Kanye West and Annie Leibovitz Address Weding Photo Controversy

(AllHipHop News) This past Tuesday (June 17th), Kanye West spoke at the Cannes Lions Creativity Conference in France and stated that famous photographer Annie Leibovitz cancelled on shooting his wedding photos “right before the wedding—maybe she was scared about the idea of celebrity”. In a joint statement recently released by both West and Leibovitz, the pair address the miscommunication which led to Leibovitz’s absence from West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding.

The joint statement asserts that the pair’s representative “were in negotiations for weeks that were not completed by the time of the wedding.” That fact was not made apparent to the groom on the day of his wedding as the statement continues that “unbeknownst to Kanye, she was never confirmed.”

At the Cannes Lions Creativity Conference West claimed that he wanted Annie Leibovitz to shoot his wedding photo in order to improve the level quality of Instagram pictures. In the joint statement West added a personal quote about the controversy and hinted at why he originally voiced his frustrations at the conference:

The most-liked Instagram photo of all time, shot by Annie Leibovitz.  Oh, I’m sorry for dreaming out loud.  Again.

50 Cent Talks Sex With Chelsea Handler, Jay Z Being "Most Overrated" + MORE (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent appeared on E! Networks’ Watch What Happens Live and openly discussed Jay Z being “the most overrated rapper of all time”, sex with Chelsea Handler and more. In other words, 50 Cent had a regular 50 Cent day.

Last January, 50 Cent compared  having sex with his ex-girlfriend, new Netflix talk show host Chelsea Handler to wrestling with gator. When asked about those comments, 50 reveals that he still calls her “gator”.

When the topic shifted over to 50 Cent discussing who is the most overrated rapper of all time, he used Kanye West’s 2010 posse cut “So Appalled” to find his answer:

Jay Z, he would say he was overrated. ‘Rather be overrated than underpaid.’

Kevin Liles: New D'Angelo Album and Tour Coming THIS Year

(AllHipHop News) By the end of 2000, both Dr. Dre and D’Angelo were celebrating their most successful albums of their careers and 14 years later, they have never released another album. D’Angelo has been the most reclusive of the two, but according to manager and legendary music exec Kevin Liles, D’angleo’s new album will come this year.

Last year, D’angelo performed a Brothers In Arms show at Brooklyn Bowl with ?uestlove a month after ?uestlove informed Billboard that D’Angelo’s new album was “99 percent” finished. Liles explains to Billboard today (June 19th) why D’Angelo’s album was not released last year:

Here’s the thing: with D’Angelo it was a process. He didn’t perform for 10 years and he’s been working on an album for the past 12 years. I actually got him to go out and do 30 shows [in 2011-2012], and then we did some ‘Brothers in Arms’ shows. I said, ‘We have to get motivated around what people want to hear from you, and what does it mean to come back to that space?’ He very bluntly put it, ‘Kev, the studio and the stage: that’s my lifeblood. Now that I’ve touched it again, now that I see it again, I wanna be sure that the baby I’m about to have — the album — that I take it to the point where it’s all it can be.’

Liles later claims that the new album has a tentative title that he could change. Liles says the album is done with all recording and even gives a tentative number of tracks for the album:

There’ll be an album this year. There’s 14 records so far, we might have a couple of bonus records, but all the recording is basically done and we’re mixing and mastering now. Definitely, he’ll be back.

Liles revealed that D’angelo will be having an international tour in October and will have a North American leg following the international leg.

Slowbucks Regrets Press Conference on 50 Cent Investigation, Denies Snitching + MORE (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) A Hip Hop artist co-operating  with the police will hurt a person’s brand quicker than a chain snatching, apparently. Yesterday (June 18th), Slowbucks denies he snitched on 50 Cent or anyone involved in Slowbucks’ assault and robbery at Summer Jam and  speaks on regrets of the now infamous press conference.

On June 5th, Slowbucks held a press conference at Bostany Law Firm in New York City and had civil Investigator John P Bostany explain why Slowbucks would be investigating 50 Cent and his affiliates. According to Slowbucks during an interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, he regrets the press conference due to the fact he did not speak for himself:

That press conference killed me, it hurt me. Honestly if I would (do it again) I’d be the one speaking like I’m speaking now. Not gon’ let nobody speak for me. The press conference actually let me know who’s who.

Less than a week after the press conference occurred, 50 Cent affiliate Mikey Fingers was arrested in connection to the June 1st assault and robbery of Slowbucks during Hot 97’s Summer Jam. While Slowbucks does admit to participating in police questioning over the incident, he explains how a potential lawsuit against 50 Cent and co-operation with the police did not constitute “snitching”:

If you get into a car accident and you sue, is that considered snitching? It’s the same thing. I see a lot of tough guys do that so I’m just asking. Snitching? If that person can provide some paperwork or is going to jail I’ll sign my company over. You get picked up for questioning. How you not gon’ get picked up for questioning. I got picked up for questioning. There’s no snitching on my record.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Peep Who Is Joking 50 Cent!

Being in the public is a tough sell, I’m telling ya!

With everything famous people do, everything is under scrutiny. Nobody has been more about this like other than 50 Cent, who has joked or dissed everybody. Well, he has found an unlikely nemesis recently. Gabrielle Giffords, the former congress woman, has stepped up to the plate, trolling 50. She threw out the pitch at the Congressional Women’s Softball Game recently and called 50 out for this:

Gabby Giffords 50 Cent

And, her pitch was better than Fif’s. Remember, she’s physically recovering to this day from a shooting in 2011, where she caught a slug to the head. Giffords was shot, but so were 18 other folks. Six of them died. I don’t know if she was comparing on that level, but I found it odd that she called him out.
