast label at the time. She then went on to address allegations she made in her autobiography that the “California Love” rapper pursued her sexually in order to cover the $25,000 she was allegedly owed for doing the feature.

“In a very surprising and offensive way, for sure. By that time, I think it was pretty clear to me that that was kind of like a plan. Like, ‘You’ve been kind of got,’” said Evans about the supposed offer for oral sex. “I allowed myself to be played and allowed myself to get into this situation, because this is totally not how I operate. That ain’t how I do business and that was never even up for discussion as far as that being an exchange. My whole point for being in L.A. was to be out there making my money. I’m very much about the coins.”

Lord Jamar Says Eminem Is No Different Than Macklemore Or Justin Timberlake

(AllHipHop News) During the recent public discussions about the appropriation of “Black music” by White artists, one Caucasian entertainer closely connected with Hip Hop has relatively gotten a pass. Eminem is regarded by many as one of the greatest to ever pick up a microphone, so his skill set (and his acknowledgement of the history of the culture) usually provides him with cover from accusations he is “stealing” from African-Americans.

Brand Nubian’s Lord Jamar does not think Em should be left out of the conversation. The 25 year Hip Hop veteran tells VladTV that there is no difference between Eminem’s take on Hip Hop than what Macklemore and Justin Timberlake has done.

“He’s doing the same thing that they’re doing. Why not be thrown in with them?” asked Jamar. “What are we saying bad about them? We’re just stating facts. They’re all White people that do Black music. What’s different about him?”

Jamar does recognize that Em is a talented emcee and he studied the culture. Later in the interview, he even states he enjoyed The Slim Shady LP, but for Jamar, the Detroit rhymer is not the most skilled emcee he has experienced.

“He’s good, but at the end of the day, I don’t feel Eminem. Most people that I know don’t feel him,” he added. “Cause he talks some s**t Black people don’t really relate to. I don’t relate to killing my mother and my f**king girl, taking pills, and all this stupid s**t. That’s what a lot of White dudes rhyme about – how far they can take it on the crazy meter… I don’t care technically how good it is… There’s no soul in that s**t.”

Previously Jamar gave another opinion about the comparison between Eminem and Macklemore. In March, he suggested to VladTV that Em winning rap Grammys was not the same as Mack taking home the same trophies.

“Eminem is a different kind of story. He came up worshiping Black emcees. He was the first one that White people were able to look up to and worship,” said Jamar. “But you gotta look at the altar he originally worshiped at. It was the altar of the Black emcee. He did the study.”

Jamar’s most recent sit down also includes him claiming he does not have a problem with Eminem or Macklemore. But the New York rapper/actor does not want to see White artists promoting ideas that he feels are not “customarily acceptable” in Hip Hop.

Arrests Drop After NYPD Implements A "Work Stoppage"

Staging their own protest of sorts, the NYPD is reportedly only offering limited policing in response to the deaths of Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, who they claim were killed as a result of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio showing favoritism towards those advocating for an end to police brutality.

The New York Daily News and New York Post has reported a sharp drop in a variety of low level offenses including drug arrests (down 84%,) traffic tickets (down 94%) and felony arrests (down 44%.) Denying that the continued anger towards the Mayor is the cause, the NYPD has instead cited a concern for their safety as the reason behind the decline in police work.

Seen as being “too soft” on police critics, de Blasio originally rode into office on claims that he would reform law enforcement within the city; following complaints that they relied too heavily on racial profiling and unwarranted “stop and frisks.”
