The League of Young Voters and Cashmere Agency in conjunction with AllHipHop, ThoughtWorks and HandsUp United hosted an intimate breakfast called, No Guns Allowed: Fallout from Ferguson in Atlanta during BET Hip-Hop Awards weekend. Moderated by Dr. Robert “Biko” Baker, Executive Director of the League of Young Voters, the conversation focused on gun violence solutions and was a response to the unrest in our nation stemmed from Michael Brown and Ferguson.
Participants include: Snoop Dogg, Ferguson youth group Lost Voices, CEO of AllHipHop Chuck Creekmur, St. Louis Rapper & Activist Tef Poe and Lucia McBath, mother of slain Florida teen Jordan Davis and National Spokesperson for Moms Demand Action For Gun Sense in America. Michael Brown’s family and supporters were also in attendance.

(AllHipHop News) Producer and Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star Jamal “Mally Mal” Rashid’s home was raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation today according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The FBI’s public corruption squad searched Rashid’s Las Vegas Valley house and his Las Vegas Concierge escort service in an investigation supposedly surrounding human trafficking.
Witnesses say a police helicopter landed in Mal’s front yard and an FBI armored vehicle knocked down the front gate to the residence. Clark County animal control officers were also on hand at the time. Mal is known to own several exotic animals. No arrests were made.
Mall has worked with rap stars like Drake, 50 Cent, Tyga, French Montana, Pusha T, Snoop Dogg, and Chris Brown. He is the owner of Mally Mall Music.

(AllHipHop News) There have been comments on the internet that NBA star Kevin Durant is a victim of the curse of rapper Lil B. Back in 2011, Durant sent out a tweet where he stated “I tried to listen to Lil B, but my mind wouldn’t let me do it…can’t believe this guy is relevant.”
The Based God’s followers went in on Durant, and if you let conspiracy theorists tell it, KD’s lack of a championship is the result of some sort of hex.

The reigning league MVP was asked about the “Lil B Curse” by Revolt on the NBA 2k15 launch party’s red carpet.
“Curse? I keep hearing it. Every time I saw it on Twitter and Instagram, it’s this Lil B stuff coming up. I don’t have no problem with Lil B,” said Durant. “He’s got so many fans, it’s starting to get on my nerves… Just to get them people away – me and Lil B are cool.”

(AllHipHop News) The Strange Music roster no longer includes California emcee Jay Rock. The head of Strange, rapper Tech N9ne, told Montreality that Rock is currently 100% with Top Dawg Entertainment.

“Jay Rock is coming out on TDE. He is now fully TDE,” revealed Tech. “We did what we were supposed to do for him, for the homie, and pushed him forward to get his album out, because Warner Brothers wasn’t doing it. We fulfilled that, and now Top Dawg are able to take Jay Rock and do what he’s supposed to do on his next album.”
Jay Rock’s 2011 album Follow Me Home was released via Strange and Top Dawg. He is said to be currently working on his next LP. TDE’s CEO Anthony Tiffith recently tweeted that Rock and fellow Black Hippy member Kendrick Lamar’s respective projects are “coming soon.”

Despite losing Rock from the team, Tech and Strange still had another great financial year. The Kansas City native pulled in a reported $8 million over a 12 month period. He landed at #16 on the this year’s Forbes Hip Hop Cash Kings list. That is up two spots from 2013 where he was ranked #18 with $7.5 million.

The rumors have been in overdrive since word dropped that one of hip-hop’s favorite couples were calling it quits.
Rumor is Amber Rose showed up at Wiz’s house at 2 AM and was shocked to find him in bed with another woman and went ballistic.
But Wiz says Rose can’t possibly trip because he had already made it clear that he no longer wanted to be married to her anymore and moved out weeks before, therefore he says he wasn’t cheating.
The rapper also doesn’t believe that Rose wasn’t letting Nick Cannon chop her cakes down, and is reportedly going to drop a song about Rose, but is waiting for the divorce to be finalized.
Boy we can’t wait for that ink to dry on those papers.
(AllHipHop News) The MC Wars NWO 2 event scheduled for last night did not end as expected. The battle rap card was supposed to feature the high-profile match ups of Keith Murray vs Fredro Starr and Bonecrusher vs Mike Jones. Neither bout happened as issues of payments halted the performances.

AllHipHop.com spoke with MC Wars COO Amir James, and he revealed the organization is currently in discussion with all four rappers about rescheduling their match ups. James claims all four received their deposits to appear for the event, but they were waiting on the rest of the balances that were negotiated.
According to James, the situation was complicated when payments from two of the sponsors for NWO 2 had not arrived at the time. The money issues are being settled, and he hopes to be able to film the battles in the next few weeks.
“We’re going to make good on this,” says James. “We’re going to move forward.”
He adds fans that bought tickets for MC Wars’ NWO 2 will be able to receive a refund or a complimentary ticket to an upcoming event. More information about the rescheduled battles, refunds, and comped tickets will be posted on the company’s website mcwar.com.

Chris Brown’s family fear that his ties with the Bloods could possibly ruin his life and that if he doesn’t cut them soon, the consequences could be terrible.
TMZ reports:
“Chris Brown’s girlfriend and family are secretly and desperately trying to get Chris away from gangs … and they’ve even contacted his therapist to put the heat on the singer … TMZ has learned.
Multiple sources tell us … Chris’ mom and Karrueche are so worried … they approached the therapist because they’re deeply concerned Chris is not only compromising his safety by promoting gangs, he’s also ruining his career.
TMZ broke the story … the LAPD has already gone to L.A. clubs, trying to convince owners to ban Chris and his entourage because wherever they go … violence follows.
Chris’ family thinks he does not understand the implications of associating himself with the Bloods. He thinks it’s “cool,” but the family is worried he’s in real danger and he doesn’t have a clue.
We’re told they literally think Chris’ life is on the line.”
Lil Kim stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning and spoke on a number of things, including her ongoing beef with Nicki Minaj and her newfound beef with R&B singer K. Michelle.

(AllHipHop News) In the wake of the Ray Rice elevator tape being exposed, domestic violence has become a national conversation. It has also become a major topic overseas, and one of America’s most successful performers’ history of witnessing abuse was recently covered in a British publication.
Nicki Minaj (born Onika Maraj) has always been open about the fact she saw her mother being abused as a child. Nicki’s mom Carol Manaj has now publicly addressed what took place in their household as well. During an interview with The Sun, Ms. Manaj spoke about how her husband Robert had the entire family living in fear.

“My husband used to get high on cocaine and alcohol and would come home and terrorize the whole family,” said Manaj. “One night I woke up and smelt smoke. I went downstairs and the kitchen was on fire. I had to run out of the house and it burned to the ground.”
Apparently, Nicki and her brothers would have to listen to their mother being beaten from their rooms.
“Some nights, while my children were sleeping, my husband would come in intoxicated. He would be very menacing and threaten me, calling me a whole lot of names,” Manaj added. “My children would sit up in their beds crying and wait it out. He would bring so much fear to them, they wouldn’t know his next move.”
Manaj eventually threw Robert out of the house, and they have not reconciled since. Nicki of course went on to become one of the biggest music stars in the world. Her next full length project The Pinkprint is due out on November 24.

During a concert stop on the “Drake vs Lil Wayne” Tour, Drizzy responded to a Wayne reference about CB by reflecting on how he could have made things work better with Ri Ri.
“I’ve been listening to oo much Breezy lately. I just had to do it,” said Wayne after hitting some dance moves.
Drake replied after his own dance break by saying, “Man, I should’ve brought that s**t out earlier. Maybe I could’ve made that s**t work with Rihanna a little better.”
Chris and Drake settled their differences earlier this year. CB explained during an interview that his time in prison made him demise holding animosity toward others.
