2Pac Murder Weapon Reportedly Discovered By Cops Then Lost

(AllHipHop News) Even after twenty years, the murder mystery surrounding Tupac Shakur still makes headlines. The latest revelation about the 1996 fatal shooting in Las Vegas comes from A&E’s Who Killed Tupac? docuseries.

TMZ reports the .40 caliber Glock that killed Tupac was discovered in the backyard of the girlfriend of a prominent Crip member that was a rival of the Hip Hop icon. Who Killed Tupac? claims a document allegedly shows Compton police booked the weapon as found property on May 30, 1998.

Apparently, the firearm was transferred to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department in 2000 when the Compton City Council disbanded its law enforcement agency. Six years later, an LASD deputy is said to have run a ballistic test and the gun was a match to the weapon that murdered Pac.

According to TMZ, a federal prosecutor assigned to the case recommended the gun not be turned over to Las Vegas investigators in order to avoid potential conspirators learning about the state of the case. The LVPD now has no clue where the gun is located, and they apparently were unaware of the supposed Compton PD document.

On Who Killed Tupac?, famed civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump shared the news of the alleged murder weapon being found with Tupac’s brother Mopreme Shakur. The finale of the six-part investigative series airs on Tuesday at 10 pm ET.

Eminem Takes Aim At Ivanka Trump On ‘Revival’ Album

(AllHipHop News) Eminem made it very clear he is no fan of Donald Trump with his BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle. His Revival album dropped overnight, and the project included bars aimed at Trump’s daughter Ivanka.

On the song “Framed,” Em raps:

Donald Duck’s on as the Tonka Truck in the yard, but dog how the f-ck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car. Gotta get to the bottom of it to try to solve it. Must go above and beyond, ’cause it’s incumbent upon me, ’cause I feel somewhat responsible for the dumb little blonde girl. That motherf-cking baton twirler that got dumped in the pond.

Slim Shady is known to go after famous people in his music. Throughout his career, the 45-year-old Detroit representative has dissed Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, and others.

The new car is actually a 26th birthday gift for the Migos star.

In footage obtained by TMZ, Offset is left speechless as his girl wishes him a happy birthday and presents him with his new luxury vehicle, wrapped with a huge bow.

She also bought him a top-of-the-range Wraith watch, making it clear she’s rich enough to buy her man expensive gifts.

“I bought it with my money,” she told a bystander.

Offset’s birthday bash was also attended by his Migos bandmates, Big Sean, Lil Yachty, and Ashanti, among others.

The couple left the party in the Rolls Royce.

Russell Simmons Takes Polygraph Test, Starts #NotMe Hashtag

(AllHipHop News) Rap Mogul Russell Simmons has come forward to once again defend himself multiple rape claims.

This time, instead of issuing statements, the 60-year-old Def Jam Founder decided to take a polygraph test, denying that he has raped multiple women over the past 30 years.

Earlier today, Russell Simmons took a polygraph test in hopes of clearing his name.

According to his Representatives, Russell Simmons passed his test and is asking his multiple accusers to take a lie detector test as well.

The mogul has also created the hashtag #NotMe, in hopes of clearing his name.

“Today, I begin to properly defend myself. I will prove without any doubt that I am innocent of all rape charges,” Russell Simmons wrote in a post on Instagram.

“Today, I will focus on ‘The Original Sin’ (Keri Claussen), the claim that created this insane pile on of my #MeToo. Stay tuned! We’ll share information today… And tomorrow the case of Jenny Lumet,” Russell Simmons continued. “My intention is not to diminish the #MeToo movement in anyway, but instead hold my accusers accountable. #NotMe Again, this is not a movement against or even in conjunction with #Metoo . It’s just a statement about my innocence.”

On Wednesday, The New York Times published an expose featuring three women who claim they were sexually harassed, and or actually raped by Simmons.

The Los Angeles Times also ran a separate story, where five women told stories of improper behavior, and worse – straight up rape.

Russell has repeatedly denied the allegations since a model named Keri Claussen Khalighi came forward on November 19th.

Since then multiple women, including screenwriter Jenny Lumet and Sheri Sher of rap group Mercedes Ladies, have claimed Russell Simmons forced them to have sex with him, exposed himself, and created a hostile, sexually charged work environment at Tantris yoga studio in Los Angeles.

Nick Cannon Isn’t Worried About Getting Remarried

(AllHipHop News) Nick Cannon isn’t keen to wed again after splitting from Mariah Carey in 2015.

The rapper, actor and former “America’s Got Talent” host wed Mariah in 2008 after a whirlwind romance, but the couple’s romance faded in 2015 and she went on to spend much of 2016 as businessman James Packer’s fiancee, before they split.

Cannon has enjoyed romance since the end of his marriage but he can’t see himself becoming a husband again – because he is “not ready yet”.

“I do have a theory, if I’m not good at something I ain’t going to keep messing it up,” he told U.S. chat show The Talk. “So relationships, my theory on it is I’d much rather look at bettering myself and having a friend, as opposed to trying to jump into something and be responsible for someone else’s happiness. I’m not ready yet.

“I still feel like I have a lot to go and my kids are my number one focus, so anything besides that I can’t really sign up for it right now.”

However, Cannon, who has six-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Carey and son Golden with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell, is not against adding to his brood.

“I would love more kids, who doesn’t love more kids?,” he said. “I feel like that’s our purpose – to be fruitful and multiple. I would love it, but it’s not really a focus right now. I got these three I got to raise, but then after that hopefully it all works out.”

Cannon has opened up in the past about co-parenting his children with Carey, insisting he and his ex-keep their relationship friendly for the sake of their children.

“We prioritize for the kids more than anything,” he told U.S. news show Extra in August. “That what it’s all about and just be mature adults about the situation… You put your loved ones first and really focus on what’s right.”

Boosie Thinks Some Of These Alleged Sexual Assualt Victims Are Lying

(AllHipHop Rumors) Boosie BadAzz is surely one entertaining and passionate rapper!

During a recent interview with DJ Vlad, he revealed that he’s not buying all of the stories from all of these alleged victims of sexual assault. He feels like it’s getting out of hand, and some of these women are lying.

“I think they starting to go with a latch on now. I don’t think everybody…. All that raping ain’t going on. Somebody lying now. Somebody is definitely lying now. Where all this rape sh-t…because people are getting paid now. People are getting paid now and compensated. A lot of people just following the train. Now I feel like a lot of it went on, but it’s getting out of hand now. Everybody didn’t do all of these rapes man….Somebody bent over and said yes. Period man. These are famous people. Some stuff probably went..but every body man. They just want the money. They settling in court. They just want the money. They don’t want to take it to court. They know they can get the money out of you. It’s a new thing. It’s starting to come back around,” said Boosie.

Boosie said that the early ’90s is coming back around as everyone is getting accused of things that they may not have done.

BadAzz says that some of these women could just be bitter women who were side chicks and now they are mad because the men have successful lives, and they never got updated to the main chick role.

What are your thoughts on Boosie’s comments? Do you think that some of these women are lying?

Vic Mensa Explains New Video Shot In Palestine

https://youtu.be/SQqUuzIlb2k

(AllHipHop News) Chicago Rapper Vic Mensa went to Palestine to shoot the video for his new single “We Could Be Free.”

The rapper went to one of the most troubled regions in the world, where Palestinians and Israelis have been fighting over the disputed city of Jerusalem.

The issue escalated earlier this month, when President Donald Trump moved the United States Embassy to Jerusalem.

Vic Mensa, who shot the video for “We Could Be Free” prior to Trump’s decision, said his goal with the video was to show unity with oppressed people around the world.

“I wanted to make a video to show solidarity with people struggling against oppression all over the world,” Vic Mensa explained.

“I took scenes from the military occupation of a village I visited in Palestine and juxtaposed them with racial violence in America to show how similar our struggles are and imagine a world without division,” the rapper explained.

Take a look at the video for “We Could Be Free.”

Tory Lanez Accused Of Stealing Cassidy & Other’s Bars

(AllHipHop Rumors) Yall just won’t let Tory Lanez be great, or maybe he won’t let himself be great lol!

The singer/rapper has now been accused of stealing other people’s bars for a freestyle that he did on Funkmaster Flex’s show.

No one can deny that he’s a dope artist, he just has to stop taking L’s and stop getting caught slipping.

I mean for the longest, his career was plagued by subliminal shots he threw at Drake, and him being accused of only being able to make hot records if he sampled or remixed other people’s songs.

The videos that have surfaced online discrediting Tory all have the same theme as they are accusing of him of borrowing from everyoneeeeeee including Cassidy & Don Q.

Tory wasted no time clapping back at his haters and the naysayers.

“None of the punchlines they showing are the same … n-ggas tryna expose mans for ‘similar words.’ Get out of here fam. What about the whole 8 minutes of FLAME that’s mans are tryna discredit. Just go on YouTube and type in Tory Lanez freestyle … u won’t find nothing that I haven’t ripped. I been doin this for years,” said Tory.

Maybe Tory just has a similar style and vocabulary.

Whatever the issue is, Tory has made it clear that he does not steal bars!

What are your thoughts? Do you think he’s guilty or not? Check out the clips below.

Russell Simmons Denies Five More Allegations Of Sexual Misconduct

(AllHipHop News) Music mogul Russell Simmons has denied allegations of sexual misconduct made by five women in the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday (December 13).

The Def Jam Recordings co-founder recently stepped down from his companies after former model Keri Claussen Khalighi and screenwriter Jenny Lumet accused him of sexual assault in November.

On Wednesday, the New York Times published accounts from four women, three of which accused Simmons of rape, while the Los Angeles Times published stories by five other women, who have accused him of sexual misconduct.

Sherri Hines, also known as Sheri Sher, from hip-hop group Mercedes Ladies, alleged that Simmons raped her in his office around 1983, while Lisa Kirk said he followed her into the women’s restroom at a nightclub in New York around 1988, pushed her into a stall and began to take out his penis, but he ran out of the bathroom after she caught his eye.

Actress Natashia Williams-Blach, who appeared in a Simmons-produced film, How to Be a Player, said Simmons tried to force her to perform oral sex on him after they went to a yoga class in 1996, massage therapist Erin Beattie alleged he exposed himself and asked her to touch his penis while she was giving him a massage in his hotel room, and “Insecure” actress Amanda Seales said he used vulgar language to ask if they ever had sex during a meeting in 2016.

The music mogul has vehemently denied all the claims in the story in a statement, which reads, “These new stories range from the patently untrue to frivolous and hurtful claims… I want to restate categorically what I have said previously: I have never been violent or abusive to any women in any way at any time in my entire life.”

He also posted a note on Instagram, which read, “I have never had a sexual encounter that was not consensual or lawful. Ever.” He shared his full statement, in which he said he was devastated by the claims which have “shocked me to my core.”

“What I will not accept is responsibility for what I have not done,” he wrote. “I will relentlessly fight against any untruthful character assassination that paints me as a man of violence.”

Eve’s Husband Told Her His Father Didn’t Like Black People

(AllHipHop Rumors) I think Eve is certainly here to stay on ‘The Talk’.

The Philly rapper-turned-actress-turned television host has certainly been keeping folks entertained from her comments on Nicki Minaj’s risque cover and a story about some mystery fellow female emcee trying to steal her shine.

Now Eve is back with another personal story.

E-V-E recently reflected on the early days of dating her husband, Maximillion Cooper, and while doing so, she shared a pretty interesting story.

During a recent episode of ‘The Talk’, Eve gave her reaction to model Ashley Graham’s grandmother racistly reacting to her black boyfriend.

Eve revealed that when she was going to meet Max’s parents he told her that he doesn’t like black people…….but it was all a huge joke on Eve.

“When my husband and I first started dating, I was going to meet his parents and he thought it would be funny to tell me that his dad didn’t like black people. He was kidding,” said Eve.

According to Eve, her husband has a sick sense of humor.

“You have to know my husband, he thinks stuff like this is funny and it was funny, because his parents are amazing and beautiful. But he did tell me that and I was terrified. I was like, ‘How could you not prepare them, what did you say, why couldn’t you tell them?,’ and then I got there and they were amazing, but I was so stressed out,” added Eve.

I could only imagine how stressed out Eve was. Thankfully his parents weren’t really racist. Carry on.

Future Settles Legal Battle With Rocko

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Future has agreed to settle an 18-month legal spat with his producer, Rocko.

The hitmaker sued his former pal after claiming the rapper struck a side deal with Epic Records that cut Rocko out of millions.

Future countersued, insisting his deal with Rocko was never exclusive.

But the Christmas spirit seems to have showered the “Mask Off” rapper with goodwill – the producer claims the legal battle is over and his old friend has agreed to pay up.

Both sides have requested a dismissal of the case, according to TMZ, and the original plaintiff’s lawyers tell the outlet their client is happy with the “very successful result.”

It is not clear what the settlement fee is, but Rocko was originally seeking $10 million.

Quavo Gives Old High School Team LeBron 15’s

(AllHipHop News) Migos star Quavo has given his old high school’s basketball team an early Christmas gift by handing the players exclusive Lebron 15s footwear.

The rapper turned up at Berkmar High School in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia for a basketball practice in a flashy white Lamborghini and met up with the players before handing out sneakers in the dressing room.

Basketball ace LeBron James – the inspiration for the 15s – was impressed by Quavo’s act of generosity, which was posted online, and praised the rapper in a tweet, which read: “S/O the homie @QuavoStuntin! Super dope what he did for his high school.”

A Conversation With The Boy Illinois On ‘Windy’, Paying Homage & More

(AllHipHop News) I first discovered The Boy Illinois as an opening act for a 2016 Lupe Fiasco show in Atlanta. One of the most memorable moments of the night was watching the audience react to the Chicago native’s Kurtis Blow/Nas/Lauryn Hill homage “Ruling Class ‘15.”

Over the next 18 months, Illi continued to tour and occasionally stop by Sway In The Morning to spit a freestyle, but the loafer aficionado hadn’t dropped a project since 2015’s Dusable. That changed in October when The Boy Illinois returned with a 9-track audio dedication to his hometown.

Windy features fellow Chitown representatives Rico Recklezz, YP, Saba, Frsh Waters, and others. Sections of the mixtape once again showcased Illi’s admiration for the iconic emcees that laid the groundwork for him to build his brand of Hip Hop.

Last week, The Boy Illinois and I connected on the phone to discuss his latest project. Other topics like paying tribute to OutKast and Tupac Shakur as well as the problematic personal life of R. Kelly were part of the conversation too.

[ALSO READ: EXCLUSIVE: The Boy Illinois Talks Touring With Lupe Fiasco, Upcoming Project & Embracing His Haitian Roots]

AllHipHop: What led to the two year break between the last project and Windy?

The Boy Illinois: A majority of that was because I was on tour with Lupe for like a year and a half, so we weren’t able to sit for two or three months to do a project. It was like we were on the road for three months, off another month, then we’re back. So I was dropping songs, but I couldn’t put a project together. I like to sit with it for a second. After the tour, it was like, “Alright, we’re going straight to the studio 24/7.” We got like three other projects besides Windy finished.

AllHipHop: So you have more projects on the way?

The Boy Illinois: Yeah. The original project that was supposed to come out under Priority as my EP was Road Winds. But I had a conversation with my manager and Malik Yusef, and they told me I needed to put a mixtape out. I had all this material that I was sitting on. It was like literally a must that we made Windy. It was just me linking up with all my people from Chicago. It’s pretty much all Chicago producers and features. My publicist named the project when we took it to her to listen to the songs. She was like, “This is just Chicago, so you gotta call it Windy.”

AllHipHop: You mentioned Priority. Can you explain your relationship with them?

The Boy Illinois: They’re a very good middleman. We have a great relationship with the people there. I think Trackster is at Priority. He’s from Chicago, so we got some fam up there. No I.D, he’s from Chicago. That’s Capitol which is like the same thing. They’re the third party, strictly distribution. So whenever we got some sh-t and we feel like we need a bigger platform to release it on, instead of doing it ourselves, we can pitch it to them and see where we go from there. That door is open now off of the “Dancing Like Diddy” joint. So we’re gonna use it to our advantage and hopefully we’re both gonna gain something good out of it.

AllHipHop: Do you know if Diddy saw that video?

The Boy Illinois: I have no clue. Everybody is like, “Yeah, he’s seen it by now.” My big homie Twista was like, “He sees everything, so he’s probably seen it by now.” I was like, “I don’t think he’s seen it.” Twista said, “Nah, I’m pretty sure he’s seen it.” Somebody else in the industry told me, “Yeah, he probably saw it already.” It would be dope. Even if I don’t know nothing about it, as long as he’s seen it, that’s cool with me.

AllHipHop: When I saw the cover art for Windy, I instantly recognized you were paying homage to OutKast. Why did you draw inspiration from Aquemini?

The Boy Illinois: I get a lot of people saying I look like André 3000 because of my hair and the way I dress. That’s one aspect of it. On the spiritual aspect of it, we had just come into the Age of Aquarius and you have Aquemini the album. So it was paying homage to one of my favorite groups, and at the same time, being it corresponds with the universe, I wanted to do that. And [OutKast] had the women [on the album cover], and women represent a powerful aspect of the forces of nature. The woman at the top is Oya. In the Yoruba religion, she is like the storm that comes through and destroys thing so that you can build anew. The woman at the bottom is her mother Yemaya which is the ruler of the waters. So the spiritual aspect and Hip Hop, mash it together and you got Windy.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BanS3KLlAlb/?hl=en&taken-by=theboyillinois

AllHipHop: Besides the OutKast connection, when you listen to the project you hear that you make a lot of references to legendary artists, like with the 2Pac soundbite on “Salute.” There’s been a lot of conversation in the culture lately about the “generational gap.” Why is it so important for you to show love to the emcees that came before you?

The Boy Illinois: I was raised by good OGs. No matter what they were into in the streets, they knew what they were doing was ultimately going to lead to some sort of demise. I got a lot of the “you’re a hooper” or “you rap, you need to move from this area.” So being raised on that and being around older cats, this was the music I grew up on. I hung around older folks, me and my homie Rel who’s one of my producers. Hanging around older folks all the time, you pick up certain traits and values. Not only that, you pick up the music they listen to. Because of the lack of education being passed down on a cultural basis, you want to reinforce it without having to preach it. That’s kind of one of the ways I do it.

AllHipHop: You recently dropped a video for “Didn’t I.” Are you planning to create more visuals from tracks off Windy?

The Boy Illinois: We’re probably gonna do seven of the nine videos. We finished “90/94 Freestyle” with my brother YP. We’re getting ready to shoot “Cool” with Saba and Frsh Waters. After that, we’re gonna be running with Rico Recklezz. Then at the end of the year, I’m probably gonna shoot “Run Around.” So we’ll probably have four more videos coming out before the end of this month.

AllHipHop: Before the end of the month?

The Boy Illinois: Yeah, well, probably two of them. I know my folks are gonna be like, “Nope. We’re not gonna release all of them.” [laughs] But we’re shooting all of them within the next two weeks. So who knows?

AllHipHop: You stay on it.

The Boy Illinois: Yeah, it’s no games. I’m at a point now where I haven’t been in this position before, so I gotta keep showing and proving. It’s work, work, work.

AllHipHop: What was the thought process behind the “Othello” track posted to SoundCloud?

The Boy Illinois: That’s a great question. I really just posted that to post it. I had been sitting on that for a minute, and I was like, “I’m not even gonna tell nobody I released it, so whoever follows me on SoundCloud are gonna be able to hear it.” It was just something I did in the studio. I have tons of songs. Free Chill. I record out of 1st & 15th Studios. Since the top of the year I’ve just been recording. So I just put it out there to put it out there. People will probably stumble across it later.

AllHipHop: I noticed a tweet that you posted where you tweeted about R. Kelly still having this large support, even after all these years of abuse and sexual misconduct allegations. There’s been a lot of news recently about these famous men, and in some cases women, facing accusations. Why do you think R. Kelly still has this large, supportive fan base despite all these allegations?

The Boy Illinois: As I said, we as people, men and women, and especially melanated, black, or whatever you refer to yourself as – we have a syndrome and condition that we keep going back to the people that don’t like us and the people who abuse us for some reason.

AllHipHop: Like Stockholm syndrome?

The Boy Illinois: Yes. If you look at R. Kelly’s victims, they’re young black women. Then you go to his fan base, and his fan base is older black women. There aren’t dudes like, “I’m finna go to this R. Kelly concert.” I’ve never heard that before. If a dude goes, he’s going with his girl or because a lot of women are gonna be there. So predominately, the people that support him are the people that he’s abusing. The same goes to the retail game with things men and women buy, knowing that these people don’t like us, we still support them. That’s a big part of it. And when the fashion or the music is so good, it’s hard to detach yourself from it.

AllHipHop: On a lighter note, I asked this question last year, so I wanted to check back in with you. How many pairs of loafers do you own now?

The Boy Illinois: Oh man, I have more gym shoes now. But I feel like I’m at like five pair of loafers. I live with my girl now, so my closet is pretty small now compared to hers.
