20 Horrorcore Songs To Bump This Halloween

Mars is one of the bearers of the Horrorcore torch these days. When it comes to Horrorcore, he’s pretty much got it covered. He’s got the movement, the songs, and even the controversy. So, as Halloween descends upon us, we decided to go to this Bay area master of macabre. Oh, we definitely don’t co-sign this crazy music he’s promoting. If you are into it, check hm out at iTunes or Twitter.  And, with that, here is a list of some of the most horrifically insane rap songs with a Halloween swing.

1. Insane Clown Posse – “Sleepwalkers”

I remember when ICP first dropped this single for free at Hallowicked, an annual event they have had in Detroit for the last 20 years on Halloween. Had this on repeat for weeks. A song where Violent J chokes and murders people in his sleep while eating fast food? Genius. Easily one of my favorite ICP songs.

2. A-Wax – “Dead People”

I’m a huge fan of rappers from my area. A-Wax, who runs with Waka Flocka and Brock Squad, put this out on his Nightmare From Elm St mixtape series. I’m happy that there’s from the town that also enjoys rapping about murder and dead things. P-World.

3. X-Raided – “Witta Mask On”

The very first horrorcore song I’ve ever heard was X-Raided’s “Witta Mask on” from his second album on Black Market Records Xorcist. How can you not love this? Rapping over the phone, from prison, being convicted of murder, talking about the craziest s**t? I was hooked. The first record label I was signed to was Black Market Records years later. I even have a track with X-Raided on my Zodiac Mixtape where he raps a alternate version of the first verse of this song. Super f***in dope. Free X-Raided.

4. Kung Fu Vampire – “Dead Girls Don’t Say No”

Kung Fu Vampire is an artist from San Jose, CA signed to my record label Mad Insanity Records. Easily one of the most talented and driven artists doing “big fangs” out of the Bay. It’s Halloween, how can you not want to listen to a song about f***ing dead chicks? This Halloween night, if you’re chilling with a b#### that might not give up the cat, put this song on, and look her dead in the eyes. She may get the hint. She may get a restraining order…

5. Ganxsta NIP – “Horror Movie Rap”

One of the godfathers of the wicked s**t, Ganxsta NIP is possibly one of the strangest human beings I have ever befriended in my life. He is really bat s**t f**king crazy. In real life nuts. Which made working with him all the better. I’m pretty sure he wants to kill me. Signing him at one point in my career has always been a highlight. Props to NIP for teaching me how to be a psycho. With lines like “Woke up with a dead dog on me, so I thought, huh, bologna…” “Horror Movie Rap” has always been one of my favorites. Classic record.

6. K.F. Klik featuring Big Lurch – “Thrilla”

I don’t know who the f**k K.F. Klik is or was, but they are dope as f**k for this one. I came across this song a bunch of years ago searching for Big Lurch tracks on the internet. Big Lurch is in prison right now for wigging out on PCP and eating a his homegirl’s lung, and was arrested booty naked on the streets of LA covered in blood. Need I say more? Instant fan. I was actually his project manager for his album “It’s All Bad” on Black Market Records. When they wouldn’t let me have Pen & Pixel Graphics superimpose him holding a plate full of lungs and human ribs, I quit the label. Anyways, this is one of the hardest horror verses by him out there.

7. Esham – “The Wicked S**t Will Never Die”

East Side Hoes And Money. This is one of the hardest Esham tracks period. This list wouldn’t be complete without a track from Detroit Acid Rap pioneer’s 1994 album Closed Casket. The entire album from beginning to end is the s###. In fact, I would say this was one of the dopest years for horror rap history. So many dope albums dropped this year. It was around this time all of the artists who thought they invented this style of music found out about each other from different parts of the country. This was his darkest s**t. (Editor’s Note: Ganxta NIP says he is the creator off the Horrorcore genre.)

8.  Twiztid – “Blood… All I Need.”

One of the hardest groups in horrorcore in the last what… 20 years? Twiztid. This track was on their final Psychopathic Records release “Abominationz” which I believe was a f***ing masterpiece. Every track is ridiculously good. This album gets heavy rotation around here. Blood and guts is my s**t. Detroit has something in the water out there. No seriously, don’t drink the water there.

9. Brotha Lynch Hung – “Return Of The Baby Killa”

You can’t go wrong with a song that starts off with the tales of barrel f**king a girl and blowing her p***y guts all over the room. This man is responsible for making me believe there was no boundaries in my pen game. Baby killing and murder? You can thank Lynch for that one. In high school everyone had this tape. I think for the pure fact that I’ve probably owned this tape or CD like 10 times in my life that it went gold. People
would always take this CD out of your car for themselves if you left them alone. Parents would catch their kids listening to this, and toss their CD out. Then they would go buy new copies. Even the redneck s**t kicker cowboys at school would bump this in the parking lot. A must have.

10. Flatlinerz – “Live Evil”

In New York, the Flatlinerz, or more specific Russell Simmons’s nephew Jamal “Redrum” Simmons coined the word “Horrorcore”. When this video hit MTV the world was not ready. They are actually working on new material right now. When Marilyn Manson was asked about rap music in an interview, he said he wished horrorcore would make a comeback. This is who he was referring to. You got your wish you pale gothy weirdo.

11. Tech N9ne featuring Liquid Assassin – “Psycho B#### 2”

Tech N9ne is the King Of Darkness. In most of the songs on this list the artists portray themselves as the killer. Not this one. You know that one b**ch you bang out, and then slowly realize you might have f**ked up by giving her your real number? You know, the ones that add your baby momma on Facebook and are extra nice to her? Psycho B***hes. As an artist we all know these kinds of chicks all too well. This track features my dude Liquid Assassin from St. Paul, MN. He is one of my favorite people in the world to tour with. He absolutely kills his verse.

12. Geto Boys – “Assassins”

I’m pretty sure Ganxsta NIP wrote a lot of this (Editor’s note: Prince Johnny C is credited for writing most of “Assassins”), but this is one of the first horrorcore tracks out there if not the first, but then again the Fat Boys “Are You Ready For Freddy”, or Fresh Prince’s. “Nightmare On My Street” were both horror rap songs that came out the same year. I don’t know why but the line “I stabbed the girl in her t###” makes me giggle. F**king awesome.

13. Big L – “The Devil’s Son”

“When I was 12, I went to hell for snuffin Jesus,” – Nas in the sample. No, actually when I was 12, I got in trouble for being caught f######## a girl in my room. By my mom. What a c### block. In 1993 Big L dropped “The Devil’s Son”. Which was a year later after this incident. New York always had their own style of the wicked s**t. This was one was good money son. RIP Big L.

14. Boondox – “They Pray With Snakes” (Remix)

I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Boondox over the years. He’s from Covington, Georgia and has a dope southern horrorcore steez on the Psychopathic Records imprint. If you watch Orange Is the New Black they used one of his songs at the end of the episode where Pennsatucky vowed to kill Piper. I’ve always liked this track of his and I would have to say this is one of his darkest.

15. Triple 6 – featuring Big Drawz “Grave Digger”

I was in High School when my best friend J RZ had this cassette in his car. I remember feeling like I was going to hell for even listening to this song. I immediately asked what tape this was. He said Triple 6. I spent 10 years looking for a copy. I only got one once I met ADR Lavey from the group and we started working on tracks together. He is the devil himself.
He took me to my first big studio to record. He showed me the world. I ended up on some of the dopest Bay Area compilations working with Triple 6 for years and consider them to be some of my best friends. Crazy right? I hope you listen to this song and feel like a sinner.

16. Insane Clown Posse – “Cemetery Girl”

One of my absolute favorites. This whole song is filled with Halloween Sound Effects samples. Mike E Clark did his thang on the production tip. A urban love story about a man and his girl. His dead girl. That they have to dig up from a Graveyard. I don’t think ICP realizes how much I look up to them, and  how much I appreciate them showing me the love they have over
the years. I grew up on their sIIt. If it wasn’t for ICP, I wouldn’t look the way I do, or grind as hard as I do now. Still a huge fan.

17. Necro – “Dead Body Disposal”

Necro is by far one of the most brutal hip-hop acts period. His production is some of the most sought after to hip-hop heads everywhere. If you ever kill somebody, listen close. He will tell you how to drain, cut up, and dispose of the body in this 2001 underground tutorial from his Gory Days album. I recently got to hook up with Necro after years of knowing him and
about him for a track on my upcoming mixtape “Locked Up A Broad”. Fresh.

19. Sicx – 9 Millametta

Now I know some people would be p##### that I put Sicx on here because he too – like many others is in prison for living the crazy s### he talked about – but I don’t give a f**k. This was some of the hardest s**t out here on the West Coast when I was growing up. “Should I waste her or should I just let ’em panic, or give birth to another human schizophrantic?” That siccness lives on.

20. Blaze Ya Dead Homie – “Maggot Face”

One of my favorite artists in the scene is Blaze Ya Dead Homie. Somebody murdered him back in the day, he came back to life and the rest is history. I imagine being a dead guy, the maggots can get annoying. I toured with him after he came back to life for my first real national tour ever. Dude took me to the f***in Grand Canyon and laced my boots with game. Forever props.

Buck LGR – "Nothin Above Em"

Buck LGR comes out swinging by the way of New Jersey with his newest single “Nothin Above Em”. Some might view this as the new anthem for those who are about being real and leaving that fakeness by the wayside. Buck uses this as his chance to call out all his local foes who don’t support the movement and salutes the ones who do, even if he has to get the love and support from some of his out of state twitter followers. This song will make it’s appearance on his upcoming project 4th Ward Naton 3, which is set to drop January 1, 2015.

Mixtape Download: Lil Boosie – "Life After Death"

As promised, Lil Boosie delivers his first project since being released from prison titled “Life After Deathrow“. The project comes with 18 brand new records and a few features from Yo Gotti, Trey Songz, Shy Glizzy and LIV. His album “Touchdown 2 Cause Hell” is still in the works.

My Five Firsts: Chris Webby

In what is becoming the “Indie Age,” artists are constantly discovering new ways to build their brand and their fanbase without the assistance of significant corporate money. One of those modern independent entertainers that has managed to establish himself as a serious rising force in the musical landscape is Connecticut’s Chris Webby.

The 26-year-old rapper’s Homegrown Music imprint partnered with indie label eOne Music to release Webby’s debut studio album Chemically Imbalanced. The 17-track opus features appearances by Talib Kweli, B-Real, Tech N9ne, Jarren Benton, Trae The Truth, Dizzy Wright, and more.

Chemically Imbalanced follows the EPs There Goes the Neighborhood and Homegrown as well as mixtapes like Webster’s Laboratory, Bars On Me, and the server-crashing Best in the Burbs. Even without major label backing Webby’s discography includes work with Bun B, Method Man, Prodigy, Joell Ortiz, Big K.R.I.T., Statik Selektah, Ski Beatz, and DJ Drama.

Webby’s musical output and online presence has garnered him a legion of loyal followers. Innovative social media interactions like his #IGotChemicalyImbalanced Instagram campaign (which led to the emcee sending over 600 personal “thank you” messages via Snapchat to fans that pre-ordered his album) helped establish a relationship between Webby and his supporters that is close to cult-like allegiance.

AllHipHop.com spoke with the “F**k Off” rhymer to have him reflect back on five memorable moments from his life. In the latest installment of “My Five Firsts,” Chris Webby reminisces on his freestyle battles at New York’s Hofstra University, experiencing marijuana for the first time, and being influenced by a classic Eminem LP.

The First Time Participating In A Freestyle Session In College

I do remember that first party I rolled into at Hofstra. I was a straight up freshman. No one knew who I was. I barely got into the party, because everybody was like “Who the f**k is this kid?” I walked around, then I got f**ked up. I hit the keg real hard.

I remember running into some Asian kid who was freestyling. I used to be a bit more aggressive than I am now when it came to that, so I said, “Let’s f**king battle.” I don’t really do that anymore. I’m all about good vibes now, but at the time it was all about proving what you got.

So I stepped up to him, and I remember whooping the s**t out of him. I wiped the floor with him. Everyone took note of that. From that moment moving forward that was the m.o. It got to the point that I would go to the bar and one of my friends would be a ringer and bring people over, put money on it, and have me battle these kids. I would just beat everybody.

At the same time I would not say I was ever a “battle rapper.” It was everything on the spot, freestyling. When it comes to the set-up s**t where you must have 90 bars in your back pocket and go a cappella, that’s never been my thing. When you go against these cats that really do that, that’s a whole other thing.

First Time Smoking Weed

I would not say I’m a weed rapper, but I am a huge supporter of marijuana. I think there are a lot of positives to it, and it’s not f**king bad. So whoever has a problem with it should chill the f*k out and smoke a  joint.

The first time I smoked weed was in 8th grade, and I was at my buddy’s house. He had tried it a couple of times, and I was like, “I can’t wait to try this sh**t.” We had a water bottle bubbler with a pen sticking out the side. We waited for his parents to go to sleep and went out on his back porch and smoked this s**t a guy told him was g14 – the government grown weed. We were in 8th grade, so who the f**k knows. It could have been one step above herbs and spices out of his kitchen.

But it was f**king good. I remember being so high that I thought I was above myself looking down on myself. So to anyone who says that you don’t get high the first time, you’re f**king wrong, because I was blasted. I’ve never been that high again. I’ve been a pothead more or less since.

First Time Finding Out Your Mixtape Crashed Datpiff.com

I remember getting a call from KP over at Datpiff. My fifth mixtape came out – Best in the Burbs – which is really the one that got things cooking. He gave me a call and said, “Dude, what the f**k did you do to my website?”

Apparently, Datpiff crashed since, but never like it did that day. He had to completely rewire his servers. It was down for hours. Plenty of people have crashed it since, and the website would  be slow or unresponsive, but I literally broke his website. He had to rework coding.

I called him and asked if someone gave him a virus, but the answer was no. It was just because my fans were waiting to click on that s**t as soon as it dropped. That was a defining moment. That’s one of the accolades that I will wear proudly. At the time, it was especially a big deal. I was still on the come up and relatively unknown in most circles. That just let people know, we might not know much about him, but somebody does.

First Time Beating A Video Game

I had the NES [Nintendo Entertainment System] from the time I was born. My family already had it. I grew up on Mario hence why I have Mario tattoos all the way down my lower back. I have always been a gamer. I’m an only child, so you can only imagine there was some down time that was boring as f**k.

It was amazing. I don’t know if I would be where I am now if I wasn’t an only child. I forced myself to be creative. I used to write chapter books, draw pictures, and make up my own storylines with action figures. Then it was the NES in the basement.

It was very important to me. It was crucial, and the first game I beat all the way through was Super Mario 2 with the Game Genie attachment. I was a little kid, so I needed some assistance. I remember beating Wart at the end. It was a very fulfilling moment in my life.

First Time Hearing Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP and Cam’ron’s Purple Haze

My parents wouldn’t even let me get the edited version of Eminem at the time. There was so much news coverage and commotion. I’ve never seen an album have so much social impact than that one. It was really insane. He had the song “Kim” on there. There were just 120 reasons why parents shouldn’t buy this album for their kid, but of course I got my hands on it.

My friend had a mother who was less aware of these things. My mom was a public school teacher, so she knew what was going on, but my friend’s mom didn’t know so much. So he got a copy of it. I brought it to my house, put it in my old boombox, and taped it onto a cassette tape.

It’s just such an incredible album to be exposed to as a kid. I could see where it was a bad influence for me. I’ve even taken note of that in my own work, realizing some of these kids are so impressionable. I was listening to “Drug Ballad” at 12, 13 years old. Not necessarily the best influence. But it needs to be said. It allowed a white kid to say, “Hey, I can do this to.” [Eminem] was the first white dude to be accepted all across the board. If he’s not in your Top 5, you’re bugging.

On the flip side, people forget that when Cam’ron first came out he was a really dope lyricist. He relied less on his lyrical prowess as he moved on in his career, but the dawn of Dipset was huge for me and my friends. I lived in Connecticut which is right next to New York, and Dipset was everywhere.

I have a special connection with Purple Haze, because that album came out right when me and all of my friends where getting our permits and driver’s licenses. That was the song that was in everybody’s car. That was what we rode out to. That was what we took a first blunt rides to.

When you had someone in your car and you wanted to show them your system, you put on Killa Cam. Till this day – “Oh, you wanna hear how loud my bass is? Killa Cam it is.” That album was a big one for me.

Radio Personality Star Blasts 50 Cent, G-Unit, & ThisIs50 Radio (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Troi “Star” Torain is no stranger to controversy. The veteran radio personality has made a career out of being an agitator or as he describes it a “culture critic.” His latest targets are ThisIs50 Radio, 50 Cent, and G-Unit.

[ALSO READ: Star Threatens To Slap Ebro Darden & Peter Rosenberg (VIDEO)]

Star apparently took issue with Philadelphia rapper Tone Trump’s interview on Thisis50 with Hynaken, DJ Thoro, and Star’s cousin Gossip Viv. While on the program, the Trump Life emcee suggested that Star was “doing bad” and that he was “one of his three listeners.” Trump claimed the two had issues from what he saw as Star setting him up during a radio interview in Philadelphia years ago.

Star used his own show to fire back at Trump and ThisIs50 as well. The Shot97 host referred to the employees at the company as “hoe ass n***as.” Star claimed that someone from the station had G-Unit’s Nelson contact him to squash the situation. He then took shots at 50 Cent and G-unit for participating in Cyndi Lauper’s “Home For The Holidays” benefit concert for homeless LGBT youth.

“50 and G-unit are headlining some f**king gay-lesbian concert,” said Star before shaking his head at the camera. “The f**kery that G-Unit is now doing.”

While he mentioned 50 and his rap crew by name, Star’s harshest words came for the Queens rapper’s other brand.

“Viv called me to say Tone Trump was coming at me. I said, ‘Okay, when is this going to be loaded up?’ You did your little edit job. Your s**t’s not streaming nowhere. You’re a f**king big garbage can,”  expressed Star. “You thought you were just going to put a clip up on me, and I’m just going to say, ‘Ha ha. ThisIs50. G-Unit.’ Motherf**k you! F**k the whole system you got up there. You n***as make about as much money as a Burger King worker with the exception of the fact that a Burger King worker gets a f**king holiday bonus. You bum ass n***as.”

Star does add that he has does not have a problem with Viv or Hynaken. He even suggests that Hynaken could actually make more money going at 50 in YouTube vlogs than what he is currently making at ThisIs50.

Top 5 Horror Movies: Ganksta NIP Edition

Hip-Hop and Horror actually have a very storied history since the 1980’s. The man credited with creating the genre of Horrorcore is none other than Ganksta NIP, the legendary rapper from the Rap-A-Lot Records camp.

We had to get NIP’s favorite horror movie characters – all out of order. Also, if you need your audio fix, check out NIP’s new album, God of Horrorcore.

RELATED: Ganxta NIP: The Psycho Becomes A God Of Horrorcore

HANNIBAL

Hannibal has endured as one of the most gruesome characters to jump from written pages to the silver screen in 1991’s award-winning movie “Silence of the Lambs”. The movie is a classic but the character has lived on. Most recently, Hannibal showed up in a particularly graphic TV series that debuted in 2013.

Nip says: My homeboy Hannibal gotta be Number 1, man. That’s my lil’ homey right there. “Clarice.” This boy talking to Clarice so calmly and at the same time, he’s cutting the dude’s brains, putting it in the skillet. That’s my dog there. That’s my top dog – period point blank.

NORMAN BATES

Norman Bates was created by author Robert Bloch in a book Psycho. It wasn’t until Anthony Perkins played the character in the 1960 film of the same name that the legend took flight. Shout out to the Alfred Hitchcock for directing the original movie and its sequels. The Bates Motel, a TV series inspired by the movie is in its fourth season.

Nip says: You also got my homeboy Norman Bates. That’s my homey too. But, what I like about Norman is he didn’t look like a psychopath. He at the hotel. If you looked – at the hotel – he was cordial. Nice and cordial. He dressed neat. You didn’t have an idea of him being the killer that he was. That what I liked about him. [laughs]

FREDDY KRUEGER

Why mess with somebody’s sleep? That’s exactly what Freddy Krueger did. He decimated the sleep patterns of those in the A Nightmare on Elm Street movie franchise and those at home. He’s been around since 1984 and is still scaring the crap out of people.

Nip says: You know I got to say Freddy Krueger. Freddy, he might be anywhere. You can’t run from him.

JASON

“Friday The 13th” is another horror movie series that debuted in the 80’s. The killer was a guy named Jason Voorhees. You may have heard the likes of Kendrick Lamar drop the name. At this point, Jason is a mass murdering icon that has appeared in comic books, movies, books and even a cross-over movie with Freddy Kruger.

Nip says: Then there’s Jason. Jason is a straight killer.

CANDYMAN

The only Black horror figure on the list is a dark, shadowy figure by the name of Candyman. Candyman had to be summoned and when he was, the killing commenced. A infantile grad student studying urban legends brings Candyman to life and the dying begins.

Nip says: My Number Zero would have to be Candy Man. “Say my name three times like Candy Man.” Say his name. He comes out. He’s got a fly coat. He’s really a fly dude, you know what I’m saying? Then he would appeared. Once he appears, you know what it is. The best thing about Candy Man is…you had to believe it. You had to believe. That’s why with this new albums, God of Horrorcore, you gonna believe. Come into my world again. [Laughs]

Hip-Hop Rumors: Will Twerking Bring Down Dej Loaf?

This new singer Dej Loaf is supposedly a true G, talking about catching a body and killing a whole family. But, can a real G twerk and kill a family? I’m thinking folks just in the studio.

Here is “Try Me”:

For those interested, her upcoming mixtape, “Sell Sole,” is scheduled to drop December 2014.

Ab-Soul Talks Considering Eye Surgery + CDQ Of "Druggys With Hoes Part 3"

(AllHipHop News) TDE emcee Ab-Soul has been very open about his 17 year battle with Stevens–Johnson Syndrome. He even addressed the illness on the song “The Book of Soul” off 2012’s Control System. Unfortunately, Ab’s condition is apparently worsening. The Carson, California native spoke about his options to combat the disease during a Q&A with GoodFellaMedia.

“I was talking to Puffy or ‘Dr. Sean Combs’, and he really suggests that I go ahead and try to get a cornea transplant. I’m just a little eerie about that because what if they mess up,” said Ab. “I just look at it on a brighter side. You can’t have it all.”

Later in the interview Ab-Soul reveals that there is a CDQ version of the track “Druggys With Hoes Part 3” with Schoolboy Q. The duo debuted the song at a performance in April. Soul was asked if the official song will ever be released.

“I hope so. It’s gotta come from the boss though – Top Dawg,” explained Ab. “It was supposed to go on the album. We just couldn’t clear the sample. That’s why it wasn’t on [Schoolboy’s] Oxymoron.”

Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo Talk Ma$e Wanting To Pull A Knife On Fat Joe + Clown 50 Cent's Fashion

(AllHipHop News) As G-Unit prepares to drop the CD version of their The Beauty Of Independence EP and their next project The Beast Is G-Unit, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo caught up with DJ Envy to talk about some past incidents involving the crew. One of those topics centered around former G-Unit affiliate Ma$e’s reaction to a confrontation with Fat Joe.

“I think the funniest s**t at the MTV Awards when we had the beef with Fat Joe – shout out Fat Joe. It ain’t no beef now,” recalls Yayo. “It was me, Ma$e, I think Olivia, and Fif in the car. Ma$e was like, ‘Yeah, I should have pulled out my ninja knife.’ I was bugging.”

Banks and Yayo also discuss the friendly jabs that takes place between themselves and the G-Unit leader 50 Cent. During the conversation, they crack a few jokes at the Queens rapper’s expense. Especially, when Envy brings up the G-Unit tank tops.

“He drew the colors on that wife-beater,” said Banks. “We were on our way to a concert, and he had the wife-beater and a regular red marker and a black marker. He just started drawing boxes. I’m like, ‘What the f**k?'”

“Me and Banks, we like Louis. We like Hermès. We like the Foams,” added Yayo. “50 the type of n***a that be like [imitating 50 Cent’s voice], ‘You know it costs two dollars to make those. You paid $200 for those. You’re crazy.”

“He’s like a rich-broke n***a,” joked Banks.

Yayo and Banks then go on to reveal that they had to convince 50 to wear a throwback cap on his 50 Cent Is The Future mixtape cover and clown him for buying knockoff Timberland boots.

NWI Times reports Kevo and 28 other defendants were charged in two separate states for an elaborate scheme that supposedly included using coded language in rap videos referring to “cracking cards” as well as social media to promote the operation. Authorities claim banks lost hundreds of thousands of dollars as a result.

Kevo and others are accused of convincing bank customers to share their debit card and personal identification numbers. They then allegedly deposited counterfeit checks into third party accounts and later withdrew money from ATMs. By the time the banks discovered the checks were frauds, the money had already been advanced to the bogus accounts.

Kevo was among six people charged in U.S. District Court in Indiana. Other people allegedly connected to the conspiracy were charged in Chicago with separate counts including bank fraud, financial institution fraud, and wire fraud.

Nurse Defies Mandatory Ebola Quarantine

Despite assisting with the treatment of Ebola patients in Sierra Leone, after returning to the U.S. nurse Kaci Hickox is now refusing to adhere to a quarantine mandated by Maine Governor Paul LePage, which would confine her to her home for 21 days, the necessary time needed to ensure that she has not been infected.

Hickox is claiming that the precaution is “not scientifically nor constitutionally just.”

Though to date she has not shown any symptoms, officials have implemented the quarantine in an effort to monitor for any potential signs of infection, however Hickox is fighting back and claims that she will not follow isolation orders. She was recently seen out riding her bike alongside her boyfriend with whom she is currently staying.

She may not have a choice however; as officials are taking a more stringent approach after the recent emergence of the Ebola virus in the U.S.

According to Maine’s Health and Human Services commissioner Mary Mayhew, “We are hopeful that the selfless health workers who are brave and caring enough to care for Ebola patients in a foreign country will be willing to take reasonable steps to protect the residents of their own country,” she added “However, we will pursue legal authority, if necessary, to ensure risks is minimized for all Mainers.”

This comes on the heels of New York physician Craig Spencer, who after returning from West Africa admitted that he had traveled throughout the city before testing positive for Ebola.
