50 Cent and Fat Joe were two of the rap dudes with the most beef in a minute. That wasn’t no Frank Ocean / Chris Brown mess. These dudes were going at it, if they were to ever meet. But, they made up last year in light of the death of Chris Lighty. Now, the beef may officially be done. These dudes are rumored to be collaborating soon.
I think these rumors started with an interview 50 did. I wouldn’t bet on it though.
CHRIS AND RIRI…
Man, I wish these fools would get married or something, because I am sick of writing about them. Really doe…it on, its off. The Tran chick is lingering around….come on! The latest is that the pair celebrated Rihanna’s 25th in Hawaii. Good for them.

Is is me or is RiRi lackin’ in the back-end? Awhhh…who cares? She’s winning!

(AllHipHop News) Another video of MMG’s Wale in a heated conversation appeared online this morning. This time instead of going at a court side announcer at a basketball game, the DMV emcee is seen yelling at fans in a parking lot after some of them apparently requested to take a photo of the “Lotus Flower Bomb” rapper.
[ALSO READ: Wale Confronts Sports Announcer on TV Over On Air Comments]
In the video, Wale can be heard screaming, “come do something,” at someone as he’s entering his vehicle. Another unknown individual can clearly be heard yelling back at Wale.
“A n#### just trying to take a picture of your b#### ass!” the man hollers. “Your m############ boss a C.O. n####!”
The only footage of the incident that has emerged so far does not show what took place before Wale and the unknown person began yelling at each other. Also, there is no confirmation of when or where the footage was shot.
At the end of the video Wale does briefly role down the car door window to acknowledge other fans who had ran up to his SUV.
Yesterday Wale took to Twitter to address the recent criticism he’s faced. While he doesn’t directly refer to any particular circumstance, the tweets do mention what he believes is his right to defend himself.
You can watch the video below.
Think back to 20 years ago.
Were you still in middle school? Watching Martin? Falling in love for the first time? Going to see Menace II Society on a first date? Whatever it was, you were probably doing it with the music of So So Def blaring in the background.
With the release of Xscape’s Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha in 1993, So So Def quickly established itself as a hip-hop and R&B powerhouse. The music from the four girls from Atlanta’s east side was powerful because it was rhythmic over hip-hop beats. A sound that would soon become synonymous with Jermaine Dupri. With “Just Kickin’ It,” So So Def had a hit record, a hit group, and soon became a hit factory. Jagged Edge, Dem Franchise Boyz, and most notably, Bow Wow-So So Def’s biggest selling artist- all became a part of the label’s legacy. Kris Kross, hip-hop’s first junior act, was actually signed to Ruffhouse but production of their 1992 debut was handled entirely by Dupri. By signing younger artists, So So Def became the sound of a generation by making music specifically for that generation.
So So Def has been instrumental in establishing Atlanta as a powerhouse in urban entertainment, a position the city has yet to relinquish. Known for his community service efforts, signing of Atlanta natives, and outlandish parties; even the Mayor of Atlanta refers to J.D. as “Da Mayor.” This weekend, Jermaine Dupri and friends will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of So So Def with a power-packed weekend of events culminating with an anniversary concert at The Fox Theatre.
In 1994, So So Def introduced the world’s first platinum-selling female emcee, Da Brat, whose 1994 debut Funkdafied was a phenomenal success and would change the face and look of hip-hop music forever. Brat went on to become an icon for female rappers, her tomboyish style coupled with smoldering sexuality made her a hit with men and women. Brat was not only a great rapper, but she was the pen behind numerous So So Def artists, writing hits for Kris Kross and Bow Wow.
With four albums under her belt, Brat also contributed some amazing features on classics like “Ladies Night (Not Tonight)”, Mariah’s “Heartbreaker,” and Destiny’s Child “Jumpin’ Jumpin’ (Remix).” Brat also acted in several movie projects and participated as a contestant on Celebrity Fit Club. Recent years found Da Brat embroiled in legal battles including her 21-month prison term for aggravated assault of a nightclub hostess. Released in 2010, Brat has slowly but surely returned to the music scene releasing songs on social media where she briefly experienced a mild attack from Nicki Minaj during her highly-publicized dispute with Brat’s friend, Mariah Carey, only to quickly earn Minaj’s apologies for slighting the legendary spitter.
While some aspects of the music industry have changed in the last 20 years, Da Brat has not, not much at least. She is still a sharp as a tack. Still a lyrical monster. Still representing ATL by way of CHI. Still loyal to So So Def. Brat will be one of the headliners at this weekend’s celebration concert and took time to talk to AllHipHop.com about So So Def and why this anniversary is important to all of us.
AllHipHop.com: What was like when J.D. put that call in, like, I’m gon’ do this show?
Da Brat: Well, you know we just did the Celebration record? And that’s when he told me. He always has a So So Def weekend, but he was like, ‘I’m gon’ do this show with everybody.’ I said, ‘Are you gon’ be able to get everybody?’ He was like, ‘Yeah.’ I thought it was a great idea. I don’t think anybody in the history of music has been able to pull that off 20 years later. [Editors Note: Motown Records did celebrate with a star-studded Motown 25.]
It seems like the excitement and the feedback has been great too. How does it feel to see that?
Well, it feels great. I feel like the people that loved me from the beginning, still love me. If you a Brat fan, you a Brat fan. Same thing with So So Def, if you a So So Def fan, no matter J.D. do or what anybody from So So Def do, you gon’ be down with it. That’s what’s so great about our fans, our following, they stay down no matter what we going through.
That’s very true, I have a friend in Virginia and she’s driving up for the weekend.
[Laughs] I got people driving in, flying in from Chicago. People are really excited. Major Kris Kross fans that were kids wearing their pants backwards… they get real excited to come see them. You don’t get to see that. You probably won’t get to see Another Bad Creation come together with Michael Bivins…well, they might do it now that we done did it. We tend to be the first to do stuff, you know what I’m sayin’? I think it’s gonna be epic. I think it’s gonna be great.
Can you think back to one of your favorite memories? In the early days of So So Def?
That’s a hard one. When I first came to Atlanta and J.D. came to pick me up from the first time. He came to pick me up and getting in a convertible all white BMW convertible for the first time, made my mouth drop. Then, we went to his house and his house was like… Neverland. (Laughter) Big movie screens, TV’s, big studio, me being from the West side of Chicago, I had never seen nothing like that. Aw, man… It’s so many great memories. It’s too many to just pinpoint just one. Like the time I did “Give it to You,” all those cameos in my video. Them folks didn’t know me, they knew So So Def. They knew J.D., he was able to make all those calls, I mean, they knew “Funkdafied,” which blew up for me and then everybody wanted to come and participate. It was cool as hell. I had Diddy, I had Biggie, I had T-Boz, I had Mary. Keith Murray. Some of everybody.
That video changed my life.
It was the first video to have that many cameos ever. Then Biggie came with the “One More Chance” video, and I was in that. So, it’s just a blessing, man.
I have to take advantage of this opportunity to say, growing up and seeing y’all doing your thing, really inspired me. It inspired me to want to work in this business, and now being able to write for this site, a lot of that comes from being able to grow up and see people that were around my age on TV doing what I wanted to do. So, I thank y’all for that, I thank So So Def for that.
Aw, man. That’s so cool. You’re welcome and thank you. Thank you for loving it, and listening to it, and being a part of it. For reporting it, and promoting it. I appreciate it, we all do.
Are you working on any music right now?
I’m always working. I’m always in the studio. I’m not signed to a major label right now. But, I’m doing it like everybody else, putting it out on Twitter, songs on YouTube. It might be better not to be signed right now. If I can get 200,000 followers on Twitter, which I’m building up because I haven’t been on there that much. If I can get half of them to buy my record on iTunes, that’s a $100,000 for my pocket. I’ll take that. As you get older and more mature, you see the other side of things. Instead of giving the record company half of that, and then they recouping limos and hotels, you end up with nothing. You live and you learn.
Is it exciting or is it a little intimidating?
I love it. I love the challenge. I love to put in the work. I love it.

(AllHipHop News) It has been a long tradition in Hip-Hop for fans to argue over which rapper had the best verse on collaborations and posse cuts.
Barber shows and internet forums have been the sites of heartfelt, heated discussions like: Which Juice Crew All-Star (Big Daddy Kane, Kool G. Rap, Craig G, or Masta Ace) came on top on “The Symphony?” Who was your favorite rapper from the “4,3,2,1,” remix- LL Cool J, Canibus, DMX, Method Man, or Redman? And of course the infamous Eminem vs Jay-Z “Renegade” debate.
Well, the lead artist of a recent multi-rapper track has revealed who he felt was the hands down victor, and no, he didn’t name himself.
A$AP Rocky recently proclaimed in an interview on Vevo that he believes Mississippi born emcee Big K.R.I.T. was the standout performer on the song “1 Train” off his debut album LONG.LIVE.A$AP.
[ALSO READ: A$AP Rocky Only 5th NYC Rapper to Reach #1 in Last 5 Years]
“Big K.R.I.T. has the best verse, and Ima stick to that. He went in,” says Rocky. “He had like 30-something bars, but he did have the best verse in my opinion.”
“1 Train” featured seven of the hottest rising rappers in the game right now. A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, Yelawolf, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Big K.R.I.T all laid down verses over the Hit-Boy produced track.
Almost instantly after the song hit the internet Hip-Hop heads started dissecting the lyrics, flow, and delivery of each emcee to determine which one took the crown.
Even though “1 Train” was put together by A$AP Rocky, his choice probably won’t sway every rap fan’s opinion of their favorite verse from the song. So inevitably the debate continues.
Listen to “1 Train” below. Who do you think has the best verse?
(AllHipHop News) Queens raised rapper Ja Rule, born Jeffrey Atkins, is on the verge of being released from prison, after serving time for the illegal possession of a firearm in Manhattan, New York in 2010.
According to the Associated Press, while his sentence for the firearm was shortened for good behavior, Ja Rule will go straight into federal custody to finish his sentence for tax evasion.
Although the sentences ran concurrently, Ja Rule still has a little less than six months of a 28 month-long tax evasion sentence, and he could end up serving the remainder of sentence in a half-way house.
While in jail, Ja Rule was on relatively good behavior only picking up two misbehavior reports for unauthorized phone calls in February 2012.
Ja Rule completed his work assignments on lawn and grounds crews and even participated in education programs according to his attorney, Stacey Richman.
Ja Rule will likely be looking to get back to work soon as he still owes the IRS over $1 million in back taxes and unpaid fines.

In 2010 New York City police found a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun in the back door of Ja Rule’s $250,000 car after being pulled over for speeding.
Then in March 2011 in federal court Ja Rule admitted that he was negligent in paying taxes on more than $3 million of money he earned between 2004 and 2006 while he living in Saddle River, N.J..
“I in no way attempted to deceive the government or do anything illegal,” Ja Rule told the judge. “I was a young man who made a lot of money — I’m getting a little choked up — I didn’t know how to deal with these finances, and I didn’t have people to guide me, so I made mistakes.”
No word on Ja Rule’s plans for linking up with Murder Inc., but he has said he is working on Pain is Love 2.

(AllHipHop News) After his recent on stage rant against the NBA and Miami Heat players, Lil Wayne appears to have had a change of heart (kind of). The Young Money leader called into Miami radio station 99 Jamz and confessed that he was sober during his rant, yet he had “too much to think” that night.
But the rapper doesn’t apologize for being who he is.
[ALSO READ: Lil Wayne Goes On Anti-Miami Heat Rant: “I F*cked Chris Bosh Wife”, “I’m the new Pac”]
Wayne did take back the comment he made aimed at LeBron James admitting he is cool with both James and his mother, but he refused to take back saying he slept with the wife of James’ teammate Chris Bosh.
“Other than that though, I don’t take nothing back,” Wayne tells 99.1’s Felisha Monet. “That was at my party. On my stage. I can say whatever I want sweetheart.”
Even though Wayne refused to backtrack saying he had sex with Adrienne Bosh, he does offer amends to the city of Miami.
“As far as the city of Miami, I do want to apologize for the misunderstanding… that everybody thinking I got something against the city, because that’s totally, totally, totally, wrong. I mean these people accepted me with open arms since day one.”
Wayne goes on to claim that his beef is not with the citizens of South Beach, but rather with certain players on the Heat. He reveals that he paid $1.5 million a season for his seats at the American Airlines Arena and that allows him to root for the players he’s fans of and heckler those he’s not as fond of.
He also goes on to explain the riff with the Miami Heat stemmed from an on the floor encounter with Dwayne Wade where the two exchanged expletives towards each other.
“Y’all don’t ‘f” with me. I don’t ‘f’ with y’all. Y’all don’t ‘f’ with me. He look me dead in my eye and his exact words was, ‘we don’t’,” Wayne recalls on the conversation with Wade. “So I said, ‘okay, well ‘f’ you then’. He say [sic], ‘well ‘f’ you’… From that point on it’s ‘f’ everything about the Heat.”
Despite tweeting that the Heat got police to make him leave the arena that day, Wayne does acknowledge during the call that he was not removed from the venue.
After hearing that he could be asked to leave, Wayne went and spoke with someone associated with the Heat to ask if he was about to be escorted out. Wayne says he was told that he had been seen giving an “obscene gesture” to a fan and it was requested that he not repeat that action again.
Apparently, Wayne had given the middle finger to a nearby fan, but according to Wayne the whole exchange was done in jest and both he and the fan laughed about the situation. Already angry about the earlier incident with Wade, Wayne voluntarily left the arena.
As far as Wayne’s claim that he was “banned” by the NBA, he speaks on his removal from several planned activities during All-Star weekend including being a participant in one of Gerald Green’s dunks during the slam dunk competition and performing with Alicia Keys during halftime of the All-Star game.
Wayne says he spoke with NBA commissioner David Stern about why he was not allowed to participate during All-Star weekend. According to Wayne, Stern suggested to him the reasoning was because “we want to protect the players from you.”
You can listen to the entire interview in the videos below.

What in the name of Sam Hill? These teachers have lost their ever loving minds! The latest is this crazy looking teacher. She no longer teaches for obvious reasons, but she reportedly had sex with four of her former students and sent them makes images on Facebook – WTH? YEAH. These kids were looking to get additional help in math and she was looking to get help getting off! The 41-year-old LaShawn Simmons (no relation to Russ) is finished, but not because she had an orgasm. She’s finished because she is now slapped with charges: sexual assault of a child, the discovery of child pornography, two counts of improper relationship between an educator and a student, and online solicitation of a minor. FINISH HER!
Here is some of the report from a local new station:
One of the alleged victims spoke to KHOU, saying that she sent him pictures of her ‘private parts’ years ago when he was still in middle school.
‘Some stuff happened around the 8th grade. She sent me a couple of text messages, that was about it,’ the boy said.
‘Like wow, what kind of person would send me this? An adult, and I’m a child.’Police found some naked pictures of her alleged victims- though not necessarily the boy that was interviewed- on her phone.
Though an after school tutoring session took place in her classroom, the allegedly had sex in her apartment.
The investigation took two months to finalize after the concerned parent discovered the explicit Facebook messages in December.

(AllHipHop News) New Orleans Hip Hop/bounce legend Juvenile has crafted a multiplatinum 15+ year recording career, but he will turn into a vengeful gangsta for his role in the movie The Power of Few.
Shot in New Orleans and directed by Leone Marucci, the crime drama tells the story of a bloody afternoon from three different perspectives, with Juvenile’s character playing a central role in the third act.
Juvenile told Nola.com that the prospect of working some of his favorite actors was one of the main reasons for his signing on to the film:
To be honest, when they said Christian Slater and Christopher Walken and Anthony Anderson — right there that’s three people that I really like. I watch their movies. I watch ‘Mobsters,’ I watch ‘King of New York,’ I watch the movies that Anthony’s done with my fellow rapper DMX in the beginning. I’ve seen him do movies that I’ve loved a lot, like ‘Barbershop.’
In addition to being in front of screen, the 37-year-old veteran has plans to be apart of the film’s soundtrack and possibly enlisting some new artists. Juvenile’s recent mixtape with DJ Slob1 and his son, Young Juve’s mixtape “Son of A Hot Boy” are both featured on Juvenile’s website JuvieTheGreat.com
The Power of Few will debut on February 22nd to select theatres in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Los Angeles.

MORE DRAMA FOR CHRIS AND RIHANNA!

Drake? Chris Brown and Rihanna have apparently broken up again over Drake? What now? Breezy col’ busted Rihanna sending Drake text messages. I guess, old flames die hard. Here is what the UK Sun is reporting.
RIHANNA and CHRIS BROWN have split up… for the time being, anyway.
The couple had a row on the night of the Grammys because the Bajan singer was sending text messages to her ex-boyfriend – rapper DRAKE.The pair were seen looking unhappy leaving the event then spotted sat at opposite ends of a club last week.
A source said: “Chris and Rihanna had a big bust-up at the Grammys over Drake.“She was messaging him and Chris saw and it didn’t go down well.
“Since that night they have barely spoken and have been doing their own things. For now they have split up but they will probably make up at some point.”
BEYONCE REFUSES TO MEET BLUE IVY’S UNCLE!?!!

Matthew Knowles created a big, jagged pill when he cheated on his wife. He created a baby from the affair and rumor has it Beyonce will not see Nixon, her brother and Blue Ivy’s uncle! I mean, who cares – I know. I don’t either but the Star gossip mag is saying something about it. Here it is:
Beyonce is itching to add a son to her family, but let’s hope her daughter, Blue Ivy, treats him better than Beyonce treats her own brother!
Alex Wright tells Star that she is the mother of a baby boy fathered by Beyonce’s dad, Mathew Knowles, when he was still married to Beyonce’s mother Tina.
Sources say Beyonce was so furious about her father’s affair, she refuses to meet her little brother. But Mathew’s relationship with the tot, named Nixon, isn’t much better.
“We had an 18 month relationship. We were in love and even lived together,” Wright tells Star. “But four months into my pregnancy, he decided he couldn’t do it – and since our son’s birth, he has tried to deny Nixon full child support. This isn’t about the money. It’s about accountability, education and providing Nixon a secure life. “
Hopefully that baby gets to know his sister, because that would be criminal if he was punished for the sins of the father!
