(AllHipHop News) Legendary Hip-Hop label Duck Down Records is acknowledging the memory of the late Sean Price, by observing the 20th Anniversary of Heltah Skeltah’s album Nocturnal.
Heltah Skeltah was a group on Duck Down comprised of members Rock and the late Ruck, aka Sean Price. Other notable groups on the label include co-CEO Buckshot, Black Moon, Smif-n-Wessun, and O.G.C., collectively known as The Boot Camp Clik.
Together, Heltah Skeltah issued their albums Nocturnal and Magnum Force and helped account for a portion of the 3 million records Duck Down has sold over the last 21 years as an indie label.
Sean P. died suddenly of a heart attack on August 8, 2015.

Prior to his passing at the age of 43, Sean P. had produced a deep catalog as a solo artist, releasing critically acclaimed albums like Monkey Barz, Jesus Price Superstar, Random Axe with Guilty Simpson & Black Milk, Mic Tyson and Songs In The Key of Price.
On June 22nd at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, Duck Down is hosting a highly anticipated show where performers on the label’s roster and its many associates will honor all things Sean P.
A number of guest artists will cover Sean Price’s rhymes during the concert, which kicks off at 8:00PM. Duck Down is bestowing all of the proceeds from the ticket sales to Sean P’s family.
On Thursday (June 23), Duck Down will follow the Sean P. tribute with their annual BBQ.
People who visit Duck Down’s barbecue at Betsy Head Park in Brownsville, Brooklyn, will be treated to performances by Buckshot, Rock of Heltah Skeltah, Smif N Wessun, A-F-R-O + Marco Polo, Young M.A, and Chelsea Reject.
In addition to the show, Duck Down, and its sponsors will feed everyone and hand out other collectible items, all for free.
Producer/DJ Statik Selektah will handle the 1’s and 2’s while media personality Peter Rosenberg will keep the crowd engaged as the host.
Duck Down is still putting in work since founders Dru Ha and rapper Buckshot launched the brand in 1995.
The label has been instrumental in developing a new crop of artists, while releasing albums by well-known acts like 9th Wonder, Pharoahe Monch and KRS-One, over the years.
Most recently, Bodega Bamz revealed the visuals to his track “All Eyez Off Me.” The single is taken from part one of Bodega Bamz three-part project All Eyez Off Me, which is due to be released June 1st.
