(AllHipHop News) Boosie Badazz picked the perfect time to show respect to a Hip Hop legend. LL Cool J was recognized as a member of the Kennedy Center Honors class of 2017 on Sunday, and the weekend also saw the release of Boosie’s “I’m Bad” music video.

The clip features the 35-year-old southern rap star dressed like LL from the original “I’m Bad” video from 1987. Badazz incorporated bars from the Bigger and Deffer track as well.

Besides LL Cool J, Boosie is also paying homage to another Hip Hop icon. His BooPac album will hit the internet on December 15.

As a result, the country has been engaged in a conversation about rape culture and sexual harassment. Singer-songwriter Ashanti spoke about the topic while on The Breakfast Club, and she shared her own experience dealing with supposed unseemly actions from a man in the music industry.

“I was in this situation where this producer – who’s super dope, super talented, has a gazillion number ones. He was trying to take me out. [He said,] ‘If you do this and we go out, I’ll give you all of this for free,'” stated Ashanti. “I’m just like, ‘What? That’s never gonna happen.’ Then he was like, ‘Alright, I need $45,000 for this one, I need $50,000 for this one.'”

The Grammy winner continued, “He didn’t understand that I had a bunch of big brothers at the time. I had to get it handled. That’s smooth now, but it happened.”

Ashanti added she is “sure” the producer has done that to other female artists. However, the “Say Less” vocalist chose not to reveal the individual’s name.

(AllHipHop News) Percy “Master P” Miller is looking for new talent for a sequel to his 1998 comedy I Got The Hook-Up. The founder of No Limit Records announced a worldwide casting call for the movie.

The original film starred Master P and Anthony Johnson. In a video posted to P’s Instagram page with Johnson, the New Orleans native declares I Got The Hook-Up 2 is “the funniest movie ever.”

(AllHipHop News) Back in 2015, A$AP Rocky confused many of his Instagram followers when he uploaded more than 160 photos that eventually created elaborate collages by Robert Gallardo. Two weeks later, Rocky released his sophomore studio LP At.Long.Last.ASAP.

The A$AP Mob member has once again altered his IG page. Rocky only has one photo on the social media platform at the moment, which has some observers wondering if his third album is close to dropping.

“My new album is really about testing new sounds. People are scared to test new sounds, so they go with what’s current ’cause it’s the easy thing to do,” Rocky told GQ in October. “The top 100 songs sound a certain way. People cater more to that because it’s a bigger demographic behind that, or it’s a guaranteed demographic behind that. I prefer to experiment and have my crowd grow with me and to reach new crowds. I don’t just rap—I actually make music. That’s why it takes time. These sonics represent me.”

When asked if the LP would arrive in 2017, he responded, “Yes, sir.”

A$AP Rocky has already appeared on several songs released this year. For example, the New York City representative teamed with Tyler, The Creator for “Who Dat Boy,” Lana Del Rey for “Summer Bummer,” G-Eazy for “No Limit,” and A$AP Ferg for “The Mattress.”

There have also been reports he’s partnering with French Montana for a joint project. That announcement came a few weeks before Rocky recently stated he was “the greatest f-cking artist of all time.”

(AllHipHop News) Grammy award-winning producer Jim Jonsin has his eyes set on Nashville, with his new record label Oak Hollow.

The producer, who has produced hits for Eminem, Beyonce, T.I., Lil Wayne and others, relocated to Nashville in 2016.

According to Jim, he’s looking to shake up Nashville’s traditional country music scene with Hip-Hop music.

The producer has already signed Nathan “Littlefoot” Fouts, who is the first artist signed to Hollow Oak.

“I’ve had years of experience and rarely get surprised by an artist these days,” Jim Jonsin said. “What I love most about Nathan is his ability to borrow from the greats of the past while always staying current.”

According to Jim, Littlefoot is a perfect blend of rap, pop, and soul.

The first single Hollow Oak is promoting from Littlefoot is titled “For You” and is available now.

“Jim pushes me to not settle for crap just because it came out of my mouth,” Littlefoot explained. “He strives for perfection and has taught me so much about making real records.”

According to reports, prosecutors are seeking to confiscate a Pablo Picasso painting, in addition to a rare album by Wu-Tang Clan.

Shkreli, who is facing 20 years in prison years for securities fraud, went on a spending spree and bought a one of a kind Wu-Tang Clan album titled Once Upon a Time in Shaolin back in 2015 for $2 million.

According to the Feds, they want the assets back because Martin Shkreli allegedly purchased the art with more than $7.3 million in ill-gotten funds.

In addition to the Picasso and the Wu album, prosecutors want to seize his other assets, including Lil Wayne’s unreleased album Tha Carter V, a World War II code-breaking machine, and his interest in Turing Pharmaceuticals.

(AllHipHop News) New rap star XXXTentacion is facing more legal hurdles in a brutal sexual assault case.

XXXTentacion, born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, is facing charges that include aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering.

Prosecutors claim the rapper called his ex-girlfriend shortly after he was charged in October of 2016, and attempted to intimidate the woman and a friend.

According to an affidavit obtained by Pitchfork , prosecutors have separated the cases.

In fact, the witness intimidation charge is a more serious crime than the abuse he is accused of, which includes attempting to penetrate the woman with a barbecue pitchfork and beating and strangling her while she was pregnant.

According to Pitchfork, the witness tampering charges could land the rapper a life sentence.

Investigators in the case also believe XXXTentacion or someone affiliated with him submitted a phony affidavit to the court, claiming the woman was seeking to drop all of the charges against the rapper.

The next hearing in the case is set for December 15th.

Earlier this year, the hip-hop star reportedly filed legal documents declaring his intention to produce make-up, perfumes, lotions and cosmetics under the brand DONDA, the creative company he set up in 2012 in his late mother’s name.

However, Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian has now confirmed that he’s currently not working on beauty items.

Missy shared footage of her stage entrance and some of her performance to “Get Ur Freak On,” and revealed in the caption that she had been in hospital shortly beforehand.

“#Fact no1 knew I was in the hospital the night before I had to perform at the SuperBowl & when I heard the beginning of Get Ya Freak On playing I was SO SHOOK (nervous face emoji) I said Lord I can’t turn back now God pulled me through I will NEVER forget this night & I’m 4ever HUMBLED (sic),” she wrote, followed by praying and love heart emojis.

She didn’t specify why she was in hospital.

However, she was diagnosed with autoimmune illness Graves’ disease in 2008. She told People in 2011 that she no longer needed medication to manage the condition, which affects the thyroid.

“I’ve been off medication for about a year and I’m completely managing the condition through diet and exercise,” she said.

During her appearance, Missy performed a medley of “Get Ur Freak On” and “Work It” before going into “Lose Control.”

“Prince’s Last Year” will chronicle the 12 months leading up to the music icon’s untimely passing in April, 2016, with the film including details about a special gig he staged at the White House during former U.S. President Barack Obama’s last term in office, as well as footage from his “Piano & A Microphone Tour,” which ended up becoming his final trek.

The one-off documentary will also explore Prince’s social activism, politics, and the 57-year-old’s secret struggle with prescription painkillers, which ultimately cost him his life.

The project is being developed for bosses at British network Channel 4.

According to police , Samuel Irizarry aka F.A.M.E. (F### All My Enemies), was busted after an investigation revealed he was selling cocaine in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Earlier this week, the RGF Productions artist was caught with two women conducting a drug transaction, with a two-year-old child in their presence.

All three were arrested on various charges, including drug distribution and child endangerment and sent to the Bergen County Jail.

F.A.M.E., also known as Fame Zoo, has recorded a number of songs with Fetty Wap and has toured extensively with his fellow Paterson, New Jersey native.
