Did Dark Lo “Make A 2-Hour Statement” To Cops?

There’s a new report that is suggesting that Dark Lo has made some sort of statement to the cops and the streets are feeling the pain! Be very clear, Dark Lo is one of the realest dudes in the game, straight outta Philly. But check this out from CrownedTVnews.com:

Rapper Dark Lo AKA Charles Salley is currently facing 20 years In a federal penitentiary on witness tampering and weapons charges. Feds say Salley wrote a letter to a government witness in an attempt to sway the witness from testifying against his friend, who was on trial for a drug trafficking conspiracy case. A document that was released today spells bad news for the rapper.

In a document obtained by Crowned TV, a shocking and extremely incriminating post-arrest interview was revealed. In the interview, after waiving his miranda rights, Dark Lo sat and talked to authorities for 2 hours without a lawyer present.

In the interview that was captured on video, Dark Lo can be seen and heard willfully admitting to writing a letter to government witness Dontez Stewart, and discussing the contents of the letter with federal agents. He also took ownership of the gun he is accused of possessing, adding that he never carries it, but keeps it in his home for protection.

So, here is what we believe happened. This is not a case of Dark Lo snitching or anything, but it looks like he really should have retained a lawyer. He admitted to doing things, allegedly, that still may have broke the law. He should have gotten that lawyer! He didn’t know it was a violation of the law, some sources have said. He didn’t threaten the dude – he simply made a request that was IN WRITING. YIKES!

(AllHipHop News) The opioid epidemic is paramount touching every region of the country.

It spares no one, regardless of race, gender or social class. Hip-Hop has learned this lesson the hard way since a several of the genre’s best-known rappers have lost their lives (recently) to this particular kind of addiction.

Some, like mega-producer and rapper Timbaland, have dug deep to overcome their dependence demons.

Wednesday on “The Tamron Hall Show,” Timbaland came clean about his struggle with being addicted to prescription drugs for pain.

He said, “It takes over you. It’s something that takes over your body. I don’t want to glorify it, but it feels amazing. It makes you feel like a superhero. It gave me confidence.”

Now you may wonder how one of the architects of the early 2000’s Hip-Hop and R&B sound could be so successful under the influence, but he explained how the “feel good” experienced for a moment trumped his productivity.

“The pills make you function, but sometimes you would nod off while people were talking to you because it would make you fall asleep, but it would make you function because everything feels great.” He continued to tell Hall, “It could be a bad moment going on, but the pills block all that out. I thought some of the pills were making me create, but as I went back to listen to some of my music I was like oh this is not a creation, this is a hot mess.”

Timbaland was lucky. There was something inside of him that did not let the painkillers win, salvaging his new family and saving his life.

“My marriage was new and I was scared of it and I think the pills helped me deal with the marriage at the time,” he courageously states and added that his children were key in him getting clean and sober. “I kept looking like I want to be here for my kids and it just hit me one day. I didn’t go to rehab, I cut cold turkey. My kids were my backbone to living.”

Now he is making his sobriety public with hopes it can save the lives of others. Like the young rapper Juice WRLD who lost his life in December.

The Virginia hitmaker has made this his purpose, to shed ego, celebrity and becoming vulnerable may be the only way to spread this message.

“I think people forget that we are still human and I had to realize that I’m still that guy from the country, I’m just great at music. I felt like I was abusing my gift that God gave me and when I was on the drugs he took that gift away.”

Stormzy Scraps Asian Leg Of Tour Due To Coronavirus Outbreak

(AllHipHop News) As the coronavirus epidemic ravishes Asia and becomes a worldwide concern, it is starting to affect people’s paper.

Someone whose bank will be directly impacted by the highly contagious and deadly outbreak is British grime artist, Stormzy.

According to The Guardian, son is not taking any chances with his health— even if he has to take an L on a major tour that potentially could have raked in some major dough.

The 26-year-old, whose real name is Michael Omari, had planned on taking his “Heavy is the Head” tour to the top Asian markets this Spring. The countries that he was booked to perform are as follows: Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, China, South Korea, and Indonesia.

Or so you might think… but that is exactly what happened in Atlanta, Georgia.

A group of men rolled up in a rented Rolls Royce Phantom to stay in a couple of luxurious, but old hotels while maxing out their expenses, and the workers believed that they were Staten Island rappers.

According to the USA Today, the identity thieves not only fronted as the Enter The Wu-Tang emcees, but the scammers also had execs posing as Roc Nation reps to help them swindle over $100,000 from various hotels, recording studios and car rental spots.

A criminal complaint was filed recently with the U.S. District Court in Atlanta, charging Walker Washington and Aaron-Barnes Burpo as the masterminds behind the scheme. 

Da Baby Confirms He’s Having Another Baby

(AllHipHop Rumors) Da Baby’s daughter’s mother, MeMe, put him on blast for allegedly cheating on her and impregnating the other woman.

MeMe shared text messages between her daughter’s father and his new baby’s mother. The messages show the rapper trying to meet up with the woman and her complaining of not feeling good.

MeMe also revealed, through her Instagram story, that he has been “policing” her-whatever that means. She also said that she asked God to show her who aren’t for her and that him having another child was “the least” of her worries,” but a “convicted soul” was. Da Baby was with her when she created these Instagram stories.

The Charlotte rapper has now confessed that he is having another baby, but denies cheating on his daughter’s mother. He said when his “new-coming blessing was conceived” that he and MeMe were not together at that time.

MeMe responded to his video, saying that a man would never try to “disable” a woman but uplift her. She said a little boy wants to control and take advantage of women.

Hot Boy Turk Prematurely Announces B.G.’s Release From Prison

(AllHipHop News) One of the original members of the Hot Boys, the group that officially help Cash Money Records take over for the 99 and the 2000s, B.G. may be getting out of prison soon.

However, if you are getting your information for Turk, his partner in rhyme, you might have thought he was home already.

On a social media post, his long-time friend Turk told fans that the homie was already home. Wednesday morning he took to Twitter and stated, “B.G. be home get ready!”

By the afternoon, Turk seemed so overjoyed about the return of his guy that he went back on the platform to further state that the #FreeBG campaign started over years ago can cease and desist, saying “There is no more free BG, It’s #BGFree”

Fans too were excited.

AllStar Chuck @CT636Music stated, “When he touches down there shouldn’t be a reason why we shouldn’t see a Hot Boys reunion.” While Lil Dre @Dre_2k is got on his Kim Kardashian grind and said, “Now Free C-Murder.”

In a Tweet that has now been removed, B.G.’s son confirmed what Uncle Turk shared with the world.

In a short and simple message, he said “Popz on the way!” That is when people started to question if Turk was trolling, tweaking or just didn’t know what he was talking about.

None of those were the case. He just jumped out the window too fast, once he the initial news was shared. Check out his clarification:

Back in 2009, B.G. was arrested after being pulled over by police in his Chevrolet Tahoe in his hometown of New Orleans.

What appeared to be a routine traffic stop, would change the rapper’s life for the next decade. During the stop, officials found three guns, loaded magazines, extended clips, and some illegal drugs. It was later discovered that two of the three guns had been reported stolen.

Arrested for illegally carrying weapons, he was incarcerated in 2012 and sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering.

No official word is available on whether or not the “Bling Bling” rapper be released this week, but if he is, considering how on fire them N.O. Boys have been lately, fire music should be on the way.

Blac Chyna Claims To Have Video To Prove She Never Assaulted Rob Kardashian

(AllHipHop News) Model Blac Chyna has asked the courts to dismiss the battery lawsuit brought against her by ex-boyfriend Rob Kardashian.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star sued the mother of his child in 2017 for an assault that allegedly took place a year before and now Blac Chyna, real name Angela Renee White, is moving to have the case completely eliminated.

“Chyna has filed a motion to dismiss the baseless assault and battery claims filed by her ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian in September 2017,” her lawyer Lynne Ciani told ET Online in a statement issued on Wednesday. “Now, Chyna has submitted evidence to the Court proving that she never committed assault and battery against Rob and that his case should be thrown out of court.”

Kardashian has accused Blac Chyna, the mother of his three-year-old daughter Dream, of attempting to strangle him with a cell phone cord, as well as repeatedly striking him in the head and face, causing neck injuries and other wounds.

He also claims she destroyed property in a house they rented from his half-sister Kylie Jenner.

Rob has sued Blac Chyna for assault and battery, declaratory relief over their former reality show Rob & Chyna, and conversion for property damage. His sibling Jenner is also a co-plaintiff in the case over the alleged damage at her rental property.

The feuding former lovers split for good in 2017 after a year of dating.

The Christian music troupe led by the rapper will perform at the Credit 1 Arena in the city on Sunday, a few hours ahead of the National Basketball Association game, which kicks off in the evening and features Team LeBron battling against Team Giannis.

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B hit out at fans on Twitter for posting screenshots of fake direct message (DM) conversations with the star.

The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker took aim after spotting a string of fake messages from users, purporting to have conversed with the 27-year-old rapper online.

In a video, Cardi proved to fans the conversation was fake, as she showed the direct messages she does get.

“The fact that fake pages gotta make fake DMs… first of all, I’m not even that friendly. Why do people think I’d just be talking to anybody?” laughed, while showing off the messages she has in her inbox.

“I don’t even check my Twitter DMs. I’m not really a Twitter person.”

Alongside another set of images, which appeared to show the “Kream” hitmaker declaring her support for embattled singer R. Kelly, who is currently facing numerous racketeering, sexual abuse, and bribery charges, she added: “Stop with the fake dms ….is 2020.”

Chance the Rapper Hosting Kids Choice Awards; DaBaby, City Girls, & Lizzo Nominated

(AllHipHop News) Rap star Chance the Rapper’s family-friendly image has been paying off big time, in the form of new TV shows, hosting gigs on SNL, Super Bowl commercials, and a half-time performance during the NBA All-Star game this weekend.

This March, the rap star will serve as host of the “biggest, slimiest” award show off them all – the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards 2020.

Chance will serve as host of the live event, which will broadcast on Nickelodeon, Teen Nick, Nicktoons, and Nick Jr. on Sunday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. from the Forum in Inglewood, California.

This year’s nominees include some rather controversial rappers, including DaBaby, Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Nas X. Kevin Hart, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Patrick Mahomes, also scored nominations.

During the weekend leading up to the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, a variety of artists will perform during a two-day, family-oriented event dubbed “SlimeFest.”

Bronx rapper French Montana will hit the stage next to artists like JoJo Siwa, Why Don’t Wee and Blanco Brown.

Fans can cast votes on the official Kids’ Choice Awards website, www.KidsChoiceAwards.com.

TruCarr Career Is Poppin “Outside” Of Watts

TruCarr is here to put Watts on the map. The “Outside” rapper describes his hometown as “the gutta,” chock-full of street s##t, violence, females, the list goes on.

The city is broken up into sections, in which everybody stayed in their own section and just turned up. Luckily, TruCarr has the luxury of being able to do his thing and move around (along with his people).

The Tru indicates his honesty and authenticity, keeping things 100 at all times. Growing up, Lil Wayne and Boosie were his biggest influences — but he can hardly name a Top 5. He listens to nobody but himself and plans to take his artistry all the way to the top.

On the day of the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, AllHipHop caught up with TruCarr (who enjoyed his own spliff) at the Kandypens House in Los Angeles.

AllHipHop: At what point did you realize this music thing was for real?

TruCarr: I started rapping after high school. But when I realized it was real… my first video shoot. Matter of fact, when I just seen the whole block pop out. Not even just the block, I seen other people from other blocks pop out too. I’m like “damn, they really out here for a n##ga. We about to go up!”

AllHipHop: How poppin’ were you then?

TruCarr: This was the beginning, just the start of it. It’s been level. After I dropped “Outside” that’s on my TruForerver mixtape, the elevation went up a little more. Because people started to see, “oh okay, you making noise noise now.” At first I was still putting in that work, but now I’m making noise. “This n##ga stamping it.”

AllHipHop: Bring us back to the studio session for “Outside.”

TruCarr: I was outside one night, tryna go see a female. No cap, it was late night. The female did not answer her phone. She told me she was gon’ be there, but she wasn’t there. After that, I came up with the part where I say “I can’t chase no b##ch, I chase goals.” I can’t put myself in those type of positions. Put yourself in a position to get somewhere. I’m chasing goals, I ain’t worried about no b##ch. I was doing some dumb s##t. “Outside” came about because everything I was doing at that moment, I just put it in the lyrics.

AllHipHop: Do you write or do you freestyle?

TruCarr: Freestyle. I freestyle everything.

Manager: Everything!

TruCarr: But I mean, there’s a point in time where a n##ga gon’ have to start writing stuff down. Got to.

AllHipHop: I think some of the biggest artists today still freestyle.

TruCarr: They do, but you still got to go back and still write all this stuff down. If you got a writer to do that, than that’s A1. But other than that…

AllHipHop: What is it about “Outside” resonates with people the most?

AllHipHop: What was it like waking up to the news of Kobe passing?

TruCarr: That s##t sick. We from LA so Kobe been here for 20 years. I’m 24. Not going to lie, I didn’t really watch basketball or any other sports because I was doing whatever I was doing, but a n##ga grew up saying “KOBE!” You about to shoot the ball and say Kobe, so that s##t hurt a lot of motherf##kers. From every race, the Philippines to black to Mexican to white, it hurt a lot of people. It hit the city hard. The city out today! They outside fasho.

AllHipHop: How was the energy at Staples Center?

TruCarr: It was good. It was good as a motherf##ker. LA outside fasho. That’s another reason. That’s more dope too to see everybody outside, and it’s for a reason. Not everybody out here doing some dumb s##t, they out here for the right reasons. LA outside, so that’s love.

Game Gives Epic Tribute To Kobe Bryant On His Face

(AllHipHop News) The Game has added a Kobe Bryant tribute tattoo to his face.

The Los Angeles Lakers superfan has had the late basketball star’s old number eight jersey number inked above his right eyebrow, together with Kobe’s autograph.

The skin art session went down in Glasgow, Scotland following The Game’s recent O2 Academy gig in the city.

The rapper is also planning to release a Kobe Bryant tribute track.

J. Cole & Puma Announce Partnership With Cole-Directed Short Film ‘The Dreamer’

(AllHipHop News) PUMA has officially announced a multi-year partnership with Grammy-winning Hip Hop artist J. Cole. The Dreamville Records boss co-directed a short film titled The Dreamer which will air as a commercial during Sunday’s NBA All-Star game on TNT.

“Our partnership with Cole is deep-rooted,” said Adam Petrick, Global Director of Brand & Marketing at PUMA. “Cole’s involved in product creation, marketing campaigns and cultural guidance.” 

Petric continues, “He is going to be a key player in many of the things we do at PUMA moving forward and we’re excited to work with him not only on a product level but even more importantly as one of our athletes. Cole sits at the intersection of music and sport and represents everything that PUMA stands for as a brand.” 

PUMA’s newest Hoops silhouette, the Sky Dreamer, arrives on puma.com and at Foot Locker stores today (February 13). The new sneaker, which is a relaunch of the original Sky LX from the 1980s and includes a Dreamville “Dreamer” emblem, will be worn on and off the court by PUMA Hoops athletes like Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Sky Dreamer is said to be just the first of many products that Cole will be involved in as part of his deal with the global sports company. In addition, the KOD album creator will drop his own Dreamer/PUMA footwear and apparel later this year.

“Been imagining this for 10 years. It’s time. @PUMA The DREAMER,” tweeted J. Cole on Thursday morning. Previously, Dreamville teamed with PUMA for a special edition of the Clyde Hardwood shoe. Other rap acts such as Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, G-Eazy, YBN Cordae, and Gunna have worked with PUMA as well.

(AllHipHop Rumors) X is gonna give it to ya! DMX is my DUDE. I love that guy! Some 20 years ago, DMX was the hardest rapper out and he changed the landscape of rap music.  X emerged out of the Bad Boy era that was shiny suits, glam, and glitz. Then the dog hit with the force of a comet. 

Well, I am getting the word that DMX is coming back and looking to hit in a similar way. I won’t disclose where DMX is recording this new material, but I can tell you where it is NOT…

It is not in New York City, not Phoenix, Arizona and definitely not his native Yonkers. I can give you a bit of a clue…

Anthony Anderson and the dog linked up at the airport. I will say that it is good to see DMX looking healthy and regular. I am also anxiously awaiting the new music that his is creating. Last year, we heard DMX sounding pretty damn good on the “Godfather of Harlem” soundtrack so the future looks promising. I think the best bet for DMX is to find “the new Lox” and other modern rappers that are reminiscent of the people he came up with. Griselda comes to mind. Also, doing something with the OGs is important too.

(AllHipHop News) News of the Coronavirus spreading in China has many people concerned about a possible global outbreak. However, some social media users are turning the hysteria over the infectious disease also known as COVID-19 into content for jokes.

Television personality Jeannie Mai was apparently the target of negative Coronavirus comments. On The Real, Mai addressed how she and her boyfriend Jeezy were allegedly assailed by trolls because she is Asian-American.

“When Jeezy and I were in Fashion Week just recently and there were pictures posted, I saw in the comments on other blogs a couple of times like, ‘Don’t be catching that Corona, Jeezy,'” said Mai. “And that’s so hurtful because there are people actually dying from this.”

She added, “I also heard that there are schools considering quarantining Asian kids because they just want to keep it safe. We know that misinformation coupled with fear leads to xenophobia. Xenophobia is a deep-rooted fear against foreigners. We just got to do better. Educate yourself so that you don’t give life to fear.”

Amber Rose Says She Isn’t “Too Pretty” For New Face Tattoo

Amber Rose is the queen of speaking her mind. If you follow her on social media, then you should have seen her latest beauty mark-a face tattoo.

The mom-of-two Rose inked her forehead with both of her son’s names. Everyone shared their opinion on the matter saying she “ruined” her face. 

Muva responded to her critics by posting a quick comment to her Instagram. She calls out those who say she is “too pretty” to have a tattoo on her face saying even if they thought she was ugly, they would still lie to her or tell her that she is ugly.
