DMX’s Wife Wins Big Settlement Against Rapper
(AllHipHop News) DMX’s problems have just gotten a bit deeper, as his living wages have been garnished by the state to ensure he pays child support.
Tashera Simmons, who is technically still married to DMX, will now get $15,000 per month from DMX’s checks from Universal Music Publishing.
This ruling is in accordance with income withholding docs filed in New York state, says TMZ.
Additionally, the documents reveal that $10,000 will specifically go to the four kids they have together and the other $5,000 goes to unspecified support.
Lil Durk Talks Beef With Tyga & Wanting To Holla At "Game's Wife" (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper Lil Durk is not ready to back off his verbal spat with The Game and Tyga just yet. In fact, the 2014 XXL Freshmen Class member took the dispute up a notch by bringing Game’s estranged longtime partner Tiffney Cambridge into the discussion.

During an interview for ThisIs50, Durk was asked which woman he would most like to say hello to, and he eventually responded by saying, “Game’s wife.”
The conversation also addressed Durk’s feud with Young Money’s Tyga. The Coke Boys member explains how the whole ordeal began.
“Something happened in the studio that was between me and Tyga that ain’t supposed to escalate, but it did,” said Durk. “Something happened with a song we did, and he ain’t like it.”
Game later jumped into the issue between the two when the Los Angeles emcee added a verse to Tyga’s diss track “Chiraq To LA” aimed at Durk. According to Durk, that collaboration may have only been about money.
“I heard a rumor he paid him,” expressed Durk. “I don’t know if it’s true or not, but that’s what I heard. Cause n***as can’t hold they own weight.”

(AllHipHop News) Just one day after announcing her departure from Hot 97, New York radio personality Angie Martinez is joining Clear Channel Media – parent company to Power 105.1 in New York and 103.5 The Beat in Miami.

Martinez was a staple at Hot 97 for over two decades. The radio veteran will now join Angle Yee, Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, DJ Clue, and DJ Prostyle at 105. She will be hosting an afternoon program to air on Power and The Beat.
“I am excited to join Power 105.1 in New York and The Beat in Miami and expand my brand even further in the coming months,” said Martinez in a statement.

Tim Duncan was just on the top of the world a few days ago, after winning the NBA Championship, but now he’s taking an L in the tabloids. According to BlackMediaScoop.com, Tim and his wife Amy entered into divorce proceedings in March. In June, the rumors of him having a gay relationship with his best friend emerge. But, it seems that Amy hired an investigator to dig up this dirt. She didn’t just start some crap on a blog. She allegedly unearthed evidence that Tim had an affair with a man while they were married.

An anonymous source claims that Duncan met his male lover during his college years and lived together throughout college, as well as years afterward. The source claims the alleged lover even lived with Duncan and Amy during the their first two years of marriage, before Duncan finally bought the man a condo of his own.
The source claims that Duncan is now working to have a gag order placed on Amy to keep his bisexuality a secret. “Amy treated Tim like a b#### throughout their marriage because she knew he was f**^*ng his BFF. Tim knows Amy was cheating on him but he’s willing to give her whatever she wants, because he doesn’t want Amy to tell the world that he’s bisexual.”

Independent Artists Videos May Soon Be Deleted From YouTube
(AllHipHop News) It appears Google-owned YouTube is now involved in the “major vs. indie” debate that has been ongoing in the music industry for years. According to reports, the video streaming site is on the verge of completely deleting content from some independent artists.

YouTube is set to add a subscription service in the coming days. Reportedly named YouTube Music Pass, the new service will allow users to avoid ads and download music directly from the site.
“Music Pass” has led to new licensing deals with major labels and 90% of the industry, but indie labels are reportedly being offered “highly unfavorable” terms as compared to the big companies.
Some indies are refusing to participate. The independents argue they account for 35% percent of all music traffic on YouTube and that should be justification for a percentage of the revenue from Music Pass.
Google apparently has responded by threatening to omit the independents from the new YouTube service and remove their videos from the free site as well. Videos on Vevo should stay active since the site has separate licensing agreements.
“While we wish that we had 100% success rate, we understand that is not likely an achievable goal and therefore it is our responsibility to our users and the industry to launch the enhanced music experience,” stated Vice President and Global Head of Business at YouTube Robert Kyncl.
This development could have an enormous negative effect on the success of independent artists. Forbes‘ Hugh McIntyre writes:
Perhaps more important is the fact that many up-and-coming artists may have a harder time sharing their music and videos… Barring lesser-known names from the most popular streaming site in the world could seriously damage the growth of independent artists, and hurt the careers of future stars.
It is not clear at the moment how Google’s decision will affect unsigned acts.

Lil Wayne To Drop Second Album In 2014 After C5 (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) So much for Tha Carter V being Lil Wayne’s last album. The Young Money leader revealed during his Weezy Wednesdays vlog he plans to drop a second LP in 2014 as well.

“I been out the game for a second – album wise. I be dropping my mixtapes… but this year I’m dropping two albums for y’all. That’s for my fans,” says Wayne. “The reason why it became two albums, because I went to work on Tha Carter V, and I don’t stop working. So it’s like either Tha Carter V is gonna be 93 songs or we gonna have to figure this out.”
Wayne’s “Believe Me” off C5 has become a Top 40 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100. The Vinylz-produced single – featuring fellow YMCMB artist Drake – has also reached the Top 10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop and Hot Rap Songs charts.

Wiz Khalifa Named In Lawsuit Over Alleged Assault & Battery
(AllHipHop News) Taylor Gang leader Wiz Khalifa was among the defendants named in a lawsuit filed in West Virginia.
Ryan Smith is suing Khalifa (born Cameron Thomaz), along with Rostrum Records, 4.0 Entertainment, Tunez and Cue LLC, Daryl Tyler Jr., Drew Ellison of HowFlyHipHop, Leyonne Pryce, Courtney Williams, and 40 unnamed others, for an alleged assault that took place on April 11, 2013.

According to The West Virginia Record, Smith claims he was attacked at the Tunez and Cue restaurant in Morgantown, and as a result he suffered a broken jaw and other injuries which led to him undergoing reconstructive surgery and dental work.
The suit states the defendants’ acts and omissions were the direct cause of Smith’s loss of income, disability, disfigurement, and loss of enjoyment of life. The complaint was filed on May 26 in Monongalia Circuit Court.
Smith says he attended the Taylor Gang Goodstock Tour event organized by Rostrum Records, 4.0, and HowFlyHipHop at Tunez and Cue. During an intermission Tyler and the unknown defendants allegedly started an “unprovoked” assault against Smith. The alleged attackers were said to be contracted by the named defendants.

Angie Martinez Resigns From Hot 97 After Over 15 Years
(AllHipHop News) Hot 97 has lost one of the most recognizable voices on radio over the past two decades. Earlier today, Angie Martinez announced that she resigned from Hot 97.
On her personal Instagram account, Martinez thanked Emmis Communications and the Hot 97 staff. Angie Martinez has been apart of Hot 97 since 1987 when she worked as a researcher for the now defunct New York Hot Tracks. Martinez began in the promotions department before joining Funkmaster Flex on air in the early 90’s.

Dr. Dre Reveals Release Date and First Promo Picture For N.W.A. Biopic
(AllHipHop News) Earlier today, the wealthiest Hip Hop artist announced the release date for the upcoming N.W.A. bio pic, Straight Outta Compton on his personal Twitter account.
In a succinct twitter message, Dr. Dre revealed the biopic will be released August 15th, 2015. Dre’s Twitter message also included the first promotional picture for the film:

Reports originally placed actor Marcus Callendar as the actor that will portray Dre, however the promo photo and press release from NBC Universal differs. According to the press release, Iron Man 3 actor Corey Hawkins will portray Dr. Dre in Straight Outta Compton.

The-Dream Denies Domestic Abuse Allegations (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Last November, the mother of The-Dream’s child Lydia Nam accused The-Dream of choking, kicking, and punching her while she was pregnant. A month after The-Dream turned himself in to the NYPD on domestic abuse, he denies any culpability for Nam’s injuries.
Last month, photos of a bruised Nam with numerous lacerations surfaced on the internet. While The Dream does not explicitly allege that Nam’s accusations are based in desire for monetary compensation but does allude to it in his explanation of the origin of her bruises.
When you get this much money, just know somebody going to always want it.

Tracy Morgan Is No Longer In Critical Condition
(AllHipHop News) A little over a week after being placed in critical condition as a result of a gruesome accident on the New Jersey Turnpike on June 7th, Tracy Morgan’s health has improved. According to his publicist, the 45 year old comedian was upgraded from critical condition this past Monday (June 16th).
Morgan’s publicist, Lewis Kay also adds that the comedian’s famous comedic wit is starting to return following the accident:
Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement. His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.
No word on a timetable of when Morgan will be released from the hospital.
