“Just like artist trusted me to write songs for them I wonder what artist would take a chance on me directing a video for them,” tweeted Missy on Monday.

R&B vocalist Janelle Monáe was quick to make it clear she was interested in working with the “Work It” performer. Missy responded, “I’d love to [direct] your videos already be NEXT LEVEL SH!T!”

Monáe’s “Make Me Feel” video co-star Tessa Thompson then jumped into the conversation. The Thor: Ragnarok actress posted, “Wait. Can I be in this one too tho. I’ll be an extra and cater it.”

Throughout her career, Missy was a co-director for some of her own visual content. Twitter is a platform where business associations have been formed, so it’s not inconceivable that Miss E could be behind the camera for a future Janelle Monáe production.

(AllHipHop News) Yesterday, footage of Blac Chyna attempting to hit someone with a stroller at Six Flags Magic Mountain began circulating online. Chyna was at the amusement park on Easter Sunday with her new boyfriend YBN Almighty Jay and her two children.

The incident could cause the former reality show star to go back to court over her daughter. Dream’s father, Rob Kardashian, is supposedly very upset that their child was put in harm’s way.

Chyna claimed her outburst at Six Flags was the reaction to another unknown woman touching her 1-year-old baby. She posted on Instagram, “I do not condone violence nor am I a violent person but shout out to all of the amazing mothers out there that will protect their child at all cost.”

In 2016, his “One Dance” single featuring WizKid and Kyla led the Hot 100 for 10 weeks as well. “God’s Plan” also became only the fifth song to see at least its first 10 weeks in the top spot.

(AllHipHop News) Four months after “Bartier Cardi” hit airwaves and streaming platforms, Cardi B finally presented the accompanying music video for the record. The visuals debuted on VH1.

The vid is now available for viewing on YouTube. Atlanta rapper 21 Savage shows up to perform his verse on the track, and Cardi’s boyfriend Offset makes a cameo in the clip.

Cardi B’s Invasion Of Privacy album is scheduled to arrive on April 6.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Mo has offered some insight into Fabolous’ state of mind just after he was accused of brutally assaulting his girlfriend Emily B.

Lil Mo, who collaborated with Fab on the hit singles “Superwoman” and “Can’t Let You Go,” said Fab was appreciative of her giving him a phone to call to check on him.

“I was just talking to him,” Lil Mo told Revolt TV on March 30, just days before a video of an angry Fabolous surfaced, showing him threatening Emily and her father.

“He’s good. I hit him up and said ‘I love you.’ He hit me back and said ‘I love you too and I appreciate you, Mo,'” she said.

The 40-year-old rapper was involved in a confrontation with Emily at their home in Edgewood, New Jersey, where the rapper allegedly assaulted her, resulting in the loss of her two front teeth.

Lil Mo stood by the rapper, who has been charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.

According to Mo, something didn’t seem right with the accusations that have been leveled at Fabolous.

“I don’t know the logistics. Honestly, even though I’m a part of the culture, I don’t get involved in [gossip]. I know a lot of stuff is hype. How did they get this information? People have turned this thing from one thing to another. What the f##k is going on?”

“Something’s not adding up,” Lil Mo said. “Yall had time to get guns up out of there, b##ch you aint have time to leave? I don’t know what’s going, but right now its not my business or my place. My only loyalty is to him. And if that is the situation, then this is going to take some serious damage control.”

(AllHipHop News) Bryan “Birdman” Williams sat down in the studio for the second part of an interview with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 on Apple Music.

Birdman stopped by to promote the Apple Music documentary “Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story,” when the conversation turned to his relationship with Lil Wayne.

During the discussion, Birdman talked about fixing his relationship with Lil Wayne in the middle of their $51 million lawsuit.

The pair have been in the headlines recently over the lawsuit, which claims Cash Money owes tens-of-millions in back royalties to Lil Wayne and his Young Money imprint.

After three years of hostilities, the two men have ended their personal beef and were photographed together at two different events in the past month. According to Birdman, he and Wayne are working towards an agreement for the sake of their families.

“I got that. I’m going to make sure he’s straight, we straight, and we gonna continue to do what we started. It’s important to me to finish the way it started,” Birdman said.

“I ain’t worrying about it benefitting me, he deserves that from me. And I’m going to have him that blessing. (AllHipHop News) Rapper Gucci Mane has reportedly paid over $820,000 to settle his tax debt.

Officials at America’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) previously slapped the Gucci Please hitmaker with an $823,000 lien stemming from unpaid taxes for 2008, 2010, and 2011 and they were reportedly looking to seize his assets and property to pay off the debt.

However, according to reports, Gucci Mane, real name Radric Davis, recently settled the debt and officials released him from the lien last month.

Gucci Mane has been working to clean up his legal issues since he was released from prison in May 2016, after spending almost two years behind bars on aggravated assault charges.

In September, he was handed another legal victory after a judge granted him an early release, two years before his probation was originally scheduled to end.

The singer’s company has filed documents opposing Eymun Talasazan’s attempt to trademark “Starboy.”

The 28-year-old, real name Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, alleges Eymun is trying to capitalize on his success as he filed the trademark request after The Weeknd’s “Starboy” single and album were released in 2016.

And 11 days after the singer and Marvel Comics announced a Starboy comic book, Eymun reportedly filed another trademark to cover use of the name in comic books.

(AllHipHop News) Despite crooked cops, a co-sign from the D.A. and the Governor, a protest, and rallies in Philadelphia, Judge Genece Brinkley has Meek Mill’s request for freedom again.

Judge Brinkley sent the rap star to prison for violating the terms of his probation from a 2008 drug and gun case.

In addition to Judge Brinkley’s Court Clerk asking for Meek to pay her son’s tuition, Meek’s lawyers pointed to crooked cops’ fabricated testimony in the rapper’s original trial as a reason to overturn the sentence.

Over the past month, Meek received a co-sign from the D.A. and the Governor, but that was not enough to satisfy the ruthless Judge during today’s hearing (April 2).

“This ruling from Judge Genece Brinkley simply reaffirms the fact she has turned Meek Mill’s case into a personal vendetta,” Meek’s lawyer Joseph Tacopina said in a statement.

“In spite of the recommendations from the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, which was supported by Governor Tom Wolf, the judge continues to stand alone in supporting Officer Reginald Graham’s perjured testimony as well as his criminal behavior that has been documented.”

Judge Genece Brinkley upheld a December 2017 ruling, where she labeled Meek a “danger to the community,” due to failed drug tests, a fight in a St. Louis airport, traveling without permission. Meek’s lawyers are hoping to take the case to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

(AllHipHop News) Drake’s legal battle with producer Detail is heating up in a legal motion filed by the superstar rapper.

The rapper is urging a judge to bar Detail and his lawyers from using evidence from social media in the upcoming assault trial.

The rapper, born Aubrey Graham, is being sued for supposedly commanding his bodyguard to attack the producer at his Calabasas home in back in 2014.

According to Detail, Drake wanted to sign him, after he put in work on Drake’s#### album Nothing Was The Same.

Detail claims he decided to reject the offer, which upset Drake, who allegedly ordered his bodyguard Chubbs to execute the attack.

Chubbs is accused of breaking Detail’s jaw during the brutal attack, while yelling “I will beat all your a####, including your b##ches. I don’t give a f##k. I will hit you again. Do you think Drake is soft? You think Drake’s a punk?” according to legal documents filed by Detail.

Drake’s legal team has a contrary view and claims Chubb’s was acting in self-defense.

The rapper is asking a judge to ban any evidence from websites, social media accounts as hearsay, which would not be admissible as evidence in court.

Drake’s legal team claims the abundance of stories about his life on the Internet could prejudice potential jurors.

“Due to the plethora of news stories available, and after observing Detail’s inclination towards muddying the waters by introducing said news stories during the deposition of Chubbs, Drake is concerned Detail may try to introduce the same stories at trial,” according to the motion filed by Drake’s legal team.

Detail is demanding unspecified damages for the assault case, including funds to cover his medical bills.

Drake is also asking a judge to toss the entire lawsuit.

(AllHipHop News) A Chicago, Illinois rap concert headlined by Blac Youngsta and Rich The Kid had to be scrapped last week over local “security concerns.”

The hip-hop stars were due to perform at radio station 107.5’s WGCI-FM Take Over Jam at the Chicago Theater, alongside fellow MCs YFN Lucci, Kash Doll, and Valee, but police shut down the gig just hours before showtime.

Organizers alerted fans to the change of plans in a statement issued via Twitter, writing, “We have been advised by Chicago law enforcement to cancel tonight’s #TakeOverJam due to specific safety and security concerns for the surrounding area.

“As a result, we regret that the event has been canceled.”

Authorities have yet to comment on the specific threat, but reports suggest police had received tip offs about the possible presence of gang members at the gig, according to the Chicago Tribune.

(AllHipHop News) Some digital sleuths thought they had exposed Belcalis “Cardi B” Almanzar as a song thief. An old video of East Coast spitter Pardison Fontaine rapping lyrics that also appear in Cardi’s “Be Careful” began circulating on social media.

It turns out Fontaine is actually credited as a writer on the song, under the name Jordan Thorpe. In addition, Pardi and Cardi have been working together for awhile. Thorpe also co-wrote the Grammy-nominated “Bodak Yellow.”

With the “stealing” rumors spreading across the net, Pardison may have delivered a message that responds to the noise around Belcalis. He tweeted, “Alotta ppl gonna feel silly.”

Pardison Fontaine is a recording artist in his own right. The videos for his tracks “WOOOA,” “In The Field,” and “Food” have collected over 100,000 views on YouTube, respectively.

A remix of “In The Field” includes contributions from Fabolous and Casanova 2x. In 2015, Pardi also got a Cardi B cameo for his “Too Good” video.

Khelani was caught up in the songwriting controversy involving Cardi as well. However, the R&B/Pop singer stated in a video, “The story about somebody posting a song from 4 years ago… Somebody just dropped a song from 4 years ago, a guy. Me posting a Cardi song, with her own lyric from the song, had nothing to do with it.”

(AllHipHop News) C-Murder’s hunger strike has proven to be advantageous, now that the rapper has been transferred out of Angola Prison.

In January, C-Murder started a three-week hunger strike over the circumstances he and other inmates were being imprisoned under.

C-Murder’s publicist Tammy “Ty” Page verified the rapper was transferred to Elayn Hunt Correctional Facility in Louisiana last week.

The conditions at Elayn Hunt are reportedly much different than the facilities at Angola, where C-Murder was one of over 6,000 prisoners serving hard time for violent crimes.

C-Murder was sent to Angola in 2011, after a decade-long legal battle to prove his innocence of the murder of a 16-year-old named Steven Thomas in 2002.

The rapper was originally convicted of the crime in 2003, but the verdict was overturned in 2006 when it was revealed prosecutors expunged the criminal records of their witnesses to bolster their credibility on the stand.

C-Murder, born Corey Miller, was released from prison during the appeal process.

But he was eventually sent back with an automatic life sentence, after being convicted during a controversial 2009 retrial.

In that trial, jurors became deadlocked after deliberating for almost two days, until a judge commanded them to reach a verdict which unfortunately was a guilty one.

But just days after the 2009 trial, a juror named Mary Jacobs came forward and revealed the changed her “not guilty” vote to “guilty.”

Jacobs claimed she did this to protect another juror who was being berated by other members of the jury, for believing the prosecution had not proven their case.

A rep for the rapper told AllHipHop.com C-Murder was feeling good about the transfer as he appeals his latest conviction.

“C appears to be in good spirit and looking to what’s upcoming in the future,” a rep for the rapper told AllHipHop.com.

As for C-Murder’s present-day situation, he will be reunited with fellow New Orleans rapper McKinley “Mac” Phillips.

Ironically, Mac also claims he was wrongfully convicted of shooting and killing a man inside a nightclub in Slidell, Louisiana in 2000.

Like C-Murder’s case, there was no physical evidence against Mac, multiple “witnesses” who claimed they were pressured by prosecutors for testimony to convict the rapper, and a confession from Mac’s bodyguard claimed he fired the fatal shot.
