Actor Bokeem Woodbine Says Tupac Planned Feud-Ending Record With Biggie & Mobb Deep

According to veteran actor Bokeem Woodbine, Tupac was on the verge of creating a feud-ending and genre-shifting record before his untimely death.

Woodbine, who also starred in Tupac’s classic “I Ain’t Mad At Cha” music video claims Pac shared the details of the planned record while they were filming the “All Eyez On Me” single.

The secret record allegedly would’ve featured Notorious B.I.G., Mobb Deep, and a few other East Coast rappers, as an effort to end the beef.

“He had a plan to put everybody together on one record and just squash the beef. He wanted to take the power away from the labels that were exploiting the situation. It angered him that they were profiting; he wanted to stop the cash flow. It wasn’t something I was supposed to tell people about, you know what I’m saying? I honored that, and I just waited for that record to come out. But unfortunately, as you know, it never did,” Woodbine told The Fader.

This news comes years after Pac’s untimely death. Lil’ Cease even revealed that Biggie and Pac would’ve definitely settled their beef had they had the opportunity to do so.

Cease always believed if Pac and Big would’ve talked after that infamous Source Awards, things would’ve been different because they saw each other on numerous occasions and nothing happened.

Man this record would’ve been EPIC! Who do you think would’ve brought the best verse?

Was Mary J. Blige’s Husband Creeping With Karrine “Superhead” Steffans?

All I know is Mary J. Blige’s next album is about to be FIRE!!!!

The Hip Hop Soul/ R&B legend has been dealing with a large amount of drama as she’s decided to file for divorce from her husband of 12 years, Kendu Isaacs.

The rumors keep getting messier and messier. Allegedly Mary decided to split from her husband because she found out that he was stealing money from her.

The latest rumor is that Blige found out that Isaacs has been having an affair with industry hoe vixen Karrine “Superhead” Steffans.

According to Funky Dineva, sources close to Steffans claim that Isaacs was sleeping with the woman known as “Superhead” and that Blige knew of her soon-to-be ex-husband’s affair. The source also claims that Blige would call Steffans’ place looking for her husband and that Blige and Steffans once had an icy exchange at an industry party when Steffans tried to pretend the affair wasn’t happening and approached Blige.

To make matters worse, Isaacs has allegedly slept with other women as well.

As usual, Steffans hopped on Instagram to try to dispel the rumors, but no one believes her.

“Here I am, at Trader Joe’s, buying organic fruits and vegetables for my family, when I get a slew of interview requests because of yet another false accusation. The truth is that most of what urban blogs post about me is 100% made up. These false reports add to the disparaging views people have of me and usually, I’m content to let people think what they want. Today, however, is not one of those days. I live a simple life. I’m not out and about. I’m never at the party. There are no photos of videos circulating of me doing much of anything and that’s because I don’t do much. I stay home, I take care of my family, and I run my businesses quietly. My life is drama free. I am happy, healthy, and whole. But, I guess that’s what irritates people the most. I don’t know why I’m a target. I don’t know why people pick on me. I’m not sure why people aren’t content to just leave me alone. I try my best to be a positive force, to share my experiences in an attempt to help those going through much of what I have experienced. I’ve built a brand that is dedicated to help and education. I volunteer my time. I lecture at universities around the country, sometimes for free. I give and I give and when I’m tired, I give some more. What have I done that’s so bad that I have to be continuously demeaned and undermined? No, I have never had an inappropriate relationship with Kendu Isaacs. No, he has never cheated on his wife with me. Yes, we are friends and have been for 10 years. Naturally, when his friends heard about his marital troubles, we all rallied around him to show support. Divorce is painful. I’ve been through three marriages and I understand the gut wrenching agony the end of a marriage causes. I sincerely wish Kendu and Ms. Blige peace and love, no matter the outcome, and I would appreciate not being dragged into the gossip. Thanks,” Steffans wrote.

She lyin’! Naw who knows though lol.

Game Drops “92 Bars” Diss To Meek Mill Over Snitching Allegations

(AllHipHop News) It looks like Meek Mill has a new adversary in Game, who just dropped a new diss track against the Philly rapper titled “92 Bars.”

The beef apparently stems from an incident in Los Angeles, where Sean Kingston was robbed and hit in the head with a bottle.

Game is claiming that Meek implied his people were involved with the robbery, where Sean Kingston was jacked for $300,000 worth of jewels.

Apparently Game was questioned by police over the robbery.

“When you see me n##ga, square up,” Game, adding “Meek Mill not snitching on me. I never heard of that… F##k that n##ga.”

EXCLUSIVE: Ron Elliot, Shawn “OG Turtle” Lindsey & Marquise Jackson Talk ‘Dope Fiend’ (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Filmmaker Ron Elliot and former drug dealer Shawn “Turtle” Lindsey came together to produce the new independent movie Dope Fiend.

The film is loosely based on Turtle’s life and addresses the issue of gentrification.

Dope Fiend stars Malik Yoba, Tobias Truvillion, Andra Fuller, Hisham Tawfiq, Dutchess Lattimore, Ephraim Benton, Leonardo Arias, Sakina Deer, and in his on-screen debut, 50 Cent’s son Marquise Jackson.

AllHipHop.com connected with Elliott, Turtle, and Jackson following the Brooklyn-set project winning “Best Feature” at the Newark International Film Festival.

While the plot follows drama playing out in the streets of New York, the director does not embrace the description of Dope Fiend being just a “hood movie.” In his view, there is a deeper message being conveyed.

“People like to categorize things into whatever fits them. This is a story about power, family, and how politics and our community is directly affected by it,” says Elliot. “It shows the macro and the micro of it. It shows how the family is really affected by drugs and the choices we make. Not just the drugs, but our involvement in how we react to these things that happen to us.”

Lupe Fiasco Admits That Kendrick Lamar Makes Better Music Than Him

It’s clearly apparent that K. Dot is a beast, and now it looks like Lupe Fiasco is finally ready to admit that Kendrick Lamar makes better music than him.

Fiasco is no stranger to constantly expressing his opinion and debating with fans on Twitter. Lupe admitted that K. Dot was superior while engaging in a conversation with a fellow Twitter user (#TweetAndDeleteFiles).

Lupe replied to a fan saying Kendrick’s music is better by agreeing with the fan. Although he agreed, he did state that he believes that him and Kendrick are evenly matched when it comes to just the rapping.

“Musically no…straight up rapping tho? We might have to go to the judges on that…either way,” Lupe Fiasco said.

Unfortunately another Twitter user let Lupe know that he fell short with what he was supposed to accomplish with his career as he said Lupe was supposed to be what Kendrick is today.

“In 06 I believed you were supposed to be what Kendrick now is for the culture. You were supposed to be the voice what happen.”

As least Lupe is honest! Wouldn’t you love to see these two in a rap battle?

Skepta Beats Out David Bowie For 2016 Mercury Prize

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Skepta shocked the music world on Thursday night (September 15) when he beat out heavy favorite David Bowie to win the 2016 Mercury Prize.

The music icon was tipped as the frontrunner to win the album award for Blackstar, which was released two days before his death in January, and many experts believed the late music icon would be the first ever posthumous recipient of the Mercury Prize.

But grime star Skepta took home the award for Konichiwa.

Pulp star Jarvis Cocker announced the winner during the ceremony at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, and noted Bowie himself would have wanted Skepta to take the honor.

“We as a jury decided that if David Bowie was looking down on the Hammersmith Apollo tonight, let’s face it, maybe he is… he would want the 2016 Hyundai Mercury Prize to go Skepta,” Cocker said just before handing the award to the victor.

Skepta, real name Joseph Junior Adenuga, was emotional as he accepted the prize, saying, “Thank you, thank you… First I want to thank everybody who helped me put together the Konichiwa album. “I’ve been trying to do this music for so long, I want to thank my friends and my family… we did this for us and the love is very appreciated… More love, more greatness and thanks for the support.”

A $33,000 cash prize was given to the 33-year-old, who also beat out the likes of Laura Mvula, The 1975, Kano and Bat For Lashes, among others, for the top album award.

Young Thug’s Fiancee Slams Billboard Over “Two Brides” Stunt

Uh oh! Young Thug’s fiancee, Jerrika Karlae, is saying Billboard is with the sh*ts again! Many still haven’t forgiven them for leaving Tupac off of their ‘Greatest Rappers’ list.

Word spread quickly that Young Thug would be having two brides in his wedding according to his recent interview with Billboard.

Fans immediately began wondering if there was a sister wife in hiding, or would Thugger himself rock a nice white wedding gown!

According to Jerrika, the two brides rumor was a nice joke. She said Billboard completely twisted Thug’s words as she was there for the entire interview.

“[He] never said any of that stuff verbatim,” she said.

We have to say, it was certainly believable, and one of these designers would’ve gladly made the dress for him.

Jimmy Iovine Says Apple Is Not Interested In Buying Tidal

(AllHipHop News) Sorry Kanye West. It seems Apple Music and Tidal will not be merging.

The G.O.O.D. Music boss called on Apple to give Jay Z a check for the streaming service, but Apple Music executive Jimmy Iovine told Buzzfeed his company has no interest in purchasing Tidal.

“We’re really running our own race,” said Iovine. “We’re not looking to acquire any streaming services.”

There had been multiple reports that Apple Music and Tidal were in talks to merge the two brands. The companies are among the most publicized streaming services along with Spotify.

Both Apple Music and Tidal have attempted to gain footing in the competitive marketplace by offering subscribers exclusive content. Apple Music premiered albums by Drake, Chance The Rapper, and Frank Ocean. Tidal premiered albums by Rihanna, Kanye West, and Beyoncé.

Tidal’s parent company Aspiro AB suffered a $28 million net loss in 2015. However, the business’ revenue rose 30% during that same time frame. Jay Z, Kanye West, and several other entertainers became part owners of Tidal last year.

Kanye West’s Mix Of J. Dilla’s “The Anthem” To Appear On Dilla’s Vinly Release “The Middle Finger”

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s previously unreleased mix of the late great J.Dilla’s track “The Anthem,” will finally hit the masses.

The sing is set to be featured on Dilla’s upcoming vinyl release The Middle Finger, due for an October 5 unveiling via Rappcats.

Rolling Stone reports that although “The Anthem,” was previously released in April as a Dilla production on the album The Diary, the original version was actually crafted by Yeezy.

West has been very vocal about his love for Dilla’s music. In the Stone’s Throw documentary Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton he referenced the artist as a creative guide.

“We gotta make music and think, ‘If Dilla was alive, would he like this?'” admiringly states West in the documentary.

He then added,”the best respect that we can pay to great artists that have inspired us so much is to never sell out.”

MC War To Present “Bone Crusher Vs Pastor Troy” Battle In Atlanta

(AllHipHop News) “Keith Murray vs. Fredro Starr” was one of the most talked about rap battles of 2015. The league that put together that viral face-off is planning another veteran-against-veteran match.

On October 8th, MC WAR Promotions and Fight Tyme will present “Bone Crusher vs. Pastor Troy” in Atlanta. The event will take place during A3C Festival weekend at an undisclosed location.

Fans can also live stream the two Georgia natives’ lyrical clash on mcwar.com. Production for the battle will be provided by Stroud of Hustle Gang.
