Beyoncé Pays Homage to Aaliyah + Releases What Is Pretty Campaign Video

Beyoncé paid homage to the late R&B icon Aaliyah on her Instagram recently. Beyonce rocked a pair of chic black shades and a Revolution Riche sweater with the “One in a Million” singer’s face on it. The retro ‘90s photo featured on the sweater was taken from Aaliyah’s Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number era. The Aaliyah sweatshirts were made earlier this year on Aaliyah’s birthday; only 50 of them were made. Aaliyah and Beyonce have both been credited as two of the most successful female R&B artists of the past 25 years and in R&B history.

To celebrate her “Pretty Hurts” single, Beyoncé also released a video for her What Is Pretty campaign, that features fan submissions explaining their definition of pretty. Check it out below!

  • True That

You all can never admit it, but Beyonce is ALWAYS using someone else, or their style.

She need DC as training wheels, people love to say it was ‘bascially: Beyonce, so why wasn’t it. This is just another stunt. So sick of this overrated overpromoted ‘woman’

And lastly the insult of comparing her in any manner to the humane, loving, caring and intelligent MJ is just insult to injury. He composed, wrote, created and he CARED. He was not a materialistic bragger. He had soooooo much money, but did you ever hear him say so? Ever?

I am so sick of this stranglehold of Bey and Jay, they neeed to go away. Our children are killing each other, our children can’t read, our girls and boys are using their bodies wayyy to early. We need healing not the gasoline that the Bey and Jay brand provide. Nothing good comes from them, nothing.

I mean would it kill them to release a picture reading to their child, well this is not what they are designed to promote.

They are designed to promote exactly what they do, a pipe dream based on materialism, a certain look, a certain body there is absolutely no substance.

They need to be KICKED OUT, when are we going to wake the f up? When all the inner cities are empty, when the prisons are full, when you are bald from all those weaves. When is enough enough.

People are stuck and trapped in a dream state and when they awaken they will see the true nightmare that Jay and Bey’s influence has led the black community to.
