Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” Breaks Into Top 10 As #MannequinChallenge Goes Viral

(AllHipHop News) Even before becoming part of a viral sensation, many listeners viewed “Black Beatles” as one of the standout tracks on Rae Sremmurd’s SremmLife 2 album.

The single is now the duo’s first Top 10 hit on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.

It currently sits at #9 on the tally of most popular singles in the country.

The Morals of G Herbo

If you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve heard every lame politician, sell-out sheriff and two-bit sports analyst pretending to care about the city of Chicago long enough to slander the Black Lives Matter movement with the towns continuous body count.

They love to trot out the narrative that no one cares about the Chi.

Apparently, they’ve never had a conversation with G Herbo, but thankfully, the good folks at AllHipHop.com know better.

Which is why @MrMecc sat with the Illinois native to talk everything from Common to music and murder and so much more.

Rapper/Actor Will Smith’s Dad Dies

(AllHipHop News) Will Smith’s father Willard Carroll Smith, Sr. has died.

The sad news was revealed by the “Hancock” actor’s ex-wife Sheree Fletcher, to whom he was married from 1992 to 1995 and shares 23-year-old son Trey, on Instagram on Monday (November 7).

Posting a sweet snap of Trey with his father and grandfather, Sheree wrote: “We’re gonna miss you Daddio! You lived & played by your own rules…you truly were 1 of a kind! You instilled discipline, and a work ethic that has created a legacy in your honor! #RIPDaddio#donttellmetheresnothingyoucantdo#WillSMITH1.”

Smith’s father served in the U.S. Air Force, and consequently required his family to follow a very structured and regimented routine.

However, the actor revealed in a previous interview with Britain’s Metro newspaper that this way of life has shaped him into the man he is today.

Describing how his bed had to be made perfectly every morning, Smith told the publication: “That’s what he demanded and so that’s how I began in my career and in my life. There’s been a certain obsessiveness to my career and to the things I was trying to accomplish.

“It was like, ‘We’re going to get that flag to the top of the hill no matter what. It doesn’t matter that your ankle is hurt or it doesn’t matter that somebody is sad. Imagine how sad you are going be if you have no food.’ That’s what’s driven me.”

After being discharged from the air force, Smith, Sr. began a business delivering ice in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

His son helped him, and the actor admits that “the lessons coming from actual work with your parents” influenced the way he raises his children, including Jaden, 18, and 16-year-old Willow, with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Pusha T Discusses Hillary Clinton’s Support For Controversial 1994 Crime Bill

(AllHipHop News) Pusha T has been one of the most outspoken Hip Hop figures throughout the 2016 presidential election contest.

As a staunch advocate for Hillary Clinton, Pusha is an active surrogate for the Democratic candidate’s bid to win the White House.

Many African-Americans have been critical of Clinton because of her support for President Bill Clinton’s Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994.

The ’94 Crime Bill caused a sharp rise in incarceration nationwide which disproportionately affected African-Americans and Hispanics.

“It was a horrible bill,” Pusha T told New York Magazine. “But I try to tell people that it is a very layered bill, meaning there are good parts and bad parts, and to pass some of the good, you had to pass some of the bad. Bill Clinton wouldn’t have gotten elected being soft on crime.”

The G.O.O.D. Music president has made criminal justice reform a central part of his personal political pitch. He has seen the negative results of locking up millions of black men firsthand.

“Everything we’re talking about right now has done amazing damage to my time, my era, my whole growing process. Everyone who grew up within that time period, we’re talking about those issues right this second,” expressed Push.

So how can the Virginia emcee still vote for Hillary Clinton when she and her husband were partly responsible for the imprisonment of so many people?

“What made me know that I was going to support Hillary wholeheartedly was that her, Bill, and Bernie [Sanders] spoke out and said, ‘Yo, [mass incarceration] is a mistake. We have to fix this, period,'” said Pusha.

He added, “I can’t dwell into the inner workings of her mind. But the fact that she’s speaking on mass incarceration, I decided I’m going to support her and I’m going to make this my issue that I see through.”

Vic Mensa Slams Donald Trump On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Vic Mensa took his anti-police brutality song “16 Shots” to national TV.

The Chicago spitter performed the track on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night and was joined by Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

At one point the There’s Alot Going On EP creator stopped the band to address the audience.

“I’m a young, black man from Chicago, and I’m tired of not being able to trust the police,” said Mensa. “I want to have faith in the men and women sworn to protect me. I don’t want to see another 17-year-old kid like Laquan McDonald murdered in the street.”

He continued, “So when I hear a candidate talking about ‘law and order’ and ‘stop and frisk’ as the answer to our problems, you don’t know our problems in Chicago and you damn sure don’t speak for us.”

The Roc Nation emcee was referring to Republican candidate Donald Trump’s so-called African-American outreach and anti-crime agenda.

“You got to get out and vote against hate because Donald Trump is a racist,” added Mensa. “If you don’t vote, racism wins.”

Damn, Bruh! DJ Khaled Puts Ace Hood On The Auction Block!

Nobody wants to believe it, but Ace Hood and Khaled did some really good work when they were working together. They had a good run, but now they are at odds like a MF! It seems as though, the beef has gone completely negative. Negative = DJ Khaled has Ace under lock and key contractually.

And, now Ace Hood wants out.

Oh this is a classic saga that we have seen play out over time and time again with many urban griots. Now, dude this stings. Ace is dope, but guess what DJ Khaled wants for his former fam’s contract? A cool MILLION. That’s right people – a ONE followed by SIX zeros.
I know Ace Hood is dope, but nobody is going to pay that.

The question I have is: why didn’t Ace Hood pop? I don’t know honestly.

“So many people fought for these rights. So many people lost their lives for us to even have the opportunity to vote,” Jay Z says in the Tidal clip. “I think we owe it to them. It’s a major disservice if we don’t go out and let our voice be heard.”

Game Wins Major Victory Over Sexual Assault Accuser In Court

(AllHipHop News) A judge has ruled The Game’s sexual assault accuser cannot get access to his financial records.
Priscilla Rainey had requested access to the rapper’s books so she could determine his net worth ahead of the trial.

But her request was denied because she failed to accurately follow the court’s procedural rules, according to reports.

Rainey is suing The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, for $10 million, claiming he sexually assaulted her while filming a scene in a Los Angeles bar for his reality TV show “She’s Got Game,” in which women compete for his affections.

Rainey has been given leave to refile her request before the start of the trial in just under two weeks.

The 36-year-old, who tried to get the lawsuit dismissed in February, previously blasted Rainey’s allegations on Instagram.

“(She) is a liar,” Game wrote. “Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her. She got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit which was probably her intentions before the show was ever even started.”

Meanwhile the “Hate It Or Love It” hitmaker’s lawyer has asked the judge overseeing the case to dismiss Rainey’s request to prohibit her “promiscuous” sexual history from being used in court.

The rapper is hoping allegations she was a prostitute and was arrested for theft will help him win favor with the jury when the trial begins.

The case will head to trial in November unless a settlement can be reached.
