(AllHipHop News) Those ghostwriting rumors around Drake just won’t seem to end.
Peter Rosenberg is the latest Hip Hop insider to present circumstantial evidence that the OVO frontman pays other rappers to write his bars.
During a Real Late interview with comedian Pete Davidson, Rosenberg shared a story about Drake supposedly revealing to him that someone else wrote one of his verses around the time Thank Me Later was released.
Davidson and the Hot 97 host were discussing the idea of Drake never creating a bad verse.
“There’s one. I told him this too. And he didn’t write it,” stated Rosenberg. “It was from the first album run. It had that flow. Three rappers were on it.”
Even though he could not recall the name of the song, Rosenberg reiterated that he was told by Drake that someone else wrote his lyrics for that record.
“He actually told me he didn’t write that verse,” added Rosenberg. “By the way, first time I’m saying that publicly. I’m not trying to roast him. I didn’t think anything of it.”
Ebro sparked speculations Drake was prepared to take aim at Eminem on a diss track.
“I told Drake that I heard the rumor was that Eminem was going to gear up to come after him,” said the former Hot 97 program director live on the air. “[Drake] laughed and was like, ‘That’s not going to happen. He’d never do that. And if he did, I got something for him to.’”
Dipset remains to be on of the most influential crews in Hip-Hop History. Now, that they are basically vintage, they are fair game with Halloween costumes. That is exactly what Tyga and his homies decided to do: Dress up as Cam’ron, Jim, Zeke and, of course, Juelz. I first saw Juelz and that’s probably why he put it on his insta. Why didn’t somebody dress up in pink to be Cam? Just a thought. Anyway, its crazy how things change over time. Jim and Cam’ron are beefing on social media. Can’t seem to get this awesome crew back together? Sheesh!

The company began as a collaborative effort with his childhood friend, 7:30.

Since the start of his independent label, Beef and Jon Gaines have been gaining notoriety, and Beef has since gone on to produce several successful local and underground artists and groups including Fedd Hill, Blood Lions, Quarter Key, The Crazy Bunch, Ox Story, King Dirty, Ma Diva, and many more.

(AllHipHop News) Rock & Roll Hall of Famer David Crosby visited the SiriusXM studios yesterday (October 28), where he once again blasted Hip-Hop music.
Crosby made headlines for comments he made about Kanye West’s lack of musical ability earlier this week, during an interview on “Watch What Happens Live.”
Now, the aging rocker and former member of Crosby Stills & Nash, is questioning whether or not Tupac Shakur should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“You know, that’s a mixed blessing. He [Tupac] means a lot to a lot of people. And so, therefore, has validity. Do I love his stuff? No. But, am I the final arbiter? No,” David Crosby says in an upcoming interview airing on SiriusXM’s Insight channel 121.
It looks like Crosby’s son Django, who told his father he was was “full of s##t,” for his comments, has helped him soften his opinion on the entire genre.
“He took out a record called ‘Same Love’ by a guy named Macklemore and I started hearing it and I printed out the words and they were good…they were really good. And I had to rethink the whole thing.”
David Crosby also gave props to “Hamilton” creator Lin- Manuel Miranda, whom he labels a “genius” and “fantastic writer.”
The interview with David Crosby will air on Monday, October 31 at 4:00 pm ET on SiriusXM’s Insight channel 121

Ice Cube’s second solo LP, Death Certificate, released a quarter of a century ago today, forever changed Hip-Hop. The sense of urgency on the 20-track set has both the menacing attitude of a gangsta and the insight of a socially conscious citizen.
The balance of the two was unprecedented, and has yet to be surpassed.
The emotional, provocative, and detailed rhymes are also wonderfully complimented with outstanding production by Sir Jinx. So as a result, the album is a classic which deserves to be celebrated and recognized on its silver anniversary.
With the upcoming presidential election and so many concerns being brought up as of late because of it, it is apparent that Cube’s content on this is album still as relevant as ever. While names and dates change, the issues remain the same. And it is because of music like this that important topics can continue to be talked about in order to make decisions that ensure a brighter future for all.
“N⋅⋅⋅⋅s are in a state of emergency,” and right after those powerful opening words, Cube proceeds to divide Death Certificate in two: The Death Side – “a mirrored image of where we are today” and The Life Side – “a vision of where we need to go.” From there, with “The Wrong N⋅⋅⋅a to F⋅⋅k With,” Cube asserts himself as the song title which not only indicates he refuses to compromise, but that he doesn’t need to either.
The confidence and conviction set forth set by it perfectly lets listeners know (or reminds them) about Cube’s authoritative presence. It’s something that’s very important and certainly serves him well through the entire album. Then, atop an “Atomic Dog” loop, “My Summer Vacation” finds the South Central, Los Angeles native talking about how gang and dope culture has spread beyond the West Coast.
In typical Ice Cube fashion, he tells a vivid first-person cautionary tale about him and Da Lench Mob relocating from L.A. to Missouri to hustle which ultimately ends in tragic results.
Sadly, unlike the story being told, the extension of gang activity was not fiction though. DJ Quik even addressed the issue again on his single, “Jus Lyke Compton,” less than a year later.
“Givin’ Up the Nappy Dug Out” samples a Big Daddy Kane lyric in the hook and takes his original song, “No Damn Good,” about the pitfalls of promiscuity, and turns it into a s###-shaming record for the ages. However, as oppose to just using the song to talk about sex, it serves an excellent segue into “Look Who’s Burnin’” where Cube shows how if people aren’t careful, STDs are a real possibility.
“A Bird in the Hand” is an album highlight which details the plight of so many in the inner-city and illustrates clearly how one can slide into drug dealing as a means of survival. “Always knew that I would clock Gs / But welcome to McDonalds, ‘May I take your order please?’ / Gotta serve ya food that might give ya cancer / Cause my son doesn’t take ‘no’ for an answer / Now I pay taxes, that you never give me back / What about diapers, bottles, and Similac? / Do I have to sell me a whole lot of crack / For decent shelter and clothes on my back?”
Chuck D, in his book, Fight the Power: Rap, Race, and Reality, referred to the last three tracks of the Death Side as “[the] best sequencing ever.” I don’t disagree either. The way in which Cube addresses guns as a means of protection (“Man’s Best Friend”) and then dies at the hospital waiting to be helped (“Alive on Arrival”) speaks volumes about the communities he is reaching out to on so many levels. And then “Death” ends with Dr. Khalid Muhammad calling for the rebirth, resurrection, and rise of black people.
After “The Birth” begins The Life Side, Ice Cube wastes no time attacking white supremacy by using Uncle Sam and the devil as metaphors in “I Wanna Kill Sam” and “Horny ‘Lil Devil” respectively. “Black Korea,” one of the album’s most controversial records, caused many to label Ice Cube a racist for incendiary lyrics against Asian-Americans when he threatened to burn down their stores.
However, it was also perceived as a response to the tragic death of a 15-year-old African-American girl named Latasha Harlins at the hands of a Korean store owner named Soon Ja Du who incorrectly thought she was stealing a bottle of orange juice. Du shot Harlins in the back of the head, and received no jail time.
For fear of the entire album being banned in England, Island Records [Cube’s distributor in the U.K.] even removed “Black Korea” and “No Vaseline” from its original pressings there. But the song is also one which foresaw the L.A. Riots that took place the following spring. Whereas critics could use “Black Korea” as a scapegoat for what happened on April 20, 1992, on the contrary, it was a sense of awareness about what would happen if injustices and inequalities weren’t addressed.
Death Certificate didn’t provoke the riots, it predicted them; and shame on those who tried to silence the messenger.
On this album, it was the first in which Cube was associated with the Nation of Islam, although in a 2000 interview he denied ever officially being a member. Nevertheless, the influence of it was apparent. In addition to the loss of his Jheri curl and the quote and photo included in the Death Certificate booklet, the video for “True to the Game” makes a statement about African-Americans assimilating to cultures and environments which have historically put them down which concludes with three “sellouts” being kidnapped and taken to hear members of the Nation speak.
“[The] vision of where we need to go” then makes a shift with “Doing Dumb S⋅⋅t” and “Us.” Where previous songs on The Life Side masterfully pointed out flaws in the proverbial system, these two bring up personal accountability among those being oppressed.
For as much as “Doing Dumb S⋅⋅t” is a coming of age record, it also warns that if one takes antics too far – the consequences can be dire. Then “Us,”one of Cube’s most powerful records ever, provides a sharp analysis of how some elements of the black community are self-destructive and that “sometimes [he] believes the hype, man / We mess it up ourselves, and blame the white man.” Comedian Chris Rock even thanked Ice Cube for writing “Us” in the liner notes for his Roll With the New album, so it’s very likely the 3:43 song had an influence on Rock’s ground-breaking “N⋅⋅⋅⋅s Vs. Black People” routine.
Last, but certainly not least, there’s the aforementioned “No Vaseline.” After Cube didn’t bring up his old group at all on his debut, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, and only took a slight dig at them on “Jackin’ For Beats” in response to their “100 Miles and Runnin’” shot at him, the four remaining members of N.W.A upped the ante with “Message to B.A.” and “Real N⋅⋅⋅⋅z” on Efil4zaggin. Ice Cube then recorded one of the best diss records in Hip-Hop history. Period.
It was an aggresive attack on both N.W.A and their manager Jerry Heller. Lyrics against Heller which mentioned his faith, Judaism, even caught the attention of the Los Angeles Jewish Human Rights Organization. Cube would then comment on the criticism in the very first song of his following LP.
My music collection consists of more than 500 albums. There are only three that I’ve purchased twice, and Death Certificate is one of them. It is a monumental project that firmly established Ice Cube as one of the greatest emcees of all-time and helped demonstrate how powerful rap music can be. Its impact is undeniable, and set a barometer for greatness that other releases are still being measured against to this day.
(AllHipHop News) Amber Rose was a guest on the latest episode of Yahoo’s new series “I Yahoo’d Myself.”
Amber sat down with Yahoo Style Editor-in-Chief, Joe Zee and said that she hoped Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would be brought to justice for allegedly groping over 12 women.
The women came forward after a video clip from “Access Hollywood” leaked featuring Donald Trump making lewd comments about women, including his infamous quote about “grabbing” women “by the p####.”
“I want him to get in trouble for it because I cannot even count how many times a famous guy touched me inappropriately…seriously,” Amber Rose said during the interview. “Imagine this, Donald Trump comes and touches me inappropriately right. I’m a regular ass girl, do I call 911, do I get on twitter and tweet about it?” Amber asked.
According to Amber this type of behavior from Donald Trump and men in the entertainment business is why she labels herself a “s###” and was also the motivation behind her annual “Slutwalk.”
“People not understanding that women are sexual beings as well is the reason why I refer to myself as a s###,” Amber said. “It really just takes away the pain, takes away the bullying we deal with as women.”
(AllHipHop News) TMZ reports that former Remy Boyz member P-Dice has hit Fetty Wap with a lawsuit claiming money owed from chart-topping track “679.”
P-Dice says that he initially helped write the song with Fetty Wap in agreement that he would be paid 16.9% of profits from the track.
However, P-Dice states his lyrics were purposely cut from the track to avoid paying him and his share of the profits was reduced to 5%.
Now the rapper, who is featured heavily in the video for the song, is looking for $7 million from Fetty.
Also, the former Remy Boyz member says he was dropped from the collective by Fetty Wap in an attempt to avoid a beef.
This is not Fetty’s first hit track subject to a lawsuit, as the rapper in September was hit with a suit alleging that he stole the beat to “Trap Queen.”
(AllHipHop News) Chi-town rapper Lupe Fiasco has been taking shots at Kid Cudi on Twitter in response to the artist’s current beef with Toronto’s own Drake.
On the social media platform, Lupe called the Cleveland artist a “disrespectful clown” in a rant he admitted was “childish and petty.”
The friction between Lupe Fiasco and Kid Cudi stems from a 2014 incident when Cudi criticized Fiasco for offering personalized verses to fans for $500.
Kid Cudi currently has much more serious issues he’s dealing with, as he recently checked himself into rehab for depression, but still made sure to respond to a diss from Drake.
The lyrics in question originate from Drake’s latest track “Two Birds, One Stone,” in which the artist rhymes “You were the man on the moon. Now you just go through your phases.”
Man f### that n####..what part of “rehab” is calling people p###### and asking for fades?! Rehab is checking your own problems not this s### https://t.co/ZUa0uYq8DA
We thought the beef was over with Game and Meek. Not so fast, guys! Wack 100 is saying that its not real, this peace thing. He says its still on and poppin’! and they wanna beat Meek up still!
Why?
https://www.instagram.com/p/BMHo-MGB3zT/
What is going on? The beef stays cooking in Hip-Hop. It seems like The Game and Wack 100 are also often out of synch. Like that time Adrien Broner was “suicidal” and Wack told him to kill himself. And then, The Game was chillin’ with the boxer that next day or so.
And what are these issues Rozay has in Miami? Wack is crazy! #bool
I know The Game wants peace, Meek wants peace and now Ross wants peace. Wack wants a fade. I imagine Ross is like:
Rumors hit Thursday that singer Mariah Carey’s would-be future husband, billionaire James Packer, broke up with Mimi over alleged extravagant spending habits. He also allegedly hated the nature of her intrusive reality show.
Sources close to Mariah are now claiming that Mariah expressed that Packer is not in his right mind and he has been violent towards her. They even went as far as saying that Packer isn’t mentally stable.
According to TMZ, sources close to the former couple informed them that Packer violated Mariah’s assistant in Greece as he did “something really bad”. He also sent her packing. The source alleges that Packer also became violent.
Apparently Packer is claiming that Mariah’s claims are simply untrue, and Mariah is just being herself, a true diva.
If Packer is in fact mentally unstable, they certainly made a crazy pair, as we’ve all heard the stories about how crazy Mariah allegedly is. Crazy or not, at least the diva is one of the best to do it.
Maybe there is some truth to the claims of violence, as a video has been floating around that seems to show Packer grabbing Mariah’s arm.
