Tyler, The Creator Accuses Tidal Of Using Bots To Manipulate Streaming Numbers

MEEK MILL IS STILL OUTSELLING TYLER ON ITUNES AND GOOGLE PLAY

(AllHipHop News) There are three albums competing for the #1 position on next week’s Billboard 200.

Meek Mill’s Wins & Losses appears to be leading Lana Del Rey’s Lust for Life and Tyler, The Creator’s Flower Boy.

Tyler took to Twitter to inform his 4.3 million followers he wants the top spot on the album chart.

He also suggested the Tidal service could be manipulating its streaming numbers.

The California rapper tweeted:

F-CK THAT I NEED THAT TOP SPOT. DAMN TIDAL GOT ALBUMS PLAYING BEFORE A PAYWALL WHICH MAKES ME THINK N-GGAS CAN HAVE BOTS SPIKING UP PLAYS FOR BILLBOARD ON FRIDAY HMM.

On Tuesday night, Meek Mill announced he was presenting Wins & Losses for non-subscribers on Tidal for free.

The MMG rhymer tweeted:

I want y’all to hear every part of my album in [Tidal] quality. #WinsandLosses is now available for EVERYONE.

Tidal is led by artist-owner Jay-Z.

The Brooklyn-raised mogul also owns Roc Nation, the management company that represents Meek.

While Tyler tweeted unsubstantiated allegations about Tidal influencing streaming numbers, it should be noted Wins & Losses was already outpacing Flower Boy in the sales predictions before the service offered Meek’s LP for free.

Wins & Losses has also consistently been ahead of Flower Boy on the album charts of the digital retailers iTunes and Google Play since the projects’ release on June 21.
