Game Wins Major Victory Over Sexual Assault Accuser In Court

(AllHipHop News) A judge has ruled The Game’s sexual assault accuser cannot get access to his financial records.
Priscilla Rainey had requested access to the rapper’s books so she could determine his net worth ahead of the trial.

But her request was denied because she failed to accurately follow the court’s procedural rules, according to reports.

Rainey is suing The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, for $10 million, claiming he sexually assaulted her while filming a scene in a Los Angeles bar for his reality TV show “She’s Got Game,” in which women compete for his affections.

Rainey has been given leave to refile her request before the start of the trial in just under two weeks.

The 36-year-old, who tried to get the lawsuit dismissed in February, previously blasted Rainey’s allegations on Instagram.

“(She) is a liar,” Game wrote. “Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her. She got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit which was probably her intentions before the show was ever even started.”

Meanwhile the “Hate It Or Love It” hitmaker’s lawyer has asked the judge overseeing the case to dismiss Rainey’s request to prohibit her “promiscuous” sexual history from being used in court.

The rapper is hoping allegations she was a prostitute and was arrested for theft will help him win favor with the jury when the trial begins.

The case will head to trial in November unless a settlement can be reached.

Soulja Boy Still At It: Puts A $100K Bounty On Chicago Rapper, Then Deletes Tweets

(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper Soulja Boy is entangled in a new beef, in which he once again threatened to kill a rival.

Soulja Boy is beefing with a Chicago rapper named Rico Recklezz, who offered up some support for Lil Yachtie, after Soulja Boy threatened him and dared him to come to Chicago on social media posts.

Rico Recklezz offered up some support to Lil Yachtie and told him he was welcomed in Chicago at any time (in so many words).

Soulja Boy didn’t take kindly to Lil Yachtie’s alliance with Rico Recklezz, and the situation devolved from there.

Over the weekend, Soulja Boy threatened to put a $100,000 hit on Rico Recklezz during an exchange between the pair on social media, before deleting the posts.

Rico Recklezz apparently captured the now deleted tweets, and posted them to his Instagram page.

Thankfully, it appears the Chicago rapper isn’t taking things too serious, and instead challenged Soulja Boy to a boxing match.

But, the violence in Chicago is real.

Over the weekend, 9 people were killed and another 42 were injured during shootings in the latest outburst of the city, between Friday and Sunday.

It appears that Soulja Boy’s threats also scare some of his rivals.

Just last week, Soulja was sued by New Orleans rapper Skrill Dilly, for allegedly putting out a $10,000 hit on him for stepping Soulja’s feud with ex-girlfriend, Nia Riley.

Mary J. Blige Premieres New Video “Thick Of It”

Mary J. Blige just unveiled the new video for “Thick Of It.”

The song somes in anticipation of her forthcoming full-length album, Strength Of A Woman, due out later this year.

Mary J. Blige is currently co-headlining the King + Queen of Hearts World Tour alongside Maxwell.

The pair will kick off US dates on November 5th in Baltimore with stops in New York, Detroit, Atlanta, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas among others before and wrapping on December 14TH in Chicago.

Wale Sued For Skipping Show And Keeping $25,000

(AllHipHop News) Wale is being sued for allegedly skipping out on a performance in New York over the summer, according to a new lawsuit filed against the rapper.

According to TMZ.com, Wale was hired by Upfront and Personal Global, the promoters who paid $25,000 upfront to perform.

The promoters claim Wale signed a contract and received two wire payments of $12,500, but the rapper was AWOL the day of the show.

The promoters claim to make matters worse, Wale never gave an explanation as to why he ditched the performance.

The rapper is being sued for $25,000 plus interest .

(AllHipHop News) Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi received overwhelming support after revealing he was checking himself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges.

Both fans and other artists began acknowledging the creator of Man On The Moon: The End Of Day for being an influential force in their lives.

One of those supporters is Atlanta rapper OG Maco. As a sign of appreciation to Cudi, Maco recently released the 6-track project For Scott.

“I wish nothing but the best for Scott. I can’t put a value on how much he touched my life. I honestly cannot,” Maco tells AllHipHop.com. “It’s a lot of moments where I wouldn’t have made it without Cudi. He didn’t know it. Even that realization right there helps you keep going.”

He adds, “Even this year with [Maco sings] ‘beautiful morning,’ people are really starting their day with that. He’s giving people joy at the darkest time in his life. So I really hope he finds whatever he needs to be happy. I hope he focuses on himself because he did so much for us.”

Kid Cudi made his first public appearance since leaving rehab at ComplexCon this weekend in California.

De La Soul To Perform At Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2016

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop group De La Soul will be hitting the streets of New York City later this month.

The trio has been announced as part of the lineup of performers for the 90th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Other acts tapped for the holiday event include Tony Bennett, Sarah McLachlan, Aloe Blacc, Chloe x Halle, Fitz & the Tantrums, and Kelsea Ballerini.

De La Soul dropped their eighth studio album And The Anonymous Nobody… in August.

The collection – which features Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Estelle, Usher, 2 Chainz, and others – has been praised by music critics.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs November 24 at 9 am on NBC.

Both Amazon and AllMusic have listings for a Gambino body of work dropping on December 2.

Gambino has not publicly addressed whether he has a new LP arriving next month, but the rapper/actor did create PHAROS Earth earlier this year.

The app allowed fans to purchase tickets to a Joshua Tree, California listening event in September for his new musical project.

Previously, Gambino released the albums Camp in 2011 and the Grammy-nominated Because The Internet in 2013.

Jeezy Scores Third No. 1 Album

Jeezy’s Trap Or Die 3 came in at the No. 1 slot on the coveted Billboard 200, his third album to do so.

The album, released on October 28, sold roughly 89,000 units, which included 73,000 from traditional brick-n-mortar stores.

All of Jeezy’s albums have made top 10 debuts.

“Over the course of a ten-year partnership, we have watched Jeezy grow as an acclaimed artist, entrepreneur and an enduring creative spirit to be reckoned with ,” said Steve Bartels, CEO of Def Jam Recordings in a statement. “I have tremendous respect for his artistry, tenacity and legendary hustle. All of us at Def Jam are proud to stand next to him and celebrate a great team win.”

Jeezy’s album, 2015’s Church in These Streets, sold more units at 107,000 copies sold, but debuted at No. 4.

Country superstar Kenny Chesney’s Cosmic Hallelujah hit the No. 2 slot selling just shy of 89,000 units earned, according to Billboard. He pushed about 79,000 in traditional album sales.

The position of Meek Mill’s DC4 came in the third slot with 87,000 total units moved.

Max B’s Team Announce The Incarcerated Rapper Is Closer To Being Released

(AllHipHop News) Max B fans may have a lot to be thankful for in the not too distant future.

The incarcerated rapper’s team posted a letter on social media announcing he could be free soon.

According to the update, Max B is being transferred to the East Jersey State Prison, suggesting the 38-year-old Harlemite born Charly Wingate is close to the end of his prison term.

Max was sentenced to 75 years for murder conspiracy and robbery charges in 2009.

Two months ago, the Wave God revealed he accepted a plea agreement for aggravated manslaughter which will reduce his sentence.

Kid Cudi Delivers Inspirational Message To Fans After Stint In Rehab

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Kid Cudi returned to the stage over the weekend, for the first time since checking into a rehabilitation center last month.

The “Day ‘N’ Nite” hitmaker entered a treatment facility in early October after admitting he was suffering from severe depression and suicidal tendencies.

However, this weekend, the 32-year-old returned to the spotlight as he hit the stage at ComplexCon in Long Beach, California and performed hits including “Pursuit of Happiness” and “Up, Up and Away.”

He was also joined on stage by Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott, who performed new singles including “Surfin” and “Through the Late Night,” respectively.

“Listen, I miss every single one of you, I love every single one of you,” Cudi told the crowd during his set. “I know life is crazy, (but) we can make it through. I am living proof!”

Following the show, Pharrell took to Instagram to post a picture of the two pals smiling.

Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi, has yet to comment on the performance, which did not feature any references to his ongoing feud with rival rapper Drake.

The Canadian star recently came under fire for mocking Cudi’s personal struggles on his new track “Two Birds, One Stone.”

In his lyrical jab at Cudi, Drake rapped, “You were the man on the moon/Now you just go through your phases/Life of the angry and famous”.

In another line, he referred to anxiety medication Xanax and painkiller Percocet, adding, “You stay xanned and perc’d up/So when reality set in you don’t gotta face it.”

Cudi, who originally sparked the conflict by blasting his former mentor Kanye West and Drake on Twitter in September, took a break from rehab to hit back at his rap rival last month.

“Say it to (my) face, p##sy,” he fumed, in a now-deleted tweet. “You think it’s a game. I wanna see you say it to my face. I’ll be out soon. Promise.”

Eric B. & Rakim Deny Supporting Donald Trump & Endorse Hillary Clinton For President

(AllHipHop News) The Hip Hop Twitterverse went crazy this weekend when a tweet from the verified account of Eric B. & Rakim appeared to endorse Donald Trump for president.

The legendary Hip Hop duo is insisting that is not the case.

A subsequent tweet suggested the Eric B. & Rakim Twitter page was hacked, but they were able to get control of the account again.

“We’ve taken back command of our Twitter. Thanks for your help [Twitter Support],” read one tweet.

Then a series of additional tweets went on to clarify that Trump is not the preferred candidate of the Paid In Full album creators.

In fact, the group announced they want Hillary Clinton to be the 45th President of the United States.

“We are with her. [Hillary Clinton], the next [POTUS]. Hope that’s clear enough. Deal with it,” Eric and Rakim stated.

50 Cent Posts Documents He Claims Proves Jimmy Henchman Is An Informant

(AllHipHop News ) James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond received great news last week when the former music manager found out his murder conviction was overturned.

However, there was some negative news about Rosemond that hit the internet this weekend.

Rosemond’s longtime nemesis 50 Cent refused to end his online attacks against Henchman.

50 uploaded three posts on Instagram he says proves Rosemond is an informant.

The documents appear to show that Rosemond informed prison authorities about attempted escape by four inmates.

AllHipHop.com cannot confirm if the court papers 50 Cent presented are authentic.

“Here is the paperwork on OG rat Jimmy. Vlad scared of that fool, saying 50 called you a rat. Read the paper fool. He been telling since the [1990’s],” wrote 50 in one picture’s caption.

The G-Unit leader added in another caption, “Damn it man, got his girl helping him rat.”

50’s third IG post’s caption read, “So now you can see who Jimmy is. He been telling a long time now. If he keep talking I got some more of his sh-t to show.”

Rosemond was initially convicted for being part of a murder-for-hire plot that led to the killing of G-Unit associate  Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher before his attorneys got the conviction thrown out.

While he earned a victory in that case, Rosemond is still serving a life sentence for supposedly heading the drug trafficking operation called the Rosemond Organization.

Rosemond also contends he is innocent of those charges.
