(AllHipHop News) Prosecutors appeared to have a solid case against Jamal Scott, the man accused of killing 50 Cent associate Jamal “Mazaradi Fox” Green last year. However, the New York Daily News reports the government’s case could be in trouble after a key witness has been accused of lying in court.

Rayesha Brockington was charged with perjury and currently being held on $77,500 bail. Brockington told a grand jury in 2014 that Scott fired into a SUV she and Mazaradi were riding in the day of the shooting. She was wounded during the attack.
Brockington later testified at a pre-trial hearing in July that police detectives coerced her into picking Scott out of a lineup. She also alleged the NYPD threatened to report her to Children’s Services if she did not provide information beneficial to the case against Scott.
Queens prosecutors have been forced to reduce Scott’s bail to $5,000. A federal judge released him on house arrest with an electronic ankle bracelet to monitor his whereabouts. Brockington’s lawyer has stated his client will fight the charges of giving false testimony under oath.
Investigators believed Fox’s killing was retaliation for the 1998 murder of Scott’s older brother. The gunman was said to be wearing a black ski mask. Scott was charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, and felony assault after his arrest in 2014.
In January of 2014, 50 Cent sent condolences to Fox’s loved ones via a tweet shortly after the former G-Unit member’s death was announced. Fox was 42-year-old.
