Independent Hip-Hop crew Souls of Mischief will commemorate their upcoming Prince Paul-produced album Montezuma’s Revenge, with the Montezuma’s Revenge World Tour ‘09 featuring Prince Paul on select dates.
Group members A-Plus, Opio, Phesto and Tajai will play 19 dates in the United States and another 16 in Europe and Asia to support Montezuma’s Revenge, which drops November 10.
The album will be released on Hiero Imperium, the label that houses Souls of Mischief’s Hieroglyphics collective.
Prince Paul will join the group during five dates in Europe, while rappers Swollen Members and Ghostface will appear with the group on select dates.
The tour is most expansive and ambitious for Souls of Mischief, who dropped their first album 93 ‘Til Infinity in 1993.
"It’s a new album and a new beginning for us. Also, the fact that it truly is a world tour makes it exciting,” said CEO Tajai. “We plan to hit Japan, Australia and New Zealand as well as a Canada and the rest of the US next year. We even have a show in Bulgaria. That should be exciting!"
