Lil Uzi Vert Releases Animated Music Video

A few weeks back, Lil Uzi Vert dropped a surprise 4-track EP titled “Luv Is Rage 1.5” to hold fans over until he releases the much anticipated “Luv Is Rage 2.” Today, the Philly superstar returns with an animated visual off the EP, for it’s stand-out track “XO TOUR LIF3” produced by TM88.

Watch below.

Woman Claims Miguel Sexually Assaulted Her

(AllHipHop Rumors) Now I’m never one to victim blame, or discredit folks off the rip, but I can’t help but think that this one doesn’t sound right.

So a woman is claiming that singer Miguel sexually assaulted her as he allegedly pulled one of her breasts out at a show.

Now listen, I’ve seen and heard all kinds of things first hand in this industry, hell in the world, and I don’t put anything past anyone, but here’s why social media isn’t believing this woman’s story.

The woman makes a video fondling herself and rubbing on herself trying to be sexy while telling us the story of what allegedly happened between her and Miguel. I don’t care if a woman was butt naked, that doesn’t give the man the right to touch them, but many wondered that if this really happened to the woman, why would she try to post a seductive video on the ‘gram instead of notifying the police. The woman recorded a video saying,

“Went out to this one club ran into the singer Miguel and I went up to him and I introduced myself and asked him if we can take a picture. He was like yeah sure he was super cool at first. And I was like you know I just want to introduce myself to you. My name is Xian Bass. I’m a student at the University of New Mexico. I’m majoring in health and human services. I’m really passionate about sexual health and sexual education.. getting folks tested. I love your song “Adorn”. I’ve made myself orgasm to it many of times, and I love the song. Thank you. So cool we take a selfie; cute little photo. But right after we take the photo he reaches his hand down my shirt, and takes my breast out of my top….I froze because it was so sudden.”

We weren’t there, so it’s not completely fair to weigh in on the incident. Surely there may be camera footage or witnesses who were nearby right?! Miguel seems to be happily in a long-term relationship, the woman doesn’t seem like his type, and he doesn’t seem like the type to do anything like this, but you never know! Hmmmmm what are your thoughts? Do you believe her?

Police Investigate Ed Sheeran’s Rapping Cousin After Threats Clear Magazine Office

(AllHipHop News) Ed Sheeran’s cousin’s love for hip-hop is so great, it’s landed him under investigation.

Ed’s cousin is a rapper who goes by the name of Alonestar.

His trouble’s started last Friday (March 10), when he hosted a record release party at a bar in London.

A writer for Essex Magazine wrote a brutal review, claiming Alonestar was simply trying to ride the coattails of his famous cousin Ed, who currently has nine hit singles on the UK charts.

Alonestar, born Jethro Sheeran, was p##### with the article, and sent messages to writers at Essex, claiming he was going to come up to the building with members of the infamous “G####” gang to “chop it up.”

“This is a massive worry. For any artist to take such exception to a review is ridiculous,” said Essex’s editor, Matthew Mattino.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3090955/ed-sheerans-rapper-cousin-probed-by-cops-over-threats-to-reviewers-after-being-compared-to-itch-you-cant-shake-off/

The threats from Ed’s rapping cousin, whose father is Ed’s dad’s brother, were taken serious.

So much so that the police made the staff at Essex Magazine pack up and go home for the day.

The cops are involved and they are investigating Alonestar’s threats.

The Internet Goes Crazy Over Woman Claiming She Is Janet Jackson’s Secret Child!

(AllHipHop Rumors) It doesn’t take much for Black Twitter/ Black Instagram to have a field day, and yesterday we all had some great material once again!

Although Janet Jackson and James DeBarge have been plagued for years with rumors that they have had a secret child, this one doesn’t seem like the real person even if the rumor is true.

DeBarge’s mother recently spoke out claiming that her son and Jackson did in fact have a secret child that they’ve been hiding from the public eye for over three decades.

Now the woman, Tiffany Whyte decided to speak with Radar Online in an exclusive interview claiming that she is in fact the daughter of DeBarge and Jackson.

“My name is Tiffany Whyte and I’m the daughter of Janet Jackson and James DeBarge. She has been denying me for many years. I’ve waited 31 years. I’ve been kept a secret for a very long time and I want people to know the truth that I’m not a liar,” said Whyte.

Whyte claims that she and DeBarge’s mother went and got a DNA test that proves that they are related, and that Janet and James are her parents.

Whyte also claims that she’s not seeking fame as she just wants to live out her truth.

“I don’t want to get famous off of this. Trust me. I don’t. I don’t. I just want my mother. I want my father. I want the woman who I could never get a chance to be held by as a child, to sing to me, to tell me that she loves me. I want to know the truth,” she said.

#AHHPowerfulWomen: HOT97’s Music Executive, TT Torrez Describes the Importance of Enjoying the Process

#AHHPowefulWomen

(AllHipHop Features)

“Being focused on success wasn’t a choice it was a need. It was literally a need to succeed.” -TT Torrez

Within minutes of our call with Music Executive, TT Torrez, we felt the vibe and an understanding of the grit and determination that this powerful woman embodied. The multi-media personality and music executive at HOT97 humbly made it clear that she’s worked very hard to be where she is. From a rocky start, being on her own since she was 14-years-old, she dealt with the harsh realities of many inner city kids. It wasn’t until she got to college that she discovered her love and passion for radio. Torrez made it her mission to make her way into the radio world and locked in her first professional role at WCHH Hot 92.7 in Charlotte, NC as a part-time radio host. She then moved further south to WSSP Power 94.3 in Charleston, SC to be a midday personality and producer for the esteemed Russ Parr Morning Show.

After her time at The Russ Parr Morning Show, she spent four years traveling for Music Choice, writing and producing for television shows, and hosting on-camera interviews with celebrities. She even found time to work weekends as an on-air talent for the legendary WUSL Power 99 in Philadelphia.

Torrez worked full-time as the afternoon personality and Music Director for WCDX iPower 92.1 in Richmond, VA prior to moving to New York’s Hot 97. Given her humble beginnings, Torrez ensures that she makes time to give back to the community through philanthropic efforts including her “Pink Birthday Party” charity event benefiting breast cancer research and the “I Will Wait Until I Graduate” campaign which was founded by Torrez to encourage young girls to graduate before parenting a child. Torrez recently received the award for “Best Community Service” from the VA Association of Broadcasters for her “Prom-A-Thon” campaign that provided over 500 girls with prom dresses, make-up and hair to attend their high school prom.

Despite being an exclusive media source in her own right, Torrez has also been featured in various media outlets including The Source, Star, and VIBE magazine, television’s Nancy Grace, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, and blog sites like necolebitchie.com, bossip.com, and globalgrind.com. She also continues to cover the red carpet at the MTV VMA’s, the BET Awards, the BET Hip-Hop Awards and The Grammys.

Ms. Torrez says the radio world can be a bit of a “boys’ club,” but through hard work, knowing what she wanted and successful networking, she’s managed to land her dream job.

With the hustle and bustle of curating what hits the HOT 97 air-waves, AllHipHop got a few moments of her time to discuss her world as a female music executive:

AllHipHop: Please explain what your job entails:

TT Torrez: I am responsible for developing, coordinating, and supervising all music programs, production and overall day-to-day operations of the station. I also plan and produce special musical concerts and/or workshops and coordinate fundraising efforts. The main job of a radio station’s Music Director is to find the right music for the station, but it’s more complicated than just picking quality music.  It’s making sure out of the music that’s available to us, we’re finding the right music our audience wants to hear, which generates the best ratings, which in turn helps our sales department sell airtime.”

AllHipHop: What’s the most enjoyable part of the job and your duties?

TT Torrez: Interacting with the community

AllHipHop: What is the hardest part: *

TT Torrez: Balancing work life and personal life

AllHipHop: Do you remember and can describe a time of adversity in your career?

TT Torrez: I remember the first time I got fired from my first radio gig. It was in Charleston, South Carolina, and I was producing The Russ Parr Morning Show. The company said they were selling their station and as of tomorrow, you no longer have a job. I remember crying wondering what I was going to do. I wasn’t making that much money, but one thing I’ve always been good at was networking. Russ Parr and I became really good friends –he became a mentor to me, and I told him ‘Hey I’m out of a gig,’ and he said there weren’t any positions available, he created an opportunity for me to connect with the program director and see what happens. So I packed up my Honda Accord, put my furniture in storage and drove to D.C. This taught me that you really have to humble yourself and be open to doing other things. I went from literally having nowhere to stay to gaining a great gig in Connecticut. You have to go through the trials and tribulations to get to where you want to be.

AllHipHop: How do you express the pride of being a woman of color in the industry, being humble but owning your position and how does that transpire within the music and entertainment industry?

TT Torrez: I mean, it’s very easy to get lost in this business. You have to be strong-minded and have a strong personality. Black women already face so many stereotypes when it comes to reality television and from what others perceive us to be. I think for me it was all about me being authentic to who I am…and I had a lot of people on the way that tried to change that or turn me into things that I’m not. I always had to stay strong to who I am while still maturing. You can’t get caught up in what this industry can do to you. You always have to strategize and not always wear your heart on your sleeves. You are smart and you can be on the same level as men.

AllHipHop: How do you balance work and personal life?

TT Torrez: I definitely I have the situation, but I have a 6-year-old son and I raise my nephew, and you really have to find what you want and how to balance that. Many women give up the family and other personal life aspects.

You know, I was literally having this conversation with a friend about how men executives can have it all. They have their wives pack their bags, schedule their lives, make them dinner, take care of the children, but then you see women in those same positions, and they typically aren’t married, they don’t have kids, and if a man can have those things, you can too! So why cheat yourself from it. I mean it’s not easy, but why cheat yourself from having it all. I also have to understand to just live in the moment when I’m with my family taking time away from my phone and social media and really connect and live in the moment. When I’m happy at home, I’m a better person at work. It really makes you complete. You also have to have someone that mutually respect what you do and support you as well.

AllHipHop: Who inspires you?

TT Torrez: My mom. She continues to inspire me. And we didn’t always have the greatest relationship, but now that I am grown and have a child of my own, I have a better perspective on why she made the decisions she did. Also, my mentor Lamonda Williams and my lawyer Wendy Credle. Honestly many women continue to inspire me whether I speak to them regularly or not. There are so many in this music industry that you may not see but continue to pave the way.

AllHipHop: Please provide what it means to you to be a powerful woman and a boss in the urban music and hip-hop industry.

TT Torrez: Respect for yourself and others. As well as understanding your self-worth!

AllHipHop: Final Words, inspirational quotes of some sort?

TT Torrez: No, I don’t have a specific quote but one of the things I live by is to always remain humble and show love and respect for humanity. You should treat the janitor with the same respect as someone that is sitting next to you at the table or the CEO of a company. I also believe in the power of God and what he does in my life each day. And to all the young girls, never let anybody put you in a box and let people tell you what you can and can’t do. I’m a prime example of that. I was definitely that girl that was not supposed to get out of the hood. I’ve been told ‘oh she will have X amount of kids before she graduates’ or oh she’s gonna be this or she gonna be that. I mean I never ever let those stereotypes hinder me. I always stayed a visionary and saw myself as bigger than what anyone told me I could be.

AllHipHop: Final Words?

TT Torrez: I think we get so jaded by what social media brings and what reality tv does because it appears that everybody else around us is doing so well. We get so consumed with the paths of others, but if you really focus on your path, it will happen in the timing of when it is supposed to happen. You may not get a bunch of likes on social media, but it doesn’t matter. Stay your own course and don’t allow the distractions to take you off that. Don’t rush the process…enjoy the process.

Donald Trump Tweets About “Jail Time” In Response To Snoop Dogg’s Music Video

(AllHipHop News) It was only a matter of time before Donald Trump took to Twitter to share his thoughts on Snoop Dogg’s controversial new visuals.

This morning the president posted a tweet directly mentioning Snoop.

“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if [Snoop Dogg], failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!” wrote Trump.

Snoop has faced some backlash for his “Lavender” music video by BADBADNOTGOOD which includes the Hip Hop artist firing a prop gun at a man dressed like Trump wearing clown makeup.

Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, called on Snoop to apologize for depicting an “assassination attempt” on the President of the United States.

“I’m not really sure I understand the artistic value having someone dressed up as Trump and firing a weapon at him,” stated Cohen.

Fellow rap stars Ice-T and Treach offered a defense of Snoop.

“It’s basically him saying everybody’s a clown, including Trump, which I think we all agree. The part where he points the gun at the president is against the law. You gotta know that,” Ice-T says into a camera. “You can’t kill the president. But I think he pushed the line.”

Treach added, “It was a confetti gun. When he shoots everything out, nobody got shot. Confetti came out. It’s artistic.”

Snoop Dogg joins the Hamilton cast, the Saturday Night Live cast, Meryl Streep, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and other “so-called ‘A’ list celebrities” on the list of famous critics to get a Twitter reaction from the POTUS.

The R&B singer announced on social media that an “unexpected surgery” is causing her to postpone those European dates for the “Sweet Sexy Savage Tour.”

I’m deeply saddened to announce that I have to fly home for sudden unexpected surgery on my stomach, as some of you know I have a hernia (that squishy ball thingy above my belly button) and it’s gotten to a point if necessary surgery. #AHHPowerfulWomen: Celebrity Trainer, Holly Lawson Connects Boxing to Music

#AHHPowefulWomen
(AllHipHop Features) Leaders and bosses come in many different forms. Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson has experienced greatness first hand as a Top 5 Welterweight contender, but now she uses her experiences to help a star-studded clientele take their talents to new heights as a celebrity trainer. Holly’s uncanny motivational techniques have helped actors such as Rosamund Pike (“Die Another Day”, “Girl Gone, A Untied Kingdom”), Alexandra Shipp (“X-Men: Apocalypse” “Straight Outta Compton”), Sophie Turner (“Game of Thrones, X-Men Apocalypse”), Eddie Cahill (“Under The Dome”, “CSI:NY”), and Aimee Carrero (“Elena if Avalor”, “Young and Hungry”, “The Last Witch Hunter”). She has also trained artistic eccentrics like Grammy-winning superstar Lorde, producer Brook D’Leau and Hip-Hop artist Murs. Even AllHipHop’s own Chuck “Jigsaw” Creekmur has sought out Lil’ Bear’s expertise. “I’ve fought my whole life, both in the ring and outside. My training philosophy is helping people become the best versions of themselves, physically, emotionally and spiritually,” says Lawson.

She has been featured on mainstream outlets like E! Online, Elle UK, Yahoo.com, Variety, W Magazine, Healthista.com, Self.com, Daily Mail (The UK’s largest paper) and more. Continually challenging herself, Holly is a Bellator MMA fighter and a California Golden Gloves Champion. “Holly works harder than most of the male world champions I see. She has always brought a welcome light, along with her talent to Wildcard. We are all big fans of her both professionally and personally,” says Freddie Roach, Hall of Fame Boxing Trainer. Holly “Lil Bear” Lawson is an entrepreneur of another sort. She moves between Hip-Hop, Hollywood, combat sports and celebrity, all seeking remarkable metamorphosis in their physiques.

AllHipHop: Explain what you’re job entails:

Holly Lawson: A lot of telling people they can’t eat donuts for breakfast and make their fitness goals! I am side eying Aimee Carrero and Alexandra Shipp right now. In all seriousness, technically I am a trainer, although my role in a lot of peoples lives tends to fall more into a life coach capacity, so my job changes daily.

I am in the final stages of a training platform that’ll be available via an app as well as online, so there’s a lot of energy going into that. I’ve also got a boxing and Hip-Hop podcast I am launching with Glasses Malone next month and I’ve been working on commentating in boxing (which is my first love and a huge part of everything I do).

AllHipHop: What’s the most enjoyable part of the job and your duties:

Holly Lawson: My jobs – plural – keep me bouncing between worlds, so I get to experience and work in different environments, with different people. I’m not sure I have finished finding my calling, but I do know I am super grateful for the space and opportunity to work with the people I work with. I would definitely say that getting to work with my clients daily is one of my biggest blessings.

AllHipHop: What is the hardest part:

Holly Lawson: I am a professional boxer and there was a point I reached with it, that I realized that boxing wasn’t taking me where I needed to go in order to keep growing as a human being. So I had to put boxing to the side for a bit, while I fully embraced all the other opportunities that were being offered to me. What is interesting about that, is that when I chose to stop chasing it, boxing came back into my life on its own accord. You know that saying “if you love something let it go, if it comes back to you, it was meant for you”? It’s usually applied to relationships between people but I believe it fully applies to a person and their purpose too.

Alexandra Shipp and Holly Lil Bear Lawson

AllHipHop: What advice can you offer people that want to be where you are or aspire to make it in the business?

Holly Lawson: ALWAYS be authentically yourself. So much of what people do today is based on them trying to gain social media followers or achieve some false sense of accomplishment with likes and attention. What I have learned being within “Hollywood”, is that those people are going to come and go, without so much as a blink from the people who really make decisions about the business that matters. Everyone is out here lying about who they are and what they do, all of a sudden everyone is an “actor” or a “trainer” or a “fighter”, and they think because they dress the part and post pics of themselves posing, that they are convincing people that they’re legitimate. That can only fool people so long, eventually you’re going to have to put up or shut up. The way to avoid any of that is to just always be honest about who you are, what you are good at and what type of person you are.

I’ve found that by establishing a reputation, first within boxing then within training and entertainment, for being authentic, has served me really well. People always know what they’re getting with me and that has been passed via personal referrals, so my circle has expanded for sure, but when I meet someone they already know who I am, what I am about and when they get to know me better, they will discover more depth to my abilities and interests, but they’ll always know who I am at my core and the things that I stand for.

AllHipHop: Can you describe a moment of adversity personal or in your career?

Holly Lawson: Geez…When isn’t there going to be adversity in life? That’s always there, it changes from day to day but there’s always something. Whenever you’re an entrepreneur and work for yourself, there’s the freelance struggle: do I have enough work this month to do A/B/C/D? Am I so busy I don’t have time to breathe by myself for an hour? How do I trademark something? Am I working fast enough on that other project?

Training is interesting because while most of my clients train with me year round, I have a few who live abroad so I see them when they are in LA or they come to work with me to get ready for a certain project etc. So my work days change from week to week, juggling different people/projects/personalities is certainly something I have had to learn to adjust to quickly.

I had a moment last year, in which I looked around and realized that I was investing time/energy into some people (both clients professionally and people in my personal life), who weren’t offering me any growth/energy/learning experiences in return, I made a decision from then on, that I would only work with people I like as human beings, who I feel good about spending so much time and energy on. I definitely let go of some clients (and some money) and some friends, which was a little tough for a bit, but I have found myself being happier than I have ever been. I honestly love everyone I work with and I have been meeting people in my personal life that are nothing short of amazing. Cutting the dead weight hurt a bit, but it was worth it.

AllHipHop: What keeps you from giving up working within a male dominated industry

Holly Lawson: I’ve almost always worked in male dominated fields. Boxing is basically all men running everything, I’ve managed rappers many years ago, it’s all the same. Personally, I am comfortable working with men. They are up front about who they see as competition and you can tell right away if they see you as a threat.
I never saw it as something that would make me want to quit, I just always saw it as a reason to prove them wrong.

AllHipHop: Who inspired you to become a leader or boss

Holly Lawson: I’ve always wanted to make changes in the world, everything I do is coming from that place. Any act of leadership has always been because I knew someone needed to stand up for whatever was right and create an avenue that wasn’t there.

How do you balance work and personal life?

Holly Lawson: That’s a really tough equation when you are an entrepreneur. I’m still learning how to create boundaries and define time that belongs only to me. I try to carve out time in my schedule to dedicate solely to my personal growth. I have always been a voracious reader, so making time to read is one of my biggest rewards I can give myself.

AllHipHop: What do you do for fun?

Holly Lawson: I love going to boxing matches, art galleries and museums, book stores, lectures, anything that feeds my brain and helps me grow is good. Alternately, I love going to the movies. It’s the whole experience of the theatre that I love, I think it’s because I grew up really poor with a single mom, in a small town in Canada. We had one theatre in the town, it would play one movie, sometimes for a week or two at a time. Because we didn’t have much money, going to the movie theatre was a big deal and we didn’t get to do it very often. It’s now something I love to do to relax. It’s also often work, checking out how people look, how prepared they are for roles etc. I love seeing my team up there, nothing more rewarding than seeing months of hard work pay off on the big screen.

AllHipHop: Final words?

Holly Lawson: Success is all relative and happiness is purely personal but the second you stop chasing either and start living to make change for others who aren’t as fortunate as you, will be the exact moment both of former will come to you. I promise……#notallheroeswearcapes.

Azealia Banks Reportedly Once Cut Her Own Sister With A Box Cutter

(AllHipHop Rumors) Although everyone has written off troubled rapper Azealia Banks, more and more details about her troubled behavior continue to emerge.

Banks’ recent run-ins with the law and arrests are nothing new of the sort. However, details of a previous assault by Banks on a family member have now emerged.

Fix it Jesus! Azealia was previously taken into custody for slicing and dicing her own sister wit a box cutter. Sometimes family can be worst than your friends or enemies people.

According to NYDaily, Azealia slashed her sister in the hand, neck, and arm back in April 2009.

Although it’s fairly unknown what lead up to the incident, no one is really on Banks’ side thinking that it could’ve been self defense. In fact, most are believing that it was probably the exact opposite. Banks is always involved in some type of altercation, so it probably didn’t take much to tick her off.

The box cutter incident surfaced as prosecutors have been trying to prove that Banks is a violent and confrontational person while she’s on trial for last year’s fight in NY. This shouldn’t be hard to prove with the girl’s history of violence and altercations.

In interesting news, Banks plans to represent herself in court, but, we don’t even know if she will show up.

Why can’t anyone intervene and make the girl get some help?!

Donald Trump’s Lawyer Snaps On Rapper Snoop Dogg Over “Assassination” Video

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg is receiving some backlash for his controversial video, in which he shoots a Donald Trump look-alike.

Snoop Dogg’s video for “Lavender” featuring Kaytranadaha, been drawing the wrath of a variety Republicans, since it was released on March 12.

Snoop’s “Lavender” video features the rapper caught in a world of evil clowns, which features President Trump as the main protagonist.

Towards the end, Snoop grabs a fake gun and shoots the POTUS, who also smokes some bud in the video.

Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen took aim at Snoop Dogg over the clip, while expressing disappointment in the rap star.

“It’s totally disgraceful, Snoop owes the president and apology. There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on the President,” President Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen said.

Snoop and Trump were somewhat friendly in past years, before Trump launched his campaign and captured the White House last year.

Snoop infamously roasted the billionaire real estate mogul/reality show star for Comedy Central March of 2011, however, it looks like their friendship has certainly cooled off.

“This motherf##ker (Trump) tried to put up; him winning the presidency; police being able to kill motherf##kers and get away with it; people being in jail for weed for 20, 30 years and motherf**kers that’s not black on the streets making money off of it – but if you got color or ethnicity connected to your name, you’ve been wrongfully accused or locked up for it, and then you watching people not of color position themselves to get millions and billions off of it,” Snoop Dogg told Billboard.

Michael Cohen said there was a double standard, had anybody and had any popular musician put out such a video about President Obama, the condemnation would have come much faster.

“I would not have accepted it if it were President Obama I certainly do not accept it as President Trump,” Cohen said.

Cohen told Snoop he needed to take some notes from NFL legend Jim Brown, who decided to work closely with Trump instead of opposing the administration.

Michael Cohen joins a growing number of Trump supporters, like Senator Marco Rubio, an admitted hip-hop fan who condemned Snoop’s “Lavender” video.

Some hip-hop artists came out and supported Snoop’s video, like veterans Treach and Ice T, who had his own problems with the government over his “Cop Killer” track with Body Count in 1991.

However, Trump’s lawyer did not see the point of the video.

“I’m not really sure I understand the artistic value having someone dressed up as Trump and firing a weapon at him,” Michael Cohen stated.

According to reports, the Secret Service is looking into the “Lavender” video.

Beast Out Ma! Ed Lover Is Disappointed In Nicki Minaj’s “ShETHER” Response

(AllHipHop Rumors) Nicki Minaj fails to realize that no matter how well your “diss” record is charting, it’s still wack to the majority of Hip Hop fans.

Like the rest of us, veteran DJ Ed Lover has been waiting for a true Nicki Minaj response to Remy Ma bodying the girl on “ShETHER”.

Ed Lover’s passion and fervor for a true response from Nicki was more heightened than the average fan because he’s been in the game so long, and he’s seen plenty of historic rap battles. A battle between a Queens and Bronx rapper is supposed to be epic all the way around.

Although in Nicki’s mind, she truly believes that she came at Remy’s head on “No Frauds,” Lover feels that she basically took an L.

“Mama, you gotta beast out now. We from the thorough borough of Queens, New York. Legendary rap beefs. You gotta beast out Ma. You can’t do one verse, you gotta do a whole song,” said Ed Lover.

Lover even reminded Nicki about the historic rap battles that came before her such as that between LL Cool J and Kool Moe Dee, Nas and Jay-Z, and KRS-1 and MC Shan.

Many believe that Nicki was wack for giving Remy a verse as well as having Lil Wayne and Drake on the “diss” record. While Nicki seems to be stressing that she’s about hit records and not diss records, she was still supposed to deliver just off of how Hip Hop and it’s battles work in general.

Barbie Nicki took too long to respond, and Remy is indifferent now, so I feel that this beef has truly ran its course.

Draymond Green Criticizes Nicki Minaj For “No Frauds” & Constantly Name Dropping LeBron James

(AllHipHop News) Draymond Green has added his opinion to the ongoing discussion surrounding Remy Ma versus Nicki Minaj.

The Golden State Warriors player covered Hip Hop’s most recent feud on his Uninterrupted podcast with Marcus Thompson II.

Green focused on the fact that Nicki responded to Remy’s “ShETHER” and “Another One” with “No Frauds” which featured her Young Money partners Drake and Lil Wayne.

“I can’t really view it as a diss song. I can only view it as Nicki threw some shots in a song because you got Wayne on there, who I don’t even know what Wayne was talking about on there,” said Green. “Then you got Drake on there. They’re really just rapping. They ain’t dissing nobody. So to say this is a diss song… ‘ShETHER’ was a diss song.”

He added, “I feel like [Nicki] tried to use the level of her fans, Wayne’s fans, and Drake’s fans to boost the song up the chart. I feel like she was trying to use that as her diss.”

Green went on to say even if that was Nicki’s strategy she should not have put Drake and Wayne on the record because the Queens rapstress was just trying to take advantage of their followers.

“I ain’t really buying that,” said the NBA forward.

The Uninterrupted conversation included Green taking issue with Nicki constantly name dropping Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James.

“By the way, is Nicki Minaj gonna mention Bron in every song?” Green pondered. “Like, every song she has released since June 2016, there’s something about LeBron in it. I mean dang. LeBron is great but Jesus Christ. At some point, it just becomes too repetitive.”

Nicki has rapped about James on the recent songs “No Frauds,” “Don’t Hurt Me,” and “Swalla.”

The latter Minaj track also featured a line referencing Draymond Green hitting LeBron James in the groin during Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Green did call Nicki a “really good artist” but sees Remy as more of a traditional rapper.

He also argued that Nicki took the safe route with “No Frauds” to protect her status as a mainstream performer.

Ice-T & Treach Defend Snoop Dogg’s Video Featuring A Gun Pointed At Donald Trump

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg found himself facing some backlash for imagery in his new “Lavender” video.

The clip features the Hip Hop legend pointing a toy gun at a clown dressed like Donald Trump.

Two fellow rap veterans are backing Snoop up on his right to artistic expression.

“It’s basically him saying everybody’s a clown, including Trump, which I think we all agree. The part where he points the gun at the president is against the law. You gotta know that,” Ice-T says into a camera. “You can’t kill the president. But I think he pushed the line.”

Treach of Naughty By Natures said, “It was a confetti gun. When he shoots everything out, nobody got shot. Confetti came out. It’s artistic.”

“It was artistic,” Ice-T added.

The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star also suggested Trump is open to being ridiculed because he gives his critics so much material to make fun of.

In addition, Treach questioned why the Trump “shooting” is a problem but there is no widespread objection to black-on-black violence in music videos.

“That’s not threatening to nobody?” asked the “Hip Hop Hooray” rapper.

Chance The Rapper May Be Selling His First Album!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Chicago rapper Chance The Rapper has certainly become a fan favorite. He’s also had a great 2017 already as the rapper won 3 Grammy awards at the 2017 Grammys.

Chance recently sat down with Complex to talk about his journey as an artist and as a father. As Chance reflected on his trailblazing career path [as an independent artist] through the music industry and his ambitious plans for his next album, he also revealed that his next project is going to be his first album, and that everything that preceded it was actually a mixtape. He also revealed that he may actually sell his first album!

“I might actually sell this album. That’s like a big step in itself. Kinda hate the fact that I can’t chart really, but the way they have the stream sh-t set up is weak AF. It’s unfair. I don’t know if it’s 1,500 or 1,700 streams is the equivalent to one unit. That’s unfair, no one listens to their song 1,700 times when they buy it. F-ck out of here. It makes it hard; I can’t really compete with other people. Not that the charts matter at all, but like come on. Anyways I think having it for purchase would be dope. This is all like hypothetical. There is no album. This is an idea. I have songs recorded, but I’m not working on a ‘Coloring Book’. I’m chilling right now. But I think in part it being for retail, I want to make something that has a wider scope. I think whatever this album is wouldn’t be so centered,” said Chance.

What are you thoughts? Are you ready for new music from Chance?
