When it was time for Ross to perform an announcement was made that the Mastermind rapper did not make it into the venue. He was reportedly stopped by large group of people outside.

“We had Rick Ross right outside here tonight. At about 11 o’clock, when he was pulling up to come into Chene Park, he was met by 100 individuals outside,” 107.5’s program director Jay Hicks told the crowd. “We have tried to pull every resource together and asked him to come back. He is in fear of his life.”

HotHipHopDetroit.com reports rapper Trick Trick may have placed Ross in the “No Fly Zone” which is also the name of the Goon Sqwad member’s new single. That would mean Rozay cannot enter Detroit without the approval of Trick aka “The Mayor of Detroit.”

“[Ross] may never come back to Detroit,” Hicks added.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Kanye Claps At Obama Again!

This isn’t quite a rumor other than the fact that it comes from a tabloid. But, it seems like the dude that deems himself Yeezus is taking shots at the president himself. Remember, a few short years ago, Obama called Kanye West a “jack a$$.” And it has been on ever since. Yeezy has taken shots at the press as well as The First Lady. I don’t think this is a winning strategy. So, most recently, Kanye West has decided to open his mouth about the president more recently.

“You can’t effect change from inside the White House like that . . . You gotta have the money.”

He also said:

“You do not want to go against the power. I’m working on one mission, and that’s a mission from God. I’m gonna make it very clear exactly what I’m here to do. I’m here to help. I’m going to apply all the blessings I’ve got.”

And if you said he was off for comparing himself to Steve Jobs, you were even wronger than than he was in the first place, according to Kanye.

“Don’t worry about how I’m saying what I’m saying. Look at what I’m saying and how I feel and how my intent is.”

I said, “HUH?”

On Tyga’s “Chiraq To LA” Game said:

Tyga called me. When I first got the call I didn’t even know who Lil Durk was. So Tyga hit me like, “Yeah, we going in on Lil Durk.” I’m like, “Alright. Cool, I’m riding with the little homie.” I went in without hearing any Durk records. I didn’t hear Tyga’s part. I just did me. I gave it to Tyga, and they dropped it the next day.

On the G-Unit reunion:

Congrats on G-Unit getting back together. That was cool… I saw the pictures online, and I actually, genuinely, from my heart thought it was a cool thing. Especially for Buck who is a good friend of mine. I just think anything that keeps him going musically is dope. Yayo, 50, and Banks and I haven’t talk to in a long time, but just seeing them back together that was cool. I thought that was dope.

When DJ Skee asked Game what he thought it would take to for him to reconnect with 50 and the rest of G-Unit, The Documentary creator suggested Skee “work that out.”

Hot 97's Funk Flex Puts Power's DJ Envy On Blast For "Snitching"; Envy Responds

(AllHipHop News) Celebrated radio personality Angie Martinez’s decision to leave Hot 97 and join rival station Power 105 apparently has not caused a temporary ceasefire in the ongoing war between the two stations. In fact, two of the central stars of the respective channels are already back throwing shots at each other.

Hot’s DJ Funkmaster Flex continued his personal beef with Power’s DJ Envy via Instagram. Flex posted a picture of a cease-and-desist letter from Envy’s attorney. The picture included the caption:

McGruff the Snitch aka lil power ranger always talking to police and lawyers sending over paperwork!!! #stoptalkingtopolice

Funk Flex

Envy then used his Instagram page to refute Flex’s charges of him being a snitch. He uploaded the same letter and added the following statement with the post:

Now this is a Cease & Desist…. Full letter… No snitching, no police, no statements… this is a letter to a business… Stopping a coward from lying and making up stories… Any TRUE Dad or HUSBAND would do the same… Chess not checkers… @djfunkflexYour a lying, worthless, jealous, pathetic, old man… we all know your going thru a lot.. But lying is not the answer.. You have been in this business to long to go out like a b####!!! You are 55 years old acting like a child… Be truthful with yourself bruh.. you are killing your legacy… We know your not tough, your not a thug, no fists, no gunplay just a man that likes to DJ… Be that man… We are excited Angie is part of the team and will continue to celebrate that…. I will not respond to your shenanigans again… Lights Out!!!

DJ Envy

Envy and Flex have been engaging in a back-and-forth for years. Flex also had issues with Envy’s Breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God. Using his “Donkey of the Day” segment in 2011, Charlamagne labeled his rival “Flex Hogan.” Envy referred to allegations Flex was physically abusive toward women during the DOTD as well.

The Funk Flex/Breakfast Club feud was ignited when the morning show covered Hot 97 DJ Mr. Cee being involved in transsexual sex scandal that same year. Flex took offense to the way his friend was depicted and called out the people “over there in that building.”

Ronald “Ra Diggs” Herron & Uncle Murda Testify At Murder Trial Their Rap Lifestyles Not Real

(AllHipHop News) Ronald “Ra Diggs” Herron is currently on trial in Brooklyn Federal Court for murder, drug dealing and racketeering charges. The rapper attempted to convince the jury this week that he is not the wealthy, drug dealing gang leader he talks about in his music.

On Wednesday the defense team called fellow Murda Team group member Uncle Murda to testify on Herron’s behalf. Murda (born Leonard Grant) revoked his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination in order to take the stand.

While the prosecution attempted to paint Herron as a drug kingpin that terrorized the Gowanus Housing Projects with “armed henchmen,” Murda stated the defendant was actually not well off financially and just presented that gangster persona in his music.

“Fair to say we all might have male groupies that hang around,” testified Murda when asked about the henchmen.

“Sometimes we exaggerate things to sound like the best thing out there,” he added when the prosecutor questioned him about lyrics in song that claimed Murda refused to see a doctor after a bullet grazed him in the head in 2008.

Murda also said Herron had to drive his girlfriend’s car to get around and could not afford studio time to record. They also spent $3,000 to $5,000 a night in bottle service at clubs to keep up the appearance of being rich rappers.

Herron took the stand on Thursday. He told the court he left his life of crime in the past and turned to rap music.

“I spent a lot of time in isolation,” testified Herron. “I went through a whole retrospective process. I changed radically.”

Music videos presented at the trial that included references to violent acts were merely “hyperbole” stated Herron.

One particular image of Herron at a hospital was presented by the prosecution as evidence that the alleged leader of the Murderous Mad Dogs Bloods faction was warning his eventual victim. In the clip Herron says, “See you at a cemetery near you, man.”

Herron claimed the statement was just an ad-lib that was not directed at any particular person. He is accused of killing Frederick Brooks, Richard Russo and Victor Zapata as well as running a narcotics organization.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Another 90’s Rapper On The Comeback Trail!

You know…the 90’s was a LONG time ago when you think about it. But, the realness is that that is where it was poppin like crazy! They were down in the dirt with the people with Tims and Carhart suits on. So, its only fitting these excellent rappers are still around in some form or fashion. And they get a lot of chances than rappers in the 80’s and 2000’s for that matter.

I am hearing this dude is going to be making a comeback in the near future. He has been seen out and about the New York region and is looking to jump back in the game with his unique style and vocabulary.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Timbaland Really Helping Jodeci’s Comeback?

KEITH MURRAY!

Yep. KM is one of the members of the famed Def Squad, Redman, Erick Sermon and others. He had a great run, street cred is good (he and Prodigy from Mobb Deep went at it once) and he even did a three year bid. That’s all for now. Hopefully he can do it.

Here are some of his songs for you all that don’t remember him from back in the day.

Keith Murray – “The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World”

By the way, Jeru the Damaja is coming back too. He’s definitely got a new album on the horizon. Remember he used to go hard at Biggie and Puff back in the day!
