(AllHipHop News) YG’s latest project Red Friday is now available for streaming and download.

However, the California rapper was not happy that the collection made its way to the internet before planned, and he is blaming his record label.

“WTF? Red Friday Leaked? On Piru I hate DEF JAM. Always f-kkin my s#### up,” wrote YG on Twitter.

He then repeatedly posted, “F-CK DEF JAM!”

Following his “FDT” collaborator Nipsey Hussle, YG offered Red Friday as a retail mixtape for $100.

“THE WORLDS 2ND $100 CD,” tweeted YG earlier this week. “SUPER FANS & SUPER SUPPORTERS ONLY. Mixtape in – store and signing In #OAKLAND.”

Beyonce “Begging” Jay Z To Repair Kanye Relationship, Reports Say

(AllHipHop Rumors) It seems like Kanye West was really calling out for help to Jay Z and Beyonce is trying to get her man to reach out to his “little brother.”

I am not fully clear on what happened with Jay and Ye, but it must be serious.

I have my own thoughts on what went wrong, but I am not in the mix at all. I am an outsider. You can’t be dry snitching on the “hittas,” mayne!!! ANYWAY, in the old classic “Big Brother,” Kanye says some things.

New jack city gotta keep my brother
But to be number 1 I’ma beat my brother
On that “Diamond remix” I swore I spazzed
Then my big brother came through and kicked my ass
Sibling rivalry, only I could see
It was the pride in me that was driving me
At the Grammies I said “I inspired me”
But my big brother who I always tried to be

Kanye clearly thinks highly of Jay Z and probably has modeled his life after Jay in some ways. Beyonce is a sweet soul and hopefully, the mess that has resulted over the last few years won’t deter the mogul from getting with his little bro.

Nas Raising Funds For Criminal Justice Reform By Selling Ugly Christmas Sweaters

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Nas is raising funds for a criminal justice reform initiative by selling ugly Christmas sweaters featuring a kneeling Santa.

The “I Can” hitmaker, real name Nasir Jones, has taken inspiration from American footballer Colin Kaepernick’s ongoing Black Lives Matter protest and featured Father Christmas taking a stand on his new line of festive clothing.

The red, black, and green sweaters will be sold by Nas’ HSTRY brand, with some of the proceeds benefiting The Center for Court Innovation in the star’s native New York City.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Kaepernick first decided to take a knee during the U.S. National Anthem at the start of pre-season games to draw attention to the mounting deaths of African-Americans at the hands of white police officers, which sparked activism across the U.S. earlier this year.

A number of African-American sportsmen have also since followed Kaepernick’s lead to bring awareness to the cause.

Nas isn’t the first rapper to cash in on the popularity of ugly Christmas sweaters.

Last year, 2 Chainz capitalized on the dance craze the dab and created a range of Dabbing Santa merchandise, which raised $2 million for his TRU Foundation, which helped him give back to his local community in Atlanta, Georgia.

He has expanded his Christmas clothing line for 2016, and he has appealed to fans to help him “change some lives”.

“If you have a situation or know a family who’s in a bad place… you can submit stories on my website 2chainzshop.com,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m looking for families to help. Each sweater SOLD is going to help a family.”

Veteran Rapper DMX Delivers A Message To Kanye West

(AllHipHop News) Rapper DMX has battled his fair share of problems over the years, whether it was psychological, addiction related, criminal, or finance issues.

So it is befitting that the spiritually grounded rap legend, who is known to pray on his album and before shows, would offer up some advice and support to Kanye West.

Kanye was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center on Monday (November 21) after a series of meltdowns at his stops in Sacramento and Inglewood forced him to cancel the remaining dates on his “Saint Pablo Tour.”

“This is my first Instagram joint I did specifically for Instagram and I wanted it to mean something, I wanted it to make sense,” DMX said. I want to give a special shout out to Kanye, let him know that my prayers are with him, my families prayers are with him. And I wanted to remind him, when god is for you, who can be against you. No one and nothing. Stand strong brother, stand strong. God is in your corner.”

Kanye West Will Spend Thanksgiving In The Hospital

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West will reportedly be spending Thanksgiving in hospital.

The “Stronger” hitmaker was admitted to the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center on Monday (November 21) for a psychiatric evaluation, and is said to be receiving treatment for exhaustion and sleep deprivation.

While he is “starting to feel more like himself,” Kanye understands how important it is that he “rests and gets help”.

“They are taking it day by day. He understands that getting help at the hospital was necessary,” a source told People.com.

“Kanye will be in the hospital for Thanksgiving and isn’t leaving,” another insider told Us Weekly.

While Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian has been at his bedside almost since the incident occurred, jetting straight to Los Angeles from New York on Monday despite initial plans to attend the Angel Ball in Manhattan that evening, she was apparently seen leaving the hospital on Wednesday night.

Sources close to the reality star said she has “barely left Kanye’s side,” adding to Us Weekly: “Kim has been very concerned and supportive. Seeing Kanye like this is scary for her.”

Accompanied by a bodyguard, Kim is thought to be planning to return to the medical center on Thursday morning to be with her spouse.

It is believed that she will see in Thanksgiving with her two children, North and Saint, and family members including mother Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.

Kanye’s medical emergency came just hours after his representatives canceled the remaining dates on his “Saint Pablo Tour.”

And insiders later revealed that the rigorous touring schedule combined with stress over Kim’s armed robbery ordeal in Paris, France, last month contributed to his apparent breakdown.

Nataanii Means and QUESE IMC Talk Indigenous Hip-Hop, Rebel Music and #NoDAPL!

(AllHipHop Features) Indigenous Hip-Hop artists have been around for many years, but now they are taking their voice to new volumes as.

These days, the Native people of this land have been abused, persecuted and treated like third class citizens, but the media has largely ignored these matters. Standing Rock has been the cornerstone of the most recent infraction against Indigenous People.

However, the situation in the Dakotas is very much in line with the legacy of legalized genocide that has happened on this land since the pilgrims descended in The Americas.

AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur sat down with two emcees Nataanii Means and Quese IMC and talked about Hip-Hop’s indigenous lineage, the Dakota Pipeline which threatens the water supply for millions and intergenerational trauma and continues to plague our nation’s marginalized citizens.

“We talk about a reality that America doesn’t see. We’re America’s guilty conscience. We’re the hidden seams in America, displaced and forgotten about,” says Nataanii Means, son of legendary activist Russell Means. “We bring a reality in our music that we’d like to tell the world about. The Indigenous people in America are still here and shts pretty fcked up.

Quese IMC has been around Hip-Hop since the earlier years and even calls Hip-Hop’s father Kool Herc “friend.”

“The root of indigenous Hip-Hop is the root of Hip-Hop in the Bronx. The Youth, they had story and they were going through struggles and they wanted to express what was going on in their community. So for us as Indigenous artists, we wanted to express what was going on in our communities so we started to do our own shows. Tell that message,” Quese said proudly.

“I saw N.W.A. perform when I was 11. I saw Public Enemy on that tour. I saw LL (Cool J), Slick Rick, EPMD – when I was 11 years old,” he continued. “That changed my life. To see Flavor Flav…rockin’ crowd. Seeing Chuck D commanding the crowd. That moved me. A little Indian boy in Indiana.”

Indigenous Hip-Hop heads are not unlike everybody else that has experienced major struggle and they align themselves with other that have also faced oppression.

“Hip-Hop is Hip-Hop,” said Nataanii. “We relate to those elements. The root of us is dance, art, making music, story telling and we have to be doing it in the oppressors language. I alway say, they forced my grandma and grandpa to speak the oppressors’ language. You know, they tied them to radiators, they beat them. They beat the language out of them. And they didn’t teach me (my native language) because of that. If I’m forced to speak the oppressor’s language, I’m going to flip in on them. I’m going to get back at them. And, I’m going to go against the school system that taught me everything that was wrong. I’m going to use my voice to say ‘F**k you.’”

However, the conversation was purely Hip-Hop and Nataanii Means and Quese talked about their Top 5 Dead or Alive (seen in the video), how they make it through the tough times and their indomitable will that helps them continue to fight injustice.

“This isn’t normal. Our people are still out here and we’re fighting to survive. Every single day. And that’s not a figure of speech. We’’re literally fighting to survive,” Nataanii Means said. “We’re literally fighting oil companies and that’s something you don’t see in American media. I don’t know why. Its not every day that attack dogs are sic’d on little kids and women. I saw a woman get dragged down by her breasts by the private security firm. And that was something I couldn’t fathom of the time. ‘My people wake up.’”

“I’m thankful to be apart of it, at this time,” Quese said. “The Creator put me here at this time in life to walk through this human journey until we go on to the spirit world. Until then, I’m going to do the best I can…strive to get my bars up and not be behind bars. To fight hard. Now we got legal battles because of Standing Rock. The time to change this destructive way of thinking is here.”

My god. The Internet trolling does not stop. How do they all do it? The latest is Meek and Nicki. OF course they are on a roll and going strong. You know how? Meek Mill allowed (or was forced) to take a pic of himself kissing Queen Nicki Minaj’s feet. Not a hater, I am. Yoda talk aside, its good to see Meek treating his lady good. I don’t care what you say. If you date, Nicki, you gonna do what you gotta do.

Police claim they attempted to stop Ivory P.’s 1998 Mercedes-Benz truck yesterday morning, when the rapper took off.

The SUV eventually wrecked and when Ivory P. emerged, police claimed he brandished a weapon and they shot and killed him.

Judge Tosses Lawsuit And Rules No Similarities Between “Love & Hip Hop” and “Hip Hop Wives”

(AllHipHop News) The creators of VH1’s#### reality series “Love & Hip Hop” won in court yesterday (November 22), in relation to a lawsuit which claimed the executive producers ripped off the idea.

Nicki Lum-Davis and Trisha Lum claimed they pitched a show called “Hip Hop Wives” to VH1 in 2009 and thought the network had given them a green light.

But, VH1 ended up walking away because they claimed the show was too similar to “Basketball Wives.”

The women claimed that when “Love & Hip Hop” debuted in 2011, it was very reminiscent of their own show.

Unfortunately, for the women, U.S. District Judge Dean Pregerson in Los Angeles said the women failed to show substantial similarity between “Love & Hip Hop” and their “Hip Hop Wives.”

Pharrell & Janelle Monae Talk Historical Context Of ‘Hidden Figures’ Film

Grammy Award-winning artist-producer Pharrell and singer-turned-actress Janelle Monae not only brought their magic to the new film ‘Hidden Figures,’ but they also brought it to Atlanta’s own Mean Streets Studio as they hosted a unique listening party for the movie’s soundtrack. The listening session followed an advance screening of the film at the Regal Cinemas in Atlantic Station.

Media, music executives, and key influencers were treated to great food and music as DJ Drama, Don Cannon, and DJ Sense hosted the soundtrack listening party.

Celebrities in attendance for the screening and listening event included Usher, Ludacris, Big Krit, DC Young Fly, Migos, Jasmine Guy, Carl Payne and more.

During the listening session Pharell and Janelle Monae took time out to discuss the film’s purpose, story and mission.

“I became obsessed with figuring it out and making it a personal duty of mine to make sure these women’s stories were hidden no more,” said Janelle.

“For once it wasn’t three African American women who were best friends or hanging out for the weekend,” said Pharell as he explained that the film has true historical context.

Pharrell also took time to breakdown a few of the soundtrack’s songs.

‘”Run It” it’s about… so it’s the 1960s and being black in the 1960s was super tough, and being black and a female in the 1960s is even more tough. The reason why is because on the NASA campus they had bikes, but if you’re a woman you didn’t wear pants and you didn’t wear shorts. You wore skirts and dresses. So it wouldn’t be that bad if the bathroom was down the hall. But if you’re an African American woman the bathroom is all the way on the campus which is essentially a 30-45 minute ride roundtrip rain or shine,” said Pharrell.

‘Hidden Figures’ tells the true story of mathematicians Dorothy Vaughn, Mary Jackson and Katherine Johnson, who all served as the brains behind America’s race against Russia to put a man in space. The women quickly rose the ranks of NASA and were known as “human computers”. The film features Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe as the legendary trio.

The film also stars Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Maria Howell, Karan Kendrick and Donna Biscoe, and was shot on various locations throughout Georgia.

Make sure you run out to the theaters on Christmas day and see the film that chronicles the story of the African-American women who helped win the Space race!

Both Pharrell and Janelle Monae expressed that the film not only tells the untold story of unsung black women in NASA, it also tells the story of the African American woman and her historical journey through civil rights.

Major shout out to Pharrell for putting his golden touch on the film’s soundtrack.

So Icy: Gucci Mane Was The Real Winner At Hawks Game!

(AllHipHop Features) Gucci’s home! Gucci Mane has certainly had a successful run this year! It was only right for Atlanta’s own Guwop to headline the Atlanta Hawks’ first “in-game concert” last night at the Phillips Arena.

The night was a “So Icy” night indeed, with “So Icy” being the hit that ushered in Gucci’s rap stardom.

Gucci not only entertained the arena with an energetic halftime performance presented by Lime-A-Rita; the ATL legend also proposed to his longtime girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir with a 25 karat ring! The rapper also presented a contest winner with a Rolex!

Gucci Mane even pulled off the #MannequinChallenge as he performed Rae Sremmurd’s hit single “Black Beatles” that he is featured on.

Although the Hawks couldn’t beat the Pelicans, Gucci & Lime-A-Rita certainly were last night’s winners!

The Atlanta Hawks Vs. The New Orleans Pelicans game was not only a unique Hip Hop experience, but it also revealed a unique partnership between Lime-A-Rita and the NBA!

Lime-A-Rita and the National Basketball Association have joined forces for a regional partnership that will bring unique in-arena experiences for all of you die-hard sports fans! The partnership even birthed an exclusive fashion collaboration with the Hawks called “shegotgame” a component of Lime-A-Rita’s “This Is My Jam” multi-media activation.

The fashion line has become the official attire of the Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders, and the squad proudly showcased the new attire during the team’s game last night.

Lime-A-Rita and the NBA launched “shegotgame” to reflect the fan-favorite drink’s range of bold flavors as well as to authentically engage fans and celebrate their love for both sports and fashion!

Congrats again Guwop!
