Hip-Hop Rumors: Another Day, Another Beef For Ray J

Ray J stays in some mess, even though he’s not really doing a lot in music. But, this time, it doesn’t seem like its Ray J’s fault. Adrien Broner, the boxer down with Floyd Mayweather, is messing with ol’ Ray J and putting it out there on social media. Apparently, Ray is dating somebody that Floyd used to mess with and even got a tat honoring her on his body.

Well, Broner went in. Why? Nobody knows.

And then Ray J jumped all the way in, lashing back.

It all seems pretty petty to me.

Kevin Hart and Lebron James To Co-Star in New Movie, “Ballers”

(AllHipHop News) Michael Jordan saved the world from an alien invasion in 1996’s Space Jam, Lebron James will help a few ballers. Kevin Hart has joined on to Universal Pictures and Lebron James’ often delayed movie Ballers.

Hart will co-star and rewrite the movie’s script which will put Hart as James’ brother who “gets a chance to prove himself when he and some pals attend a weekend fantasy basketball camp in Miami” according to Deadline.

The movie will mark James’ acting debut and would have occurred earlier if the film production did not coincide with Lebron’s most successful years as an NBA player. Production on the film was halted on July 2nd, 2010 to give James time of rest in the offseason. Less than a week later, James made The Decision and joined the Miami Heat. The film was halted again following Lebron and the Miami Heat’s defeat in the 2011 NBA Finals.

Lebron’s first showcases of his acting talent appeared in his Nike commercial featuring The Three Lebrons for the 2006-2007 NBA season. Check out that commercial below:

The Game Joins With Gang Members To Fund Funeral Of Murdered 7-Year-Old Boy

(AllHipHop News) The tragic killing of 7-year-old Talib Pecantte has rocked the Los Angeles area. The young boy was shot in the chest while sitting in a parked car with his mother and an unidentified man. As response to the murder rapper Game is working with local members of the Crips, Bloods, and Spanish gangs to raise funds for Pecantte’s funeral.

“In 60 minutes, $7000 which is a generous contribution from people who don’t have to give anything,” announced Game. “We grew up in this city, so at the end of the day we kind of feel obligated. So I’m gonna keep on raising money.”

The Jesus Piece rapper also revealed that he has managed to broker a “Cease-Fire L.A.” campaign with the city’s gangs for the holiday season. Game says the short-term goal will be reevaluated at the top of year and beyond.

Authorities have not arrested anyone for the shooting yet. The suspects have only been described as four black males in black hoodies last seen in a white vehicle. Talib’s mother and the man in the car were also hit, but are reported to be okay.

Sway Addresses Kanye West Interview (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) “You ain’t got the answers Sway” will most likely go down as one of the most memorable Hip Hop quotes of 2013. Those Kanye West words were from the epic interview on Sway Calloway’s Shade45 radio show last month. Sway finally decided to speak on the heated conversation on RapFix Live.

“For the record, I love Kanye West. That’s my little brother,” states Sway. “Everything that Kanye said, I think it’s true. In fact, I believe in everything that he’s trying to do, and I think we all should listen to the message that’s in everything that he said in that interview.”

Not to let a hot moment go to waste, Sway also revealed his new “I Got The Answers” t-shirts.

Lauryn Hill Releases New Lyric Video For “Consumerism”

(AllHipHop News) Lauryn Hill released her latest single “Consumerism” in October as she prepared to become a free women again. Ms. Hill has now dropped a lyric video for the track directed by herself and Jon Casey.

Ms. Hill also celebrated her comeback recently with a two show performance at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. The show included an impromptu rap from her son Joshua. Her “Homecoming Series” will continue in Washington D.C. later this month.

Kanye West’s Yeezus Tour Stop Draws In Only 4,500 People

(AllHipHop News) Despite the constant media coverage (or perhaps because of it) Kanye West’s “Yeezus Tour” is struggling to sell tickets at some venues. Multiple news reports claim that the G.O.O.D. Music leader’s tour stop this week only managed to bring in 4,500 concert goers. The Kansas City Sprint Center has a 19,000 seat capacity which means 76% of the arena was left unfilled for the show.

It has been a rough run for Kanye’s first solo tour since 2008’s “Glow In The Dark Tour.” The “I Am A God” rapper had to postpone several Yeezus dates after a traffic accident damaged some of the stage equipment, and he permanently cancelled scheduled stops in Vancouver, Denver, Minneapolis, Montreal, St. Louis, and Columbus.

While the “Yeezus Tour” is having difficulties, the Yeezus album is getting praised by music critics. Kanye’s sixth studio LP has been named album of the year by Time, Pitchfork, and Spin.

New York Knicks Player Iman Shumpert Freestyles On Camera

(AllHipHop News) It has been a tough season so far for the New York Knicks. The team now sits at 3-13 and in last place in their division. As Knicks fans are forced to watch their team struggle they can now also watch their shooting guard Iman Shumpert spit a new freestyle.

The 6-5 former Georgia Tech player shared some of his bars in a video for ForbezDVD. Shumpert raps for the camera and then later hits the booth to record some vocals. Krayzie Bone Leaks “Clash Of The Titans” Remix Of Eminem’s “Rap God”

(AllHipHop News) Eminem declared himself a Rap God on his The Marshall Mathers LP 2 track, and now another Midwest emcee is proclaiming his own Hip Hop preeminence over the same beat. Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony debuted his version of the song titled “Clash of the Titans” on his The Quick Fix show.

On the track Krayzie reminds the world that it was he and his Bone brothers that helped popularize the melody rap that is being used by many of today’s rap stars. He spits:

All of a sudden, there are these gay rumors! What the? Some site is saying that there is a show, which doesn’t exist, called “Married Life After Prison.” The rumor has Ja coming home and no longer knowing how to treat his wife and his wife allegedly saying he’s leaving her for his old cell mate. But, Ja responded to the BS on twitter saying “OK I guess I have to address the idiots these rumors are FALSE LIES made up by some non mf factor website CLOWNS lmao.”

Jay Z Ranks His Own Catalogue From Best To Worst Albums

Mysonne Speaks On Confronting Trinidad James (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) A photo of an alleged confrontation between Atlanta rapper Trinidad James and New York rapper Mysonne hit the internet recently, and the pic sparked speculation about what exactly took place when the two met face-to-face. Mysonne alluded to the incident on Twitter, but it was not until a sit down with VladTV that he spoke directly about the encounter.

Mysonne revealed that he was approached by a mutual acquaintance from New York who was with Trinidad at the Sole Con event in the city. The middle man apparently attempted to open a conversation between Mysonne and Trinidad.

“He came to me respectfully and was like, ‘Yo, listen I respect you, and [Trinidad] wants to know if there is any way y’all can settle your differences,” said Mysonne. “I expressed to him our differences is the same differences you should have. You from here.”

From there Mysonne spoke with Trinidad expressing to the southern performer his problem with the now famous “south runs New York” rant and non-apology afterwards. He says he also stated his commitment to NYC and refusal to let anyone disrespect his hometown.

Mysonne confirms that the meeting did not turn violent implying that he did not take that route because Trinidad James is just a rapper and not someone from the street like him.

WTF News: Man Beats Up Father Over Mac N’ Cheese

Alex Rossi, 20, of South Carolina, allegedly beat down his 54-year-old father over an argument they had over instant macaroni and cheese. A powdered cheese packet that creates the cheesiness went missing and all hell broke loose.

Via the NY Daily News:
Alex Rossi, 20, allegedly freaked out after his 54-year-old pop Brian yelled at him for finishing off the cheese he wanted to use in the dish.

Deputies claim the young buck “ran after his dad and began to punch him in the face and head.”

He then “eventually took his father to the ground and continued to hit him.”

When officers arrived at the pair’s Spartanburg home, they saw that “Brian had a fresh laceration beneath his left eye with bruising and swelling.”

The Smoking Gun reports that, during questioning, the younger Rossi confessed to punching his father in the face.

But he also claimed that he’d been hit, too.

The son was arrested for misdemeanor assault and battery.

This week, Mike WiLL hosted a live event called Mike WiLL Been TriLL in collaboration with Been Trill and The Overthrow with exclusive merch items for purchase, live performances, and never before heard music from the mixtape of the same name.

The evening started with a DJ set by P-Nasty and Marz, two producers that are a part of Eardrummers Entertainment. Their set was followed by a DJ set from Heroes x Villians, and then one from Virgil Abloh, founder of Been Trill. Mike WiLL hit the stage to a packed house and, along with DJ Osh Kosh and DJ Kash, partying with the crowd and running through through the full slate of his hits, bringing out guests along the way. Guest performances came from: Project Pat, Migos, Trinidad Jame$, 2 Chainz, T.I., Young Jeezy, and more. Check out these pics.
